Nice food but too expensive

Really nice food and good choice of different tasty bits, but in comparison to most of the places i've been to - expensive.

Very tasty desserts - especially chocolate brownie with vanilla sauce :)

Pros: choice of food, chocolate brownie

Cons: expensive

Buffet with lots of choice

I fell in love with Tibits in Switzerland, and this London restaurant isn't any different from the ones I love.
The food is well made, and one can be sure that whatever one puts on the plate will be tasty. The prices go up as the day progresses, so it is smart to eat early during the day, also takeaway is cheaper than to eat in.
I took about a tablespoon or more of all the savoury dishes I liked, and it came up to about 7 pounds, which I think is a fair deal.
Very central, quiet, many sitting places, good food. Would eat there any time.

Really good buffet

The selection of food was great and many healthy options available. Maybe because of veganuary, bit I only saw vegan options on the buffet.

Reliable chain upping its vegan game

A pleasant retreat from the bustle of Regent Street, comfortable for solo dining. Agree with other reviewers that the cost can seem high but the quality is good and you get an instant personal selection platter (aka buffet!) for your money. Seasonal ingredients are used to a fair degree and options change regularly. Allergens are clearly marked for each dish. Creative mix of hot and cold cuisine from Europe and Asia. Tofu with kala namak makes for amazing (and freakish) vegan 'egg mayo'. Don't mistakenly pass by the nut sprinkles as a dessert-only option. Good juices. Buffet format makes for minimal interaction with staff.

Tasty but the cost soars like pick n mix

Most of the various dishes to choose from were vegan and tasted really good - particularly the kale falafel, the soya cottage pie and several other hot dishes. However, upon entering, we were told that the average cost is £12-14. This in reality is not a lot of food and is definitely not a buffet, despite what it may look like. Be mindful of the cost and the weight of the food (you go to weigh the food and pay based off that weight) after choosing what you want. The surprised/shocked look and the end total revealed that I had got carried away. Admittedly, it was a large plate of food.

Pros: Lots of cold and warm vegan options, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Costs can spiral, Possibly more of a lunch spot.

Great variety of yummy vegan food

Yes, it is true, Tibits is pricey, afterall, it originates from Switzerland :). However, Switzerland is also famous about its quality. And the food is great here. I try to go on Tuesdays, when I don't have to check labels because everything is vegan on the food boat. I love their tempeh dishes and some of the desserts. If they have the warm chocolate dessert, make sure to get some!

Great find in London

We went to Tibits before visiting Tate Modern, which is only a short walk away. The vegan options for the extensive buffet were extensive. For me with most buffets, trying a little of lots of things dilutes the flavors as they can melt together into one giant dish. That was not the case here. The dishes were distinctive, flavorful and often unique. One favorite was a carrot and horseradish pate. The blend sounded as if the horseradish would dominate, but it was very well done and the flavors were distinctive and memorable. We would return there, or their other locations in a minute. Buying their cookbook is on our wishlist, and making use of the recipes on their website will definitely be happening.

Pros: great flavors and selections, very accomodating to vegans, nice setting

Cons: Too many options on the buffet

Mediocre food, pricey

The food selection was wide but no one dish stood out. Every dish had something missing. Lots of better options nearby.

Pros: Lots of options

Cons: Overpriced, Lacklustre food

Just off Regent Street

Been here multiple times as the restaurant offers a good selection of fresh, healthy foods, drinks and some baked goods. Central location, tucked away in a small courtyard just off Regents street. Plenty of seating, incl. outside space. Self service.

Vegan Options, Slightly Pricey

This place is good in some ways because depending on what you get, you can get a lot of food for the price. However, if you end up not enjoying what you picked, you’ll have to go back up, pick and pay again. A lot of their dishes are good, some are slightly oily, and they have at least one vegan dessert every time. If you end up getting a “heavier” dish though, then it can get quite expensive. My advice is try a portion of everything and it comes out to about 10-11 GBP. This is a good place to meet friends and have lunch. We stuck around and had a really nice conversation after we finished lunch, and then kept ordering juices and drinks. It’s not a must try, it’s good for groups since there really is something for everyone, but it can get quite loud and very busy during peak times. Go a little early for lunch and you’ll be sitting happily with your meal before the lunch crowd rolls in to eat. Overall not bad, I’d come back again with friends.

Pros: Many vegan options, Variety, Pay by weight

Cons: Can be pricey, Crowded buffet during peak times

we loved it

We really liked the atmosphere and the food here. You pay for weight, and honestly it's not the cheapest restaurant (but it's London so...) But it's really worth the money as you have many different dishes and all are amazing (yes, we tried everything :D).

Pros: buffet, different dishes

Cons: expensive

not bad

It’s good to have this place for meeting up with people in the area, but unfortunately most of the food is extremely bland. The desserts can be good though, and the fresh juice blends are lovely.

Sooo good!

Tibits is one of my favourite vegan places to go to with friends in London. It's really central, has something for everyone and is quite big so it's usually not too hard to get a table. It can be pricey so it's not a place to go to everyday, but the food is so delicious it's worth it! Plus there is a VEGAN DESSERT BUFFET! Incredible.

Pros: Vegan desserts galore, Delicious food, Perfect for everyone

Cons: Can be expensive

Great food in a great location

Have been here a few times and it has been consistently very good. Always a very good vegan selection. As with all of these type of restaurants, it can get expensive so be careful with how much you take. It can be difficult as everything seems to appetising!

Pros: great selection, great decor

Cons: can get pricey

Huge vegan selection but expensive

This place is lovely. Have been several times. The food is very good (although not amazing...) and there is a really impressive choice for vegans - more of the dishes are vegan than not. The only downside is the price. A large full plate is £14.90. If it’s about half full it’s £9.90. So it can get expensive if you have pudding too.

Pros: Nice atmosphere , Wide selection

Cons: Price

Pay what you weigh

Great buffet, choose your own adventure style. Wide variety of food choices with ingredients and allergy potential labelled. Circle and peruse the choices before committing cuz there are some tasty options. Plate will fill up fast and you pay by the weight. Which is expensive if you are hungry.

Pros: options, options, options.

Cons: expensive if hungry

Place to go if you want buffet style of Vegan food

As a newly turned vegan in London, I find this Tibits is a good place to just fulfil my food craving in general. The food are generally good, you can pretty much get most of the most common vegan food but nothing is really special in particular. I will give a credit for the cakes available though, I had been struggling to find good vegan cakes in London.

Pros: Great variety of vegan food, Nice cakes , Food taste good in general

Cons: pricey

Overpriced buffet

It is possible you pay for the location, but still not worth it. Food was simple buffet style (bean curry, rice noodles, kimchi), a level plate totalled £16. Def don't add chips and plain rice to your plate 😂

If you must go there, try cake instead.

Pros: Cake

Cons: Overpriced

Variety vs Price

Slightly buzzard queueing system, where you wait with your plate to pay, but it's also a bar, so you're waiting for staff to make drinks for everyone as well. Which takes ages. Would be fine if area was big enough, but waited at lunchtime I stood there looking at my food for 15 minutes!

The vegan options were decent, though would like to see more. I love a bit of pick your own bits, so for me the food itself was enjoyable.
However the price. It's a buffet, no service at tables, so I have no idea why they attach the price tag they do. Yes it's London, but most veggy options are cheaper elsewhere. You're ladling slop on your own plate. Hardly Gourmet.

Overall I'd say it's worth visiting, especially if you like to try a bit of everything. I would come back more if it wasn't for the price.
