Delicious Ayurvedic food - Edit
Veda House is a lovely place for many reasons - the relaxed atmosphere, the endless variety of teas served in beautiful hand made pottery, the nice people who hang around there... but what I love the most is the food. You feel the love and harmony in it. And the taste is special, like nowhere else in the world.

Cute lil boho tea house - Edit
Nice selection of tea and desserts. Everything was clearly labeled. Pakoras were tasty but definitely not the pakoras you’d get at an Indian restaurant- think more like heavily battered tempura

Not Good - Edit
My vegetarian friend and I convinced 4 Omni guys to come eat with us here. All 6 of our dishes were gross. The tofu and setain were mushy, even the pasta and humus were nasty. I am do upset that these boys were reenfirced that vegan food is "gross" because of this experience. Slow service and expensive as well

Cosy - Edit
Very cute and cozy place. The waiter was very nice and helped me with the menu, I ordered a tofu dish. It is a little bit pricy for Bulgaria, but as a tourist you should find it cheap/middle range.

Just no! - Edit
Unfortunately, the food I ordered was inedible due to the insane amount of salt (soy sauce) used. A serving of plain white rice was 5 lv. Overall, I left hungry and disappointed.

Salt overload - Edit
I really wanted to like this place. Reviews are positive, the cafe looked very cute and the server was friendly. The first time we attempted to eat it was 11:45 and the kitchen didn't open till 12. Okay, so we tried again later when we had more time and the food was beautiful, but completely inedible due to insane levels of salt. We ordered two small sides of rice to tame it and received a fairly big charge 5 leva charge each on our bill.

Cute but small portions - Edit
Went there for lunch. It is a small hippie place in a small street near the main shopping street.
Read moreLots of vegan choices and healthy, yummy food. Portion sizes were a bit small though.
Also the shop focuses on tea - they have tons of types of tea. But not a large selection of cold drinks. I had homemade gingerade, which was good but not chilled.
Pros: Healthy and yummy, Great tea selection, Cute, relaxed vibes
Cons: small portions, ice cream not vegan, few vegan desserts

Delicious food, slow service - Edit
Went there to have dinner. Three out of four things where lovely, however the guacamole we ordered was with avocado that wasn't ripe yet. Really nice tea and chocolate balls. The service was a bit slow even though it wasn't very busy. Reasonable prices.

Amazing vegan food - Edit
I ordered the hummus and seeded brown bread as a starter and seitan with fried peppers and fresh parsley with a lemon wedge for my main. Both were beyond delicious. The seitan had a perfect texture and the flavours were beautiful. I ordered the vegan dessert balls consisting of: raw chocolate truffles, chilli balls and another vegan ball coated with sesame seeds. All were very lovely. For drinks I got the Christmas tea and the still minty lemonade. I’ve never seen more aromatic teas before. Very pleasant experience overall.

Great Food, Tea and Friendly Staff - Edit
I went here for an evening meal a few days ago (Jan 2018) and really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and the place has a really nice feel about it, with people relaxing and having different tea. The menu is rammed full of different teas but also nice food options. I had the Saitan and it was very nice.

Great Tea House - Edit
Veda House saved my life when it rained heavily during my stay in Sofia. It's a really cozy place, and as it's mainly a tea house, there is a great selection of teas to help you warm up during bad weather. If it's warm you can simply get a smoothie if you're not into hot drinks.
Read moreThere are several vegan main courses that are really good. I had the tofu with vegetables on one occasion and the seitan with quinoa and vegetables another time. Both tasted really good and were filling.
The service is really good as well, and I think this is probably one of the best places you can go in Sofia as a vegan.
Pros: Central location, Several vegan options, Cozy

Good for vegetarians - Edit
My sister and I have visited Veda House a few times during our stay in BG. Their extensive tea & drink menu is wonderful- particularly enjoyed the sparkling ginger lemonade and the terreré. As far as desserts go, there is not much to choose from for vegans- food menu has a few good options. Vegetarians will do fine, as the whole menu is meat-free but not necessarily dairy-free. Lovely atmosphere & staff!

Cons: Could use more dairy-free options

Cozy tea house with great food options - Edit
This was a great find on a chilly, spring Sunday in Sofia. The tea menu was extensive, and the food was fantastic. Definitely a lunch/brunch spot, with clearly marked vegan options on the menu. They also had raw ball options for dessert, which was a nice touch since there is rarely vegan desserts at most restaurants.

Tranquil tea house in Sofia - Edit
Absolutely loved the chill vibes here and calming decor, especially the floor seating with really comfortable cushions to sit on. I had the cauliflower, smoked tea & walnut dish, which had a really delicate flavour and was a nice and light, healthy meal. I also enjoyed the strawberry banana chia smoothie and although they were out of the flavour of vegan ice cream I wanted to try, the owner gave me a nice combo of ginger and banana and it was delicious! She even threw in a little vegan chocolate treat for free, which was much appreciated!

Honey Is NOT Vegan - Edit
The deserts list includes honey. I am sorry to see that the lack of information is confusing the customers. Hope they will work on it. Honey is an ANIMAL PRODUCT, please don't list it as vegan.

Exceptional! - Edit
To put it in two simple words: Totally awesome!
Read moreThis venue is a gem within Sofia, you won't regret your visit. I enjoyed every minute there.
Very lovely interior with great vibe. Countless teas to choose from and delicious dishes, especially Tabbouleh, an Arabic parsley salad, which I loved. For dessert they offered a chocolate cake with nuts in it which blow me away totally twice (as I was there two days in a row).
There is a menu in English available. Staff was really friendly and attentive. Wi-Fi connection fast and reliable.
Moreover, central location and great value of food/drinks.
I can't think of a single thing in Veda House I didn't like.

Great vibe - Edit
This spot is alright. I like the atmosphere and the calm and peaceful vibes, be prepared to immerse yourself into a spiritual Indian place. I really enjoyed the food there. All vegan dishes are marked and the diversity is great. I had the Satin quinoa entree and it was delicious. Great flavors and texture, but even for my taste i thought that the dish was a bit greasy. We also had the special of the day soup, which was mild but herbaceous. And both of the Kjftenca were mouthful and bringing very pleasant heat.
Read moreI have to say that it easily could have been an amazing place if it wasn't for the long wait. I mean lunch took over two hours. The staff seamed kinda disorganized and not very attentive. I would give them another try because after talking to some of the people, it was clear that this is not a regular thing.
Pros: Delicious food, Location
Cons: Slow service
