Offers mix of western style foods like muesli, waffles, and pancakes as well as Vietnamese food like soup and mixed vegetables. Ask for soymilk. Also sells handmade stuff. Open Mon-Sun 9:00am-5:00pm.

Lovely little cafe, cute happy and cheerful - Edit
The vegan options here are fairly good. Limited but good. For breakfast the musli is great (ask for soy milk) and the bread roll with marmalade is also great (ask for no butter). The vegetarian steamed rice is also not too bad (ask for no egg - be persistent about no egg). The cappuccino was AMAZING. And the tree hugger salad was really nice (already vegan). It is a nice place to sit and close to the water. Very friendly staff and overall a very cheerful place to eat.

Lovely Cafe - Edit
We really enjoyed being at the Tree Hugger Cafe. They offer great coffee specialities, good juices and food. We really loved the pumpkin soup that is served with a fresh and warm brioche. It was awesome and incredibly delicious. Staff is friendly and speaks english. Really nice place to drink coffee, eat and relax

Great Staff and decor - Edit
This is a really nice cafe. Staff are friendly and very good service. I had the vegatarian rice, it was not bad. I personally prefer more authentic Vietnamese resturants but there are not alot of options here. An bearing that in mind this place is good. I was also given a plate of fruit after my meal which I thought was a nice touch. Cool place I will visit again.

They have a number of dishes that can easily be veganized as is indicated on the menu. Everything was delicious. The spring rolls were quite unique! It's a very nice little place with many little knick knacks everywhere.

Fantastic. We simply loved this place. - Edit
We drove 50km to try this restaurant and we weren't disappointed.
Read moreSuch a lovely interior full of little handmade crafts to buy from the ethnic minority groups. They also sell products like bamboo and stainless steel straws. We happily purchased some for our onward travels as we are tired of trying to explain no straw at every place we eat. Now we can simply wave this.
We tried the pumpkin and mango soup, the noodles and the banana waffle with fruits. All made vegan and I could not fault any of them. All bursting with flavour. Staff were gentle and attentive and simply lovely.
Even the menu is thoughtfully put together with little stories and facts about aspects of Vietnamese life and culture.
If we could rate this place 5 stars we would. Wish there were more cafes with such a wonderful environmental outlook.
Pros: Beautiful relaxed interior. Take a stroll upstairs
Cons: none

beautiful atmosphere and beautiful food - Edit
i went here twice for breakfast. it is a little hidden gem. the vibe is so calming and relaxing and you can get lost in observing the decorations and little details. the food looks beautiful and is so delicious. try out the müsli with fruits and soy milk or the vegan pancakes. the tea hugger tea is also amazing and so flavour full and you get refill hot water for free. definetly worth a meal and if you have time you will definetly stay for a littlw while or come again.

We went here 3 times while being in Dong Hoi, the staff were super friendly and helpful. I’m vegan but my boyfriends not so was great for both of us, all vegan options are clearly labelled. Also the passion fruit juice is amazing!

Nice and simple food - Edit
Went here somewhat late after a long and delayed train ride from Vinh and got the vegetarian rice dish.
Read moreSimple and delicious, you can ask for it to be made without egg.
They served me some tea when I sat down, and after I finished my meal, they served me a passion fruit as dessert.
The ambiance of the place is really pleasant and I could easily see myself sit here for hours sipping tea, eating pancakes and muesli and fruit salad or drinking some of their juices.
Prices are also very fair.
Pros: Many dishes can be made vegan, Fair prices, English-speaking staff and menu

Nice place, a few vegan options - Edit
I was happy this place existed in Dong Hoi, otherwise I wouldn't have known where to eat. The vegan options, as others already said, are limited. I had rice and sauteed vegetables without egg twice and the breakfast was very good! Muesli with soy milk and some fruit, the coffee also was great (also available with soy milk).
Read moreThey stated on the menu they had stopped using plastic straws for the environment, but we got plastic straws in our drink; I found that weird.
