Authentic French beauties - Edit
This small bakery is a great addition to Glasgow coffee scene by introducing authentic, delicious French pastries, with the added bonus of being 100% vegan. There is so much to choose from as everything is delicious. I particularly like their madeleines - they are to die for.

Delicous - Edit
Delicious pastries, really good quality that is rare to find vegan/outside of France. I personally don't think the specials are always worth the price, particularly when their standard croissants are so good but I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've ever had from them. Really good coffee too.

GO HERE - Edit
Omg you must go here! Stunning French pastries, lovely staff, tasty coffee (I had a very nice oat flat white). We tried the almond croissant, the custard Danish, and the hazelnut pain au chocolat, and all were just stunning. So flaky, rich and perfectly baked, I am shook that this place is 100% vegan. Please go!

Amazing coffee and pastries! - Edit
The croissants are so amazingly good! Various other pastries too. And on my latest visit I tried their coffee for the first time: the best I have tasted in a long time! Just a shame I'm not always in town on the days when it's open.

Tasty artisan treats - Edit
This bakery great selection of sandwiches, cookies, breads and other baked goods. The selection looks stunning with the taste matching the experience. It’s difficult to fault The Dorky French. The prices are very similar to other artisan bakeries across Scotland and the UK. Expect to spend more than you would at your local bakery, but also to have your tastebuds dancing and to leave wanting to come back for more.

Beautiful vegan pastries - Edit
The food is really good, you know a place is good when there's a queue out the door! Delicate french patisserie made vegan, the croissants (sweet and savoury) are just as croissants should be, the cookies are also really good. The coffee is a little expensive but to accompany handmade artisanal pastry I guess I can't complain too much.

Brilliant - Edit
Everything is great, including the coffee. Not much space to sit in so is primarily a takeaway place. It is fairly pricey.

Boulangerie végane 🇫🇷 - Edit
Very friendly staff and quick answer on Instagram.
Read moreI got a croissant 🥐 as well as some orange/chocolate 🍊🍫 viennoiserie for my brother.
I was blown away, because everything looked so good ! 😍
My brother said it taste delicious and did not believe it was all vegan ! 🌱
Unfortunately, I couldn’t have anything because of my soy and almond allergies but they said they could bake without those allergens if I ordered in advance.
You have to try it !!!

Small bakery, only a couple seats inside so probably will only take away in future. Lovely pastries, but personally wasn’t a fan of the coffee!

Amazing - Edit
Honestly cannot rate this high enough. The croissant? Authentic and delicious! The almond croissant? Delightful, indistinguishable from the dairyful version. The pain au chocolat? Dreamy! Honestly give this a solid 10/10

Best vegan croissants and pains au chocolat I've tasted! - Edit
As a French person, I can definitely say that the products at The Dorky French are absolutely the real deal and very very good ( which makes sense seeing as the owner is French)! They're even better than the ones I've had in a Parisian vegan bakery.
Read moreThey open early so I plan to make it my once a week treat before work, I've missed these!
The products are a bit pricey, but on par with equivalent non-vegan products in other places.
I haven't tried the coffee.
EDIT: my comment on price is about how expensive they are to me relative to how much I earn, and not a comment on quality for the price: they are absolutely worth their price (see comments from the owner below).
Also I've tried the coffee now and it's really nice.

Pros: Early opening hours, Excellent viennoiseries
Cons: a bit pricey, but = to non-vegan equivalents

Mercii Abigaïl for your kind words and 5 star review, I didn’t realise you were French ! Always amazing to hear that our pastries are even better than the ones in Paris; as for prices we really tried to make it as fair as possible regarding the cost, time and labour that goes into them, but we are looking into reimplementing bundle prices soon! Merci encore

Re prices I’ll also add that our pastries are chunkier than the average croissant on the market, and cheaper croissants also contain low percentage of butter to save costs on production, but we don’t :)

Yes, I am! That's why I've been excessively enthusiastic about you opening, I've been here 7 years and vegan for 4, so I've missed good french pastries!
Read moreI'm sorry, I didn't mean to say in my comment that they were unfairly priced, but more meaning on a scale of how much things cost compared to how much I earn. I do think that they are worth their price.

Cute little bakery with a small selection of delicious pastries - all vegan - and coffee. We tried the croissant, apple turnover and pain au chocolat and we were impressed! Very friendly staff too. We will definitely come back when visiting Glasgow.

Pros: Friendly staff, Very very delicious
Cons: You can't really sit inside - only a small bench
marlenemamia
Merci beaucoup Marie, really happy you love the pastries that you’ve tried so far! We are technically and legally a takeaway bakery, the window benches and stools are a small add-on for the customer area but indeed there’s not much space to sit inside 😊
