Amazing ramen - Edit
We were three persons at the table, the waitress took time to ask us our preference and referred us each a different dish. Every plate was really delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Love love love - Edit
Great atmosphere in the garden patio, attentive service, tasty sake by the carafe. Above all though, the food was truly spectacular. Nice authentic flavours in the dishes like okonomiyaki, tofu agadashi, and gyoza that actually reminded me of Japan. LOVE that they have a cold soup option. My only regret was that the tantanmen ramen was too big for me after all the appetizers we tried. This place is a new favourite for sure.

Best vegan Japanese food - Edit
Wow!! So impressed by my experience here! My family had the tasting menu (37$) which includes a selection of their izakaya small dishes plus desserts. Definitely worth it! My favorites were the tempeh tonkatsu and the donut with soy ice cream. Staff was super friendly and the outdoor dining area is beautiful and calm. Loved it! I definitely want to come back and try their ramen too.

Great food - Edit
I recommend the kimchi ramen!!! Okonomiyaki very good, a bit too salty. Kimchi fries are ok, not enough sauce. kontaksu (fried tempeh) was good. Suteki tamago was really good for mushroom lovers. Loved the tsukenomo.

An inspiring menu - Edit
Flavourful dishes! They have their own fermented food & they also make their own ramen. For appetizer, I had a pancake made of cabbage and mushrooms. The texture and taste was quite unique. A must-try ! I definitely need to go back to try out the other dishes.

So delicious! - Edit
Umami Ramen is an incredible, delicious, elegant and original restaurant that cares about the quality of their food and the satisfaction of their clients. Everything is made in-house, fresh and it shows in every bite you take. Their dishes are creatively executed and the presentation is beautiful. The style is chic Japanese, very fitting for special and casual events.
Read moreI chose the 35$ per person service. It was delicious, and I got to discover authentic dishes. I loved the algae and potato salads, the dumplings, the fried tofu. Everything was amazing! I returned a few times to try different items on the menu and I've never been disappointed. Their tempeh ramen is delicious!
Pros: Excellent food, Friendly and helpful staff, Chic and modern vibe

Incredible - best spot in town! - Edit
I have been about 20 times and have never been disappointed neither by the ambiance not the food nor the service. Cocktails and all their sake selection j. On point. The agedashi and eggplant entrées are insane and the tantanmen ramen is spicy and so savory. I always go back for it!

Feels like in Japan - Edit
Beautiful modern restaurant with traditional japanese food. The ramen soups were really good. The okonomiyaki was also great. It was the first time I had a vegan okonomiyaki, so it was nice to remember what it tastes like. The prices are quite cheap for what you get. You leave the restaurant really full. I will definitely go back.

A wonderful surprise!! - Edit
Wow. I ate here last night with two people and we were overwhelmed with the great time we had! We each ordered the 35$ tasting menu, which consisted of having entree dishes come to our table for a very long time!! The food was fresh, beautifully presented, unique and delicious. The service was perfect as well. The only con was that we found ourselves be a little chilly in there; so dress warmly! Otherwise, fantastic dinner experience for which I am eager to have again.

Flavourful Ramen & Delicious Gyoza! - Edit
The miso ramen was delicious - packed with flavour. Definitely on the saltier side, but a far cry from the vegan ramen I’ve had else where that just seem to put noodles in a plain vegetable broth. The gyoza was also tasty! 5 pieces for $7.00. A tad on the pricy side, but well worth the price. The decor is really nice with a good vibe. Spicy dishes are very spicy! Not for the weak at heart.

Ramen - Edit
The place looks great and service is amazing but I found the kimchi creamy ramen not creamy enough, the kimchi overwhelmed everything else, which aas fine but nothing amazing. The Tantan ramen tasted good but was a bit too salty for my taste. The broth was also too thick for a Tantan, it felt more like eating spaghetti than enjoying a ramen. The edamame was surpisingly very cold with steak very salty spices o too of then, which was a weird take. Nevertheless, the noodles were great and homemade, which is a plus.

Very nice ramen place for everyone - Edit
The appetizers (tofu, tempeh) were tasty and suprising. I took the spicy miso ramen because I like ramen soup when it's creamy, and yes it was!!! The staff was very friendly and quick. A very positive experience, even for my omni friends.

It’s really good! The panko crusted tempeh was the stand out for us. - Edit
Lovely warm atmosphere with a well thought out menu. We liked everything we had very much. They also have a couple of fantastic non-alcoholic cocktails. The beignet was decadent and delicious too.

Loved the food - Edit
The ramen is stellar, but the agedashi tofu was the star. The hot fried donut was the best way to finish the meal. The only con is the wait staff took a long time to acknowledge my party when we walked in, even though the restaurant wasn't that full.

Homemade heaven - Edit
Went to lunch with colleagues today. They had been there previously, but this was my first time. I had the "Shoyu Tokio style" and it was soooo delicious. Everything was made to perfection -- noodles, veggies, tofu... all of it. (And they even make their own tofu!) The place is really nice, and the service was great as well. I will definitely come back to try other options, especially the ones only available in the evening.

Un incontournable! - Edit
