Cool place

I've been there during lunch time and there was a pay-per-kilo buffet with salads, hot dishes and desserts with vegan labels - but could see that there were also some options from the counter.
Unfortunately, it was very expensive. About the taste of the food, it was really different for me, but worth the visit.

Pros: Cool ambiance, Labels vegan

Cons: Expensive, Difficult to park, Beverages and desserts apart

*** Just Amazing ***

We frequently visit this restaurant and have never been disappointed. As all Tibits restaurants, this is just a very great place to spend time while ejoying yummy food. Besides the great food, they also offer very tasty local beer.

Pros: Great vegan choices, Very fresh food, Cosy atmosphere

Great food!

We were traveling in Basel earlier in July and looking for somewhere with a vegan option for lunch. We found Tibits and decided to try it out. The food is buffet style and all very well marked as being vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, etc. The food was very fresh and tasted awesome! You pay by weight, so load up a plate and then get it weighed at the counter. We loved it so much that we sought out another of their pop-up restaurants when we went to Zurich at the end of our trip!

way too expensive!

This place offers you a wide range of vegan dishes (there was seitan (wheat gluten), samosas, indian curry and so on when I was there). It was really good but very very expensive when you think that's a self-service restaurant!
I still have the receipt, just to give you an idea:
0,420 kg x 42.OO CHF/kg = 17,60 CHF (around 14 euros...) and I was still hungry...!

Remember where you are. 17 francs is NOT expensive for a meal in Switzerland. In fact, that's about the cheapest you can hope to pay, unless you get a falafel from a kebab stand.

Great Veg/Vegan Buffet

Central location in the heart of Basel's historic district and shopping quarters.

Pros: Many Vegan Options, Cute decor, Vegan Sorbets

Cons: Pay by weight, No chips for the awesome Guacamole

Great food!!

Awesome food with a nice ambiance!

Plenty of dishes to choose from - all are completely vegetarian and most are vegan. Also caters to other dietary restrictions such as gluten free.

Buffet style, but very high quality! All dishes clearly labelled as vegan/vegetarian with ingredients. It's easy to get too much food here! Yum!

Such great food

This is a low-key, casual but classy restaurant with buffet-style dining. It caters to both vegetarians and vegans and the foods are appropriately marked as either vegetarian or vegan. The buffet offers a big variety of appetizers, salads, soups and main courses as well as something for the sweet tooth. The variety is big and the food is very fresh. The meals are paid by weight, so a fully piles plate will cost you a bit, but there is no way you can not pile up your plate with so many great choices! I would definitely recommend this restaurant also to someone who is not vegan/vegetarian as you get the chance to try out different foods that you might not try otherwise or would not want to order a whole meal.

Pros: big variety, buffet-style, good for trying out , good location

Cons: can be busy, if really hungry, can become expensive

good food

Really glad we found this place. So many vegetarian options. It got really busy around noon but there was additional seating upstairs. It was on the pricier side as well. My boyfriend and I spent almost $50 here but the food was good.

Pros: a lot of options,

Cons: expensive

Great choice, fantastic taste and nice atmosphere

There are all kinds of salads and some warm dishes as well. The dessert section is also very tempting. It doesn't matter if you are vegan, lactose intolerant, avoiding eggs, gluten intolerant ...everything is signed well.
There are some interesting tastes among the salads, I am sure some of you haven't tasted before.
I can recommend the soy desserts with chocolate taste or with cinnamon.
The only negative I can report is that it is quite expensive (as always in Switzerland) especially if you are very hungry and load up you plate (4,20 Sfr per 100g).

Pros: Taste, Choice / varieties, Nice seating accomadation

Cons: Relatively expensive

delicious healthy food, a bit pricey and everyday is about the same

Huge vegetarian buffet self-service restaurant, I tried almost everything and I must admit that every item was delicious. They also have a big varieties of juices. Negative side is that I found it a bit expensive for a vegetarian buffet self-service restaurant. I visited it a second time and the dishes at the buffet where about the same, not much variation.

Pros: delicious, healthy, many different dishes

Cons: almost the same dishes every day, a bit expensive, self service buffet

Boring

The only redeeming feature of this restaurant is that it is vegetarian in a town that does not support vegetarians. Apart from that it is difficult to find somewhere to sit and it is not very comfortable. The food is quite interesting the first time but nothing so special so it gets really boring and it is Switzerland so don't look at the price!!!!!

Pros: vegetarian

Cons: expensive, boring

Excellent

There's a big buffet consisting of mostly vegan and a few ovo-lacto options. All items are clearly marked for being vegan or containing dairy/ovo contents or allergens. Pretty much everything is organic. The staff is friendly, the drink options are very good.
I ended up eating there three times over the weekend I spent in Basel because I liked the food so much. The food seems expensive, but Basel is a very expensive place anyway. Compared to the general pricing in the city, Tibits is not expensive at all, especially regarding the quality of the food. Very highly recommended.

Pros: Excellent food, Mostly vegan options, Friendly staff

Recomended

Good quality and quantity for the price, taking into consideration that Basel is an expensive city. You could have a big meal for around 20 swiss francs. Salad, guacamole, hummus, quinoa, wild rice, pasta, indian lentils, thai vegetables, desserts, wheat bread and rice bread.

Pros: Vegan option, Wifi, Nice decoration

Cons: not cheap

Expensive

Very similar to Hilti in concept and execution, but more expensive. Also, the choices were fewer, though the quality and flavors were as good. Also, unlike Hilti where we asked and got tap water without being charged, here we were charged 3SF! But still, worth a visit with excellent location.

Pros: Choices, Quality

Cons: Expensive
