Scrumptious - Edit
Late decision to go to one of The WildCats evening opening for dining.
Read moreSo so happy we did,. The food was incredible and very large helpings. Different food from their daytime cafe and the candles and fairy lights added to a lovely setting.
All the choices on the menu sounded fab and we were more than delighted at our choice.
Having been fortunate enough to have been to many Vegan cafes and restaurants in Europe, The WilCat surpassed most and equalled the best.
Thank you all for a lovely evening, thank your chef for all their hard work and we will definitely come back if you have more evening openings.👍😊

Love the zero waste concept. Lovely made coffee (latte) and hot chocolate was the best I’ve ever had. Hummus toast was very filling and had a banana bread. This establishment really sticks to their values - we noticed when a customer brought a carton of dairy milk in store, the staff advised them to put it away.

Estamos de vacaciones por Escocia (somos de Canarias) y a veces es un poco difícil encontrar opciones vegetarianas/veganas, pero gracias a Happy Cow es bastante más sencillo.

Superb vegan cafe! - Edit
We visited here for lunch as a family of four and were so happy that we did! We had the lentil shepherds pie and is was absolutely delicious. We all shared cakes afterwards which were very tasty indeed. The service was very fast, just a few minutes wait for our food, despite the place being absolutely packed (we had to wait a couple of minutes for a table to be free.) I really love that they sell a whole range of ethical vegan goods from food to toiletries too, and offer a service whereby you can bring in your own tin to fill up on pasta, rice, pulses, spices etc. We all left feeling that this was a cafe that was not only vegan, but genuinely cares for the environment as well. We’ll definitely be back!

Slow service. I Had to ask for what I ordered. I couldn't sit by a table. Food was very good even though rice was boiled without salt and for too much time ..good for grandpas not for who still have his teeth.

Pros: very good food

Really delicous! - Edit
A wonderful array of flavours available, more than just the standard houmous and falafel that's so common in vegan food. Delicous baked goods, yummy wraps and sandwiches and specials on the board. Definitely recommend and one of the only all vegan establishments in this part of Scotland!

Hi James, thanks again for coming in and supporting us.
Read moreGlad you like what we've done. We've had a few comments about the price since we opened. For us, we didn't want to open a vegan cafe that used cheap ingredients that didn't reflect our ethical approach to business. Cheap food costs money through taxes and environmental damage further down the line. Some of our products are more expensive than other places in town, but our margins remain lower. Any extra cost goes into the quality of ingredients and paying our staff more than the minimum wage, which we thing translates into better value. I think you don't drink coffee, but for example, we use ethical direct trade speciality coffee, which is more expensive to us, then cow's milk costs 44p/litre whereas Oatly Barista costs us £1.50/liter, a cost we decided early on not to pass on to customers (I've been to so many coffee shops where I've had to pay an extra 30-60p more for the privilege of having Oatly). We hope to educate people about where our food comes from versus cheaper food outlets and why we can't sell our food for the same as other High Street businesses without reducing the quality to a level we are not prepared to pass on. For me personally, I would rather save up and spend an afternoon somewhere I loved visiting once a week than go to a large chain every day and have a mediocre coffee or food. Thanks for the papers the otters day, catch up soon,

A real treat! - Edit
At the Wildcat Café they have very good coffee, a great selection of cakes and also some savoury dishes like soup or baked potato. Their cakes are amazing! I tried their orange and almond cake and one of their brownies – both were soooo great! Very often, vegan cakes are somewhat dry, but not at the Wildcat! The atmosphere there is also very nice and relaxed. If you don’t know it, it is not so obvious that it is an all-vegan café – I like that, it means that omnivores “unvoluntarily” also get to try some delicious vegan food and coffee!

Cosy place and fantastic food - Edit
We went there twice, for breakfast and the next day for lunch. The apple and cinnamon porridge was delicious. The salad portions were big and filling. They also have sandwiches and pies. To finish, they have a good selection of cakes and brownies. Also they don’t use any plastic straws, cups or bottles, which is great.

Friendly little vegan cafe - Edit
My boyfriend and I planned to stop in Fort William en route to Skye. Spoiked for choice as Glasgow vegans we were doubtful we would find anwhere to be able to stop and have some lunch in Fort William. To our delight we found this little cafe! We both had the mushroom soup and my partner had a seitan sandwhich which I stole a bite of! The tuneric latte was amazing and I even got a free drink with my reuseable cup I purchased as my own cup cracked on the journey! The staff were all so friendly and we are already looking forward to popping back in on our way home.

Hi, thanks for visiting! Really glad you enjoyed your visit.
Read moreWe try to keep our main menu fresh and change it regularly (daily in fact), which is why we only have one or two options at a time. Hopefully as a vegan, it's something different from the usual offering, and if you're a regular, the next time you come it'll be something different. Today we have Jackfruit burgers and Enchiladas! Yum.
