Amazing all vegan bakery! They have a partnership with “Flux Cafe” which is on the same floor, just a few metres away. If it’s raining you can eat your Universal Bakes sweets there!

A lovely little cafe we visited after the Cat temple.
Read moreSo many options! Croissant, curry bread and potato bread we must haves.
We didn't understand that we had to order a soup to eat in so that we could sit down and eat. But after a google translation, we were able to sit down and enjoy our meal.

I loved it. Lovely stuff and food. And chilling with my coffee and delicious food on the bench outside on a sunny spring day before exploring the area was bliss.

Best vegan bakery ever - Edit
I’ve been vegan for 24 years and this place had the best baked goods I’ve ever had! The chocolate croissant alone was worth the long trip to Japan. Other standouts: butter bread with yuzu, the glazed donuts, and the chocolate bun. The lemonade was also very refreshing. I could eat here every day!

Great options! - Edit
Everything was delicious! Located upstairs so google maps address was initially a little tricky. All the options were great, from sweet to savoury. Coffee probably the best I’ve had in Japan so far.

Cute bakery in a trendy location - Edit
There were so many options to choose from! They had mostly sweet options, but also a few savoury ones, eg. curry bread. We also got the seasonal sakura themed muffin and bread.

Best Vegan Bakery In Tokyo - Edit
We visited both locations and were not disappointed. Best bakery with a variety of savory and sweet options. We tried a sweet and savory toast, both delicious but preferred the savory option. And later tried the red bean paste doughnut, a lemon glaze doughnut (not pictured), and a curry stuffed bread (not pictured because it was devoured). Would've gone back again if given the opportunity.

The donuts are amazing - Edit
I got the glazed donut and it’s the closest thing I’ve had to a Krispy Kreme donut since going vegan. So fluffy and delicious. Totemo Oishii desu!

Bakery heaven - Edit
Oh my god the chocolate donut.. I don’t know how it has the right to be so delicious. I’m convinced anything made at Universal Bakes is bound to be amazing. The chocolate and raspberry croissant was so decadent and the salty bun with kelp inside was out of this world!

Best vegan chocolate croissant… - Edit
Chocolate croissants were my favorite before becoming vegan and I have yet to find a vegan version that matches the flaky texture that I remember. Well, the chocolate croissant they make here comes close enough. It was so good. I was impressed by the variety of donuts and pastries they offer at this all vegan bakery as well. Simply wow’ed. Every vegan should pay this place a visit if ever in Tokyo.

Very good bakes - Edit
I tried the old school chocolate donut and the coffee bun. The chocolate on the donut was very good but the donut was a bit too dry, still yummy though. The coffee bun was very delicious, recommend!

Delightful - Edit
Went to Universal Bakes Nicome after visiting Universal Bakes and Cafe and it was everything we had hoped for. There was a great selection of savoury and sweet treats - we got the gluten free donut and a chocolate roll. The cold brew was much needed on a hot day and delightfully smooth. Definitely worth a stop for a quick bite and some relaxing vibes.
