I was happy to hear there is finally a fully vegan stand at Plac Nowy. Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The fries were very good, but the seitan nuggets were unfortunately quite tasteless. Pro tip: the Box 5 is enough for 2 people, the portion is huge! Trust me, if you are alone, Box 3 is more than enough.

Pros: Location, Tasty fries

Cons: No seating during my visit, Seitan taste

Fantastic fast food concept in a nice part of krakow. Simple stuff. We had kinda bad weather so there is no way to eat in front of the shop.

Wegańskie tendies! - Edit

Uapami is a tiny little food stand mixed in with a bunch of others in an outdoor market in the Jewish Quarter. I thought it was closed since the window was shut and there were no interior lights on, but just stand in front and wave to the person inside and they’ll pop the window open for you to order.

I will say that I was immediately skeptical since there’s a sticker showing that their food is friendly to Jay and strictly Buddhist diets, meaning no onion or garlic — ingredients I consider crucial when making my own breaded and fried anything. But they’ve managed to make a well-spice flaky and crunchy batter with a bunch of flavor, so well done to them.

The interior of the tenders is sadly more of a spongy nugget-like interior as opposed to the chunky meatiness I was expecting from seitan. Not bad by any means, just not what I had in mind.

Side note: if you look at the menu and notice that the Box 5 combo is a złoty more expensive than just buying the five tenders and a regular fries and think “oh you must get some extra fries this way,” you’re right. You get a massive box full of fries, we’re talking like three large fries orders from a fast food chain. They were good, and I ate all of them, but I hated myself for the rest of the day. Skip the box combo unless you’re sharing.

I don’t remember exactly since it’s been a while, but I believe it was a sweet sauce, maybe like a mango plum sweet and sour sort of thing? It was good and I ate all of it!

Really good burger. As a tourist who is trying all the different vegan places in the city, this has been the only place that I’ve gone back to more than once

Great vegan fast -food - Edit

The place is located in the heart of the Kazimierz district in Kraków, surrounded by other fast food small gastronomies. I tried a Buddha box and it was tasty. Cheap prices. I will definitely come back.
