Always great - Edit
V Ramen is one of my favourite vegan spots in Mexico City. Both the ramen and the sushi are delicious - the plantain sushi being a particular favourite. If you’re craving cruelty-free Japanese food in CDMX I doubt you’ll be disappointed here.

Good with a beer - Edit
The ramen is tasty and customizable, but the bowl I received was WAY too salty. It would probably be perfect after a few beers. Maybe it was a fluke? I'm sure I'll be back but will just have to try and specify less salt... Still giving 4 stars for friendly, prompt service, good flavors besides the salt, and for having vegan ramen in the first place!

Amazing food! We didn’t expect Japanese vegan food to be so delicious - Edit
We absolutely loved the food. They serve the whole vegan menu of ramens, sushi, rice dishes and vegan deserts. The food was very tasty and prices so cheap for the whole value. Finally there is a vegan version of Japanese food available. We had to come back several times that’s how much we loved it. Highly recommended to all vegans!

Tasty but small portions - Edit
I tried the sample menu tasted good although it was super tiny and left me wanting more... I think the price was a little too much when compared to portion size.

No Muy Bueno - Edit
Puede que sea vegano pero la comida no era muy buena, yo comí ramen y la pasta estaba pasada de cocción y estaba muy salado. No lo recomiendo.

Phenomenally delicious vegan Japanese food!! - Edit
I lived as a vegan in Japan for 2 years, and I ate at dozens of vegan restaurants in and around Tokyo, Nagano, Osaka, and Kyoto, and I can say that this is literally one of the best that I have been to! Their various versions of vegan ramen are delicious, their kimchi 100% vegan and spot on, the vegan gyoza and dipping sauce are wonderful, and there are so many other vegan options: onigiri (rice balls), taiyaki, sushi, and lots more. Honestly, this restaurant is just phenomenal, and I can't wait to head back and eat more!!

Weird taste - Edit
I came here thinking that there’s no way you can screw up a ramen soap or Japanese food. I was totally wrong. Sadly this is the worst ramen I’ve ever had. I ordered Gyosas, ramen and rice and everything tasted like soap. So sad

Really? Your review simply comes off as obnoxious and ignorant. Tastes like "soap"? Have you ever eaten real Japanese food? The flavors here are complex, and they are veganized versions of traditional Japanese recipes. At any rate, it's a real shame when vegans go out of their way to be obnoxious and hurt vegan businesses and restaurant owners that are doing fabulous things with their culinary skills.

Pros: Comida deliciosa y genuina, Precios accesibles

Could use a bit more flavor - Edit
I had a vegan ramen, gyozos and a wakame salad. I know that I’m far from Japan, but I was a bit disappointed because I found the food tasteless. The atmosphere was great and the staff too, but a bit more miso in the soup would have been good!

Vegan Okonomiyaki - Edit
Okonomiyaki is probably my favourite food of all time, so this place was heaven for me, especially since I feel like most Japanese restaurants don't necessarily have it on their menu. It's delicious and a good portion for 110$, but if you're extremely hungry you might want to consider getting more than just the pancake. The atmosphere is very casual, somewhere in between a food stall and a small restaurant. The owner of the place is really friendly too. Would absolutely recommend it!

Pricy for the portion size - Edit
A really sweet and friendly german/canadian lady worked here. I asked why they weren't on happy cow and im glad to see them on here few days later as this is the main way vegans find vegan spots.
Read moreI had he curry with potatoes and carrots with rice. The curry had so much flavor but there were barely any potatoes and carrots. the amount of rice given was kinda...sad. Needed more carrots, more potatoes and definitely more rice. I felt like i was tasting a dish rather than having a satisfying lunch.
The limonada (carbonated) was amazing and had basil in it. Probably the best limonada i have had.
Pros: Very flavorful Vegan japanese food, Great staff
Cons: Small Portion size, Pricy
