Continuez votre bon travail :)

Hi Yann,
Read moreThanks for your feedback. We would have loved to have this feedback directly on site to understand what you did like or not in your experience. Every comment is taking under consideration as we want everybody to have a good experience :)
As for an example, yesterday while checking a table a customer was saying that it was lacking a bit of sauce : that issue was quickly sorted.
Regarding the choice that you put in "cons", i'd like to add that everything we put in our plates is home made so it takes time. Our little but various menu (3 starters, 3 to 4 mains and 3 to 4 desserts including a vegan cheese) is a garanty of only fresh, homemade and local -as much as possible- food.

If you're in Lyon, you must go to Toutes les Couleurs - Edit
It was a cold Friday night and we had been sightseeing and walking all over Lyon. I was exhausted and had a headache. My companion urged me to continue on, and trudge up the hill to Toutes les Couleurs. It turned out to be one of the best meals in our trip to France. The fresh, organic dishes and the warm vibe reinvigorated me. The combination of grains and vegetables was amazing. Our friendly hostess Pascale guided us through the menu, and everything was amazing (I need to remember to write down exactly everything we had, now that I'm trying to write some reviews for Happy Cow). I think it was the pumpkin risotto with crispy split peas. Contrary to other reviewers here, I did not find the portions "small," nor was it overly expensive. It's fresh and local. Cool place. I'd advise making reservations. We didn't, but were lucky and got there shortly after opening in the evening. Highly recommended. Thanks, Pascale! I told you I'd write a review! Google review next!

Best vegan food we had in Lyon. - Edit
This is a great restaurant in Les Pentes, just a few minutes away from the business of the Place des Terreaux. The owner who served us was delightful, informative and very gracious. The chorba soup was fresh, homemade, with delicate spices but fully palatable for my spice-averse partner. The tapas main course was lovely and a great way to discover several new dishes. The black rice was particularly tasty. Some of the best vegan desserts we have had, including a pear tart. The wine, which her husband selects, was a delight. Wonderful food, ambiance, and French-paced service.

Ok; but too expensive for what you get - Edit
We visited for lunch, and had an appetizer+main set, and a main+dessert set.
Read moreAs appetizer we had a kind of tartar of beetroot, and as mains we had (1) the plate of the day which was a pumpkin goulash with adzuki beans and buckwheat; and (2) a spring plate which was a risotto with asparagus and lentils. As dessert we had the tiramisu.
The food was just ok, both taste-wise, and portion-wise. The plate of the day (10€) was very simple, and the spring plate was too expensive (17€) for what it is (even considering everything is organic). The tiramisu was quite good, though.
On top of that, the food took quite some time to be served, even though we were one of the first ones to arrive.
The place had its own vibe with plenty of space, and the waiting staff was nice. However, I did not find prices to correspond to what you get.
Pros: everything is organic, friendly staff
Cons: overpriced, food a bit bland

Nice concept and people but small portions - Edit
Such a strange place in terms of decor, but they have a nice concept of a rotation of daily plates which you can combine with deserts etc. We had the veggie plate to start and tried the millet and the house plate for a main. The desert was a bit disappointing (had better vegan cheese and cake before) but the service was friendly and the location nice.
Read moreI would say for the portion size it’s a bit pricey - we were still a bit hungry when we left - but for the location and the city it wasn’t so bad

Wonderful food & people at a great price - Edit
We arrived here on the wrong side of their lunch opening (1.30pm) but that made no difference to our experience: all of the staff were super welcoming and accommodating to our very rough French. They even rolled out some wooden toys and colouring for our 3year old. We jumped in at a main course only for time, but the full course menus looked wonderful. The freshness of the food was just what we’d hoped for and the presentation was beyond our expectation. I’d recommend for a lunch or even a special occasion dinner, as the decor and layout is super relaxing. The desserts were fantastic - the cheese was nothing like I’d had before but I would eat every week if we were in Lyon!! Fully recommend.

Meh - Edit
If you like raw food then this may be your cup of tea, but I didn't find it appetizing at all unfortunately. I'm sorry to say it as there aren't many many vegan places in Lyon, but it's definitely over priced for what it is.

Safe vegetarian haven in Lyon! - Edit
Imaginative, exciting veggie food. You get to choose from a variety of menus. Lovely atmosphere, you can see the chef which is cool! I had the watermelon gazpacho, millet risotto and tried the seitan. A really nice place for vegetarians/vegans to escape to in meat-obsessed Lyon!

delicious home made vegan food - Edit
My boyfriend and I had a delicious lunch. We had a gazpacho of zucchini-mint and vegetal ricotta for entrée and a salad d'été. Le plat du jour was really good! Lot of flavors and the portion is perfect. I do really recommend this restaurant for all vegan, vegetarian people and for the ones who want to eat healthy. It's home made, that's the best point. The service is very good.

- 2 desserts : tarte tatin excellente.
Il vaut mieux réserver!

Touted les Couleurs - Edit
My other half and I had the 3 course menu and shared a pichet of wine. Our meal came to €65.00.
Read moreMy starter was smoked lentil pate and my other half had raw crudités.
My main was the warm salad and my other half had the raw salad.
For dessert I had a baked apple type thing and my other half had raw cheeze.
The food was delicious. Presented with much detail and love. Each carrot slice was cut into a daisy shape. They serve a variety of different leafy greens. Food takes a while so don't be in a rush. My only criticism is I would have liked more food.
Pros: Organic , Tasty, All vegan
Cons: Service is slow, Portions could be more generous , Wise to make a reservation

Organic, fresh and choices for vegan - Edit
Toutes les couleurs is one of the few places in Lyon where you can eat vegan really easily. The food is organic and fresh, well presented and original. About 3/4 of the menu is vegan. The place is really cute and the staff is friendly. Prices are maybe a little bit too high but they are not unreasonable considering products quality. Had a three course meal for 25 euros.

Sustainable, seasonal, organic...but just alright - Edit
I booked a table for one (boo hoo) and headed along one lunchtime (10/8/13) to check this place out. It looks great with its stone walls and soft lighting and it's a decent size and located in the fashionable Croix Rousse. I ordered three courses and started with a cabbage 'caviar' (of which I'll try to upload a picture) which came presented as a round moulded substance accompanied by bread. Unfortunately it was just a bit watery and not flavoursome enough for my liking. Next was a civet. Not the animal - although traditionally the gastronomic civet was animal flesh cooked in animal blood - but vegetables cooked in red wine. This was a bit ordinary for me and depended in the flavour of the wine, which I didn't really like, and was otherwise just plain veges. For dessert I had a vanilla verrine, a layered dessert served in a glass, with a granola. This was pretty nice and not overly sweet. I had also ordered coffee (with rice milk) - which was fair trade (yay!) - but unfortunately it was lukewarm. The staff here were lovely but the food for me was only average and the price was a bit higher than I'd have wanted.
