Excellent Cambridge addition now reopened

This was more than a handy pit stop during a long weekend in Cambridge. Mains are generous, well seasoned, varied and thoughtful. Some great puddings options including home made Jaffa cakes!

Pros: Carefully constructed options , Lovely outdoor seating , Super friendly and engaging staff

Excellent for vegan lunching in Cambridge

This little cafe is superb! I visited with my omni boyfriend during Eat Out to Help Out and he had the pulled veggie (his first time trying jackfruit and he LOVED it, couldn’t believe it wasn’t pork!). I had the Mediterranean terrine and it was excellent! We sat outside in the sunshine, but there is plenty of seating inside (upstairs). The iced coffee is a must have!

Pros: Fully vegan, Frequently updates menu, Indoor and outdoor seating

I give thrive a five!

The only down side was having to pick up my socks after they were blown off! Great selection, great quality, good price. Have been here for tea & cake & also for dining & impressed every time. Lovely staff & loved the vintage zero waste shop within the restaurant!

Pros: Entirely vegan, lots of choice , Great for tea & cake or a sit down dinner , Vintage shop & zero waste shop inside

Cons: None

Great food, great service.

I brought my non vegan partner and his family to Thrive for lunch last week and we were all impressed with the food. The choices were more than your typical options you often see in cafés and restaurants for vegans. I felt spoilt for choice which is refreshing. The place has a great vibe, some quieter spaces to dine if you prefer. The staff are really friendly, the service was good. Also they have spacious and clean toilets (thats important to me when eating out!).
We all really loved it, can't wait for another reason to go to Cambridge to eat there again😄

Pros: Good food options, Friendly staff, Great vibe

Awesome place for vegan food in Cambridge! Cannot wait to go back!

I’ve watched with excitement as Thrive came in to being via the marvel that is social media, and today myself and a friend went to Thrive after a Lido swim. We were not disappointed!

They have every measure in place to be Covid safe, even its feature of a garden terrace outdoor eating area and a little serving hatch added to the feeling of safety. And indoors is spacious and airy with lovely artwork on the walls.

The menu has so many choices it was hard to decide what to go for - but in the end (considering we’d just had a decent swim) we went for two dishes! We both had the amazing Provençal battered mushrooms with rosemary potatoes, then my friend chose the mezze plate and I HAD to opt for the VEGAN SCOTCH EGGS!! And we both had a nice cold kombucha for drinks.

Oh my word the food was phenomenal - the potatoes are definitely something to try to recreate at home, and the mushrooms were just fantastic, super crunchy batter with juicy oyster mushrooms encased within. And as for the vegan scotch eggs..... next time can I take some home in a doggy bag?! They were immense!! I loved them so much that I had to cut my last one into quarters to make it last longer!!

It’s so awesome to know that just a short walk from a usually bustling Grafton area of Cambridge is an absolutely amazingly delicious PLANT BASED bistro, packed with plenty of tasty vegan food to pick from.

Thank you Thrive for a delicious lunch - we will absolutely be back!!

Pros: Amazing food, Lovely staff, Awesome vibe

AMAZING CAKE! 😍

My daughter and I visited yesterday and had cake and coffee in the seating area outside. By far the best cake both of us have ever tasted!
So much so we took 3 more pieces home with us along with some jaffa cakes (which were also incredible)! Very friendly atmosphere and great customer service! Cannot wait to return and try some of the savoury dishes- as these looked and smelt incredible! Will definitely be frequenting here!

Perfect new Eatery!

I was absolutely blown away by how great my experience was today. The staff are all really genuinely friendly & eager to help, & the food was absolutely wonderful. I couldn't fault it in any way, & I am somewhat a food snob! The fact that Cambridge now has a really great Plant Based Cafe FINALLY is brilliant in itself, but the fact that this one serves such great, affordable food (which arrived amazingly quickly) is just fantastic. Really excited to see this community spirited cafe & venue blossom once the pandemic subsides.

Pros: Amazing plant based food, Lovely staff, FINALLY!

Some of the best food I've tasted

This is some of the best food I've tasted! I've been a few times now and continue to be impressed by their quick service, friendly staff and amaaazing food. So far, I can recommend the aubergine, caramised onion and courgette quiche with Sicilian & green bean salad, the tofish with handmade chips. Not to mention, the heavenly desserts - Jaffa cakes, cheesecake, CROISSANTS!! I cannot recommend this place enough.

Fab new plant based cafe

This is what Cambridge has been missing, a great eatery where you don't have to worry about whats on the menu as it's all vegan friendly! We only picked up a few cakey bits and some afternoon coffees, but can't wait to be back to try more.

Pros: Lovely staff, community support, central location

Going to Thrive

This new cafe is definitely going to “thrive” in Cambridge, a town starved for more vegan options. On the same corner as the only zero-waste food shop and across the street from a vegan burger place and a high-traffic shopping area, it’s well placed to attract the right crowd! I was one of those people who inevitably had a quick look and then immediately walked away with an impulse buy. I got a slice of the harvest cake with loads of berries. It hit the spot and I can’t wait to go back to try the other things they have on offer, as well as the things they will undoubtedly add to their menu in the future.

Pros: Inexpensive, Considerate of social distancing measures, Great location and venue
