Really enjoyed this quick Sunday bite. Bar food usually sucks especially vegan food but not here.

I’ve only been at happy hour/dinner time so the bar was generally pretty empty. The food is definitely tasty. The wings are some of the best I’ve had in Rochester and the fries are really good. The vegan options are a little expensive, but drinks are reasonable especially if you go at happy hour or order their daily discounts. I’d definitely go again. There’s a pool table and a few dart boards and multiple rooms with extra seating.

Overpriced and disappointing - Edit
I went for the launch party of the vegan menu, and arrived an hour after the official start. The vibe at the bar was weird, half the menu was already sold out, and it took forever to get anything. I chalked this up to it being the first night, but once we DID get the food - it was cold, and unimpressive. I've heard people raving about the wings but they were sold out, so we had the lasagne and chili. The lasagne portion was very small and was essentially pasta in a cream sauce. The chili was a large portion but somewhat bland.
Read moreAs much as I'm excited that more places are offering vegan options, I feel like the community gives a bit too much credit to places for putting in the bare minimum. I will probably go back to try the wings but the other things on the menu are certainly not worth $12.

Don't Miss the Fantastic New Vegan Fare at the Toasted Bear Tavern - Edit
I had the pleasure of being at the Toasted Bear Tavern last night when they launched their new vegan menu- provided by Kitchen Verde, a vegan meal delivery service that serves Rochester, NY.
Read moreThe menu had multiple vegan options including Vegan Chikn' Wings, Buffalo Mac and Cheeze, Eggplant Meatball Sandwich, Chili and Cornbread and Lasagna.
All of the food was delicious--I had the wings (which were spicy and had a perfect taste and slightly crispy texture. I loved them as well as the Buffalo Mac and Cheeze. Some friends ordered the Eggplant Meatball sandwiches and I stole a taste of those, as well. Everything we had was fantastic.
Many of the people were describing the food as "ridiculously good!" Toasted Bear sold out pretty early in the evening. I look forward to having more of this food in the future.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming and excited to have this special menu for vegan customers. If you are looking to have drinks with friends and delicious vegan food in a fun and casual atmosphere, this it the place for you! I highly recommend you check it out.
