Consistent

True Food in Plano offers a consistent experience where you can be sure to find vegan and gluten free options on the menu. I've recommended True Food as a dining option for corporate meals as well as personal events.

Something for both of us

I’m vegan but my husband is not. This place had options for both of us. Loved the Ancient grain bowl with Tempeh!

Pros: Healthy options , Vegan and non vegan options , Casual

Cons: Loud, Difficult to hold a conversation

I love their pizzas

Delicious seasonal pizzas, and vegan dessert options. Cute sit-down that is full of snake plants. Slightly on the fancier side, but has carry-out options too.

Pros: Seasonal vegan menu, Delicious

Cons: Not fully vegan

Freshly Fantastic!

By far one of my all-time favorite restaurants. Farm to table fresh and absolutely delicious. I love their seasonal changes as well as the items that are always on the menu. The menu is clearly marked with V for Vegan and VEG for Vegetarian and GF for Gluten Free. I wish all menus were like this!

What VEGAN options top my list?
Roasted Brussel Sprouts
The Ancient Grains Bowl with Tofu
Tuscan Kale Salad without the parmesan
Roasted Butternut Squash Pizza
Sweet Potato Hash
Sparkling Prickly Pear Tisane
Cookies & Ice Cream ~ out of this world!

Really, you can't go wrong! You can taste that every ingredient has been thought out and prepared to awaken your tastebuds!

Pros: Fresh & delicious ingredients, Several Vegan Options, Excellent service & locations across the U.S.

Cons: Sometimes a favorite menu item is seasonal

Great options, atmosphere

I’ve ordered from True Food plenty of times on Door Dash because of their great vegan options — four or five things to choose from, even cookies! — and it has all been delicious. Last night, I had the teriyaki quinoa bowl (more brown rice than quinoa for those who don’t like either) and it is packed with great veggies (like bok Choi, snap peas, green beans), all roasted to perfection. I add tofu for a more filling dinner. My non veg husband loves their food, too.

Favorite Restaurant in DFW!

My best friend and I come here literally every time I'm home from college. I'm vegan, and True Food Kitchen is one of the few places in the area that serves CREATIVE vegan food (ie not just a typical rice bowl with tofu subbed for another meat, though they do have that too). They use unique ingredients and create awesome flavors that you can't find anywhere else. I've ordered the Butternut Squash Pizza before, and it was delicious though a bit too oily for my liking; I appreciate a good olive oil drizzle but it might have been too much for my dish. This time though, I tried the Cauliflower polenta. It was spiced very well (maybe a hint of turmeric?), had great textural balance with the crisp snap peas and creamy polenta base, and all in all was delicious. It was also a bit oily, but honestly not enough to impact my review of this amazing place.😄My friend got the Winter Immunity Bowl, and they were able to sub sweet potatoes for quinoa since she doesn't like the texture of quinoa. A great experience as usual!

Pros: delicious, Friendly staff, quality ingredients

Cons: expensive

Always a reliable option!

I love True Food Kitchen and the Plano location was no exception. Vegan & vegetarian options are clearly marked. I had the TLT (smoked tempeh, lettuce & tomato) It was wonderful. Nice outdoor seating & good atmosphere inside. Your non-veg friends will love this place too. I had the prickly pear drink and that was delicious as well.

Pros: Vegan & vegetarian options, Lots of interesting beverages, Good service

Phenomenal

I visited this restaurant with my dear friend for an early dinner. Service was amazing, as was ambiance. It felt like a sunny picnic, even though the day was quite dreary. We ordered the watermelon lemonade (which was delicious) and the lavender iced tea (which is absolutely revolutionary). We followed it up with the kale guacamole (vegan) which was great, if needing a bit more flavor in my humble opinion. We then ordered the spinach and mushroom pizza (vegan) which is genuinely some of the best pizza I have ever had. Their almond milk lemon ricotta is marvelous, as was the glaze on the pizza crust in lieu of sauce. It was a bit overpriced as we split the bill down the middle and paid $20 each, even though we split our entree. Wonderful for a special treat.

Pros: Lots of vegan and vegetarian options, Whole healthy foods, Seasonal menu

Cons: Expensive, High calorie

Great Vegan Options!

Has a few vegan options on their menu, and some items can be made vegan just by holding a condiment. Their desserts were mostly vegan too! Everything we ordered was delicious. The TLT sandwich and chia pudding were our favorites!

Pros: Vegan options marked on menu, Great service

Several great vegan options

This restaurant makes truly successful vegan dishes that offer a variety of flavors and ingredients. You can get vegan appetizers, entrees, and desserts that even non-vegans would order and enjoy. The staff is accommodating and very friendly. Nice beer and wine selection.

Pros: Great options for all eaters

Cons: Very popular so there are long waits for a table.
