The go-to buffet place - Edit
Tibits in Bern offers a wide range of delicious dishes on two floors. Some are permanently on the menu, while others are changed from time to time. There are also sandwiches and other to-go dishes in the display cases at the cashiers. All dishes are clearly labelled and an estimated 90% are vegan. In good weather, there are various seats outside on the terrace and on the balcony.

Much garlic - Edit
Sadly, very much garlic but at least it's clearly labeled. Conveniently located inside of train station (main entrance). Not the super large choice of food as in so e other Tibits but a very nice choice. In the late evening, most of the food is removed. Relatively large space, also dozens of seats outside.

So much variety - Edit
If you had to choose one spot, this is the place. Proper food and many varieties with protein (meatballs, tempeh, tofu). Really enjoyed the desserts as well. About 90% of the items are vegan.

Sehr gut, wie immer! - Edit
Fast alles war vegan, gut gekennzeichnet. Gute Auswahl an frischen Speisen die immer wieder aufgefüllt werden.
Read moreAlle Desserts waren ausschliesslich vegan.
Pros: Klare Kennzeichnung, Fast ausschliesslich vegan, Vegane Desserts
Cons: Hohe Preise

Always a good option - Edit
I mostly get my food to go but sometimes I do dine in.

This location has two floors now which have different opening hours but this has helped to have more seats. As the original configuration was pretty cramped.

Cons: Not 100% vegan

Great place! - Edit
Tibits is a Swiss chain of vegetarian buffet restaurants. The food is paid by weight. Most options are vegan. Non-vegan options are marked. Tibits next to the main station in Bern is in a very nice location. They have a buffet downstairs and another one upstairs. Upstairs is a relaxing outdoor terrace. I always try to visit a Tibits when I am in Switzerland, the food is always good, some dishes even excellent.

Great for a meal if you are arriving or leaving Bern - Edit
Usually a great choice.

Despite being in the train station, it is rather cozy.

Tibits - Edit
It's good to have a restaurant with so many vegan options right next to the train station. As in every Tibits the food is mostly good. Some dishes are really delicous, others are just mediocre. Your plate is probably full with a lot different items, so it doesn't matter if one or two turn out to be a bit bland, as others will make up for it.

My absolute favourite in Switzerland - Edit
This chain of restaurants is the, best option for me. Since I live in Switzerland and even when I was coming as a tourist I'm going there some times a week and I always find different things or combinations so I never get bored, you can add different sauces or nuts to your plate as well. The place is vegetarian but most things are vegan and are clearly labeled, even in english at the back of the sign. They also have amazing desserts and you can take as much as you want so you're not forced to eat a whole piece, you can mix small pieces of two or more. Drinks are also amazing! from cocktails to hot chocolate.

Excellent - minus 1 point for being super expensive - Edit
Tibits was delicious. There wasn’t a thing that I tried that I didn’t like. However, it was $75 Swedish Francs (about $80 US dollars) for the 2 of us - each had a full (but not piled high) plate and a small desert plate and tap water. If I weren’t on vacation, I wouldn’t choose to eat there hardly ever due to the price.

Large buffet - Edit
A very large self-service buffet full of delicious plates. I love the fact that you can freely serve whatever you like. It's also a great place to eat with non-vegetarian friends as well, as they offer cool alternatives of traditional meals like Zürcher Geschnetzeltes or Älpler Macrone.

Fantastic food - Edit
I got off the train and was looking for coffee when I spotted Tibits and I knew they served vegetarian food only. The servers were soooo sweet and helpful. I knew I would come back for lunch. The spread was just as great as that at Hiltil. Hiltil has some Indian food options which was one of the differences between the two. But I think the food here is much better. Personally I’d be okay with either but I prefer Tibits over Hiltil now. The ambience was great and the location was perfect - right outside the station. Again, Tibits has several locations!

Excellent selection - Edit
The food offerings at this buffet were largely vegan, and I can't remember the last time I had this much choice. I tried small portions of a great many dishes, and they were all good. The only real downside is that is expensive to fill your stomach here.

Tasty selection of vegan food - Edit
Not all options are vegan, but there's very clear labelling (including of common allergens). Buffet style so you get a variety of things, everything I tried was great. Not cheap but it's Switzerland so relatively not too bad either

vegan friendly buffet - Edit
Very popular and crowded chain with their standard pay by weight principle. If you don't have an enormous apetite, prices are okay for local standards. Many vegan options, clearly indicated. Other ingredients/allergies are clearly indicated. Large outdoor seating area, located in the central station building.

- the dishes are mainly the same as in the other tibits branchea

Excellent way to sample Swiss dishes - Edit
I really liked this place, is buffet style self serve set up. Today they had faux sausage stew, good salads, some fancy vegan cheese, potato dishes, cabbage salad, dried bean salad, and more. There is also a dessert section, including Bircher muesli. Everything is clearly labelled (including in English) for a variety of allergens. My plate cost 19.50. Have wifi too if you ask at the counter for log on info.

Taste everything - Edit
Really good! A very busy place, so it was not easy to find a seat, but it was worth it. It's self-service from a buffet, and I tried lots of different things - sausage slices, two kinds of balls, different dips and sauces, vegetables etc, and a hot chocolate. The majority of buffet items was vegan. If you come with an empty stomach and really want to get full, it will be expensive, but for a tasting experience, it is great.

awesome variety of food - Edit
very busy restaurant. there is a wide choice of dishes for all food requirements. I loved all the vegan options got carried away which came at a cost but it was worth it for me ? the only problem was (and this was our fault) my dad is GF and there was a language barrier with one of the chefs who said the "G" meant GF but it actually means it contains gluten ? so poor papa bear wasn't feeling too good after a mountain plate of gluten!
