Wow this place is amazing. And yes it’s more pricey than others but still super cheap compared to home. The price is worth the food quality, staff and ambiance. It’s a gorgeous, spa like space. The food was fabulous and the staff were able to easily identify the vegan options. (I would be great to have those labelled of course). The menu is all in Vietnamese but I found an English one on their website http://uudamchay.com/menu.pdf

Great food with a variety of non-traditional, Vietnamese and Asian options. Small portions but think of it like tapas to share at $3-5 USD each. My only complaint is the chanting music is a bit loud and repetitive. Went twice and it was the same both times.

Wonderful place! Took my girl here for our anniversary. Beautiful location, very stylish. Expensive for Ha Noi standards but still very affordable. The food was good but not excellent. I would still definitely recommend it! The spring rolls are especially good!

The dishes were creative, but we just didn't enjoy the flavors that much. The soup was served lukewarm and one of the other dishes we ordered was too. We like our food hot. There was a ton of staff, but they were not too organized or attentive.

This place is for people who either has something to celebrate or has a fat wallet😉 food is delicious, although the portions in reality looks much smaller then on the menu. And even they claim themselves vegan, they still use cow milk for coffees and milkshakes, which sad, cause there so many subs around. And the durian pizza was delightful, but the taste of dairy butter was pretty strong, even i was assured that its 100% vegan. So mixed feelings

Our experience was good but started of poorly with a waitress who didn't understand the difference between vegetarian and vegan. Once we got a lady who spoke English the night went a lot better. They have a huge menu and if they marked vegan items, it would've be a lot easier to order for vegans.

The best in Hanoi - Edit
This was the best restaurant we found 10 days in Hanoi. Our first visit on a Sunday lunchtime started with a 10 minute wait for a table as even though this is a large venue it was full of locals enjoying a superb menu with a wide variety of dishes that are excellently presented in tasteful surroundings.

Of the many dishes we tried I'd pick out the Green Rice with basil and peas, the square spring rolls and the tofu triangles with tomato sauce. Also, don't miss out on the fruit cocktails which are totally delicious and are so wonderfully presented.
For a first class meal expect to pay 500,000 to 700,000 dong for two very full people.

Food taste: good, but definitely not worth the price. Macadamia fried rice was nice but nothing special. In my opinion corn and peas are cheap fillers and could be replaced with better vegetables. Square spring rolls were great but small portion.
Price: average dish price around 100,000 dong and need at least two, maybe three dishes to feel satisfied. Drinks were expensive so didn't order one,
Service: fine, although at one point a waitress came and took the plant decoration off my table without a word, as though she was packing down for the night.
Overall: this food would be great in a cafe but does not live up to the hype or standard set by the venue or price of the food.

Seemed hard to actually get anyone to serve me in this fine establishment. Although half the tables were empty they seemed a little annoyed I hadn't booked a table at lunchtime for one person.
Read moreThey took forever to take my order and I had to speak to about 5 different people to get what I wanted... A simple pad Thai and a side order of chilli tofu. I made two attempts to order but both servers walked away without saying anything.
When I finally got my order in I was pleased with the result. The food was well presented and tasted great. It's a little more pricey than some other places around Hanoi but it's great if you want a bit of a special evening.

Went twice during my 3 day trip to Hanoi..loved the food..Try the uu dam special spring rolls with peanut dip it is superb, we had vegetable rice in pineapple - lovely presentation and amazing taste, tried Mexican taco which was not bad but u can try other items like pomelo salad which had pieces of mango and tasted v good, we also tried jaggery sweet soup with fruits and coconut - lovely dessert.

I've been here about 6 or 7 times now over the past year. The restaurant is beautiful. It's a very nice atmosphere to be in. Unfortunately, the food does not live up to the atmosphere. It's perfectly fine, but not special in any way. They're super stingy with the drinks too. They will only give you one tiny cup of drinking water, instead requiring you to spend a ridiculous amount on small bottles of water, wasting plastic and hurting the environment. The drink options are made up entirely of their mocktails, all of which contain one or two ingredients I don't like. They refuse to make a plain fruit juice or change up any ingredients in the drink options.

Not much to say about this restaurant. The food is fine dining level good. The presentation is fine dining level. The decor is fine dining. The price is high for Vietnam but very reasonable all things considered. We ate 5 dishes with drinks and the bill was 25USD.

The place is a little bit fancy and nice decorated. Only a few tourist around. The staff is very helpful and they have menu in english.

I knew from the second I walked in that I would love this place. It's beautifully decorated and very clean. I read that they didn't have an English menu, but they actually did :) There are A LOT of options that it's a little overwhelming, but there is a photo of everything which helps. I had the jicama salad which was incredibly fresh, the quesadilla which was delicious and light (I don't think it was vegan though), and a non-alcoholic blueberry mojito which was gorgeous in an of itself and very tasty.

The prices are definitely more western, but in my opinion it's so worth it.
I would recommend making dinner reservations, as the place gets very busy.

The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous from the moment you walk in. English menu with tons of vegan options. The Pineapple Fried Rice was sooo good and the Thai Vermicelli Salad was nice and spicy which is something we were craving for. Tasty rolls too. Also tried one of their hot pot sets which were enough to comfortably fill 4 tummies. Staff are friendly and very attentive since there's always about 4 of them hanging by each table. Only downside is that they made us order Evian water which obviously costed a bomb and didn't have options for filtered water or regular mineral water. Tip: Skip the Evian water and go for one of the drinks instead since it costs pretty much the same.

Beautiful restaurant - Edit
The restaurant is only two blocks down from Hoan Kiem lake, easy to walk from the old quarter. It is a really beautiful looking place. The staff were very friendly. I had stuffed tofu, which was quite nice, and thin summer rolls that I did not like that much. For me the food did not live up to the location, but it still offers much nicer and more creative food than a com chay, and the prices were not too high.

Although there is a large sign outside saying VEGAN this is only a vegetarian restaurant. However, most dishes were vegan and our server checked if we ate milk or eggs when we ordered. She also remembered later in the meal when we asked about desserts (very few vegan options, as usual, sadly - we got cocktails instead!).
The food was interesting and tasty, lots of fresh flavours, all plant and tofu based. Pecan soup, tofu stuffed with mushrooms, fresh spring rolls and a fried rice with crunchy macadamia nuts served in a pineapple were some of the highlights.
Very comfy seats, good service and arranging the seating in several different areas meant that, although the restaurant was fully booked, it wasn't horribly noisy.
Most expensive meal in Hanoi as it worked out around £15 each but would have been several times that in UK!
Pros: Server helped us make sure our food was vegan, mos, So well designed and presented.
Cons: Vegan sign outside and referring to itself as ", No exciting vegan desserts!

Among my best meals ever. So delicious. And the restaurant is so beautiful. Over several visits, got the lotus seed soup and the fat choy soup and the pine nut soup, the mushroom in coconut water, the braised green banana in clay pot, summer rolls, square spring rolls, khai tam fungus, fried rice with macadamia (rather plain on its own but good as a side rice), mushroom with tofu served on girdle cake (good but maybe less popular in our group), and brown rice tea. Also got tofu in pineapple sauce, which we didn't like, just pain tofu in sauce. We also didn't like the sweet soup. The brown rice tea was also very good. I also offered a special, bánh chưng, which I thought was amazing but my companion thought was plain. All in all an absolutely excellent restaurant.

This restaurant is very well designed with great spaces. The menu is almost fully vegan and offers soups, salads, starters, tofu dishes, other entrees and even fresh juice blends.
Read moreTwo of us had fresh mushroom spring rolls with classic Uu Dam sauce (insanely delicious), pineapple macadamia fried rice and mushroom stuffed tofu pieces in gorgeous tomato sauce. For dessert they told us they had a raspberry cake, it was served beautifully and tasted more like a bavarois. The only small down was the service, sometimes not as good as what you would expect in such a refined environment.

Fantastic upscale Vietnamese vege cuisine - Edit
This beautiful, multi-story restaurant has a very large menu of Vietnamese selections, and everything we tried was great. Delicious and beautifully prepared. It is a pricey place for Hanoi, maybe $15 for a large meal instead of onhy $2.00, but well worth it. Every serious vegetarian should try it out. The decor was also impressive and tasteful. Highly recommended.

We ate here on Sunday 20th August for lunch. This is one of the the more upmarket vegan eateries. The menu was in Vietnamese and did have a picture of the dish, but I like to know what are the ingredients, my partner translated and ordered for me.We had brown rice with lotus seeds served in lotus leaves, this was very tasty. We shared three plates one bock choy with shitake, a plate of raw spring rolls and mixed vegetables with lotus and cashews, The dishes were served well decorated, a bit over flavoured, the mixed vegetables was too sweet, either sugar syrup or honey (waitress said not honey). My partner has a bamboo shaped glass with cinnamon tea. Bill came to 400,000d ($20), well worth visiting. The ambience was a bit austere, the muzak was a bit boring, repeated itself over and over.
