Amazing in every aspect - Edit
I had multiple items off of the menu and all were excellent. Everything from appetizers, to entrees, to desserts are complaint free. Plenty of options for gluten-free as well. You’ll be well taken care of and leave happy. I’d recommend going here to anyone!

Great food (and pudding) - Edit
Great freshly made food. Had a really good bowl of red rice (yum), tofu, slaw and veg in satay. Very impressed. And then a chocolate pudding rich and almondy. Would certainly return if I lived nearby.

Vegan Comfort Food - Edit
This seems like a great vegan place for non-vegans! It serves realistic and tasty versions of American comfort foods. We had the Cajun "chicken" sandwich, the BBQ pulled jackfruit, Mac and cheeze, and the cauliflower "wings". I really liked the texture of the chicken sandwich, and the Mac'n' cheese could be confused for the dairy version, minus a slight missing "tang". The buffalo sauce and breading for the wings was also good. While the sign (and reviews) mention healthy, I'd say that their specialties (and majority of the menu) are breaded/fried. Don't come here for vegetables! We enjoyed it very much for what it was, but wouldn't come every day.

Vegan food for people that don't want vegan food - Edit
Most things here are breaded, fries, and covered in sauce. The cauliflower hot wings were exactly what you would expect and I loved the sauce. The Cajun chicken sandwich was fine though you don't really taste the tofu skin chicken or the Cajun spice as the cream corn on it drowns out all other flavors. The Mac and cheese had exactly the right consistency and feel though the flavor was on the mild/bland side.

We love Wayside and I follow them on Instagram so when they have something special on the menu I can try it! My favorite thing there is their fried chik’n, also if they have any cake try it!!! We have yet to try anything we don’t love!

Great Place - Edit
On our way back home from Canada and looked up on Happy Cow to see where we could eat. So happy we stopped here. Great food, huge portions. Now I wish we didn’t live so far away.

Great little place in Olympia! This is our first time and we will be back - Edit
We ordered the TBLT sandwich with a side of mash and gravy (OMG good taters!) and the loaded Mac with Broccoli. Most vegan places use something like Diya and the fake cheeses we have found to leave a poor after taste that kinda ruins it for us. The Mac wasn’t overly “cheesy” and the broccoli was perfectly cooked

AMAZING ! SO GOOD ! SO GREAT ! the vegan cherry amaretto cheesecake is absolutely the best vegan cheesecake I have ever had ever, it was light and perfectly flavored. The potato balls were also amazing. Fried food avoided being too oily. Definitely nailed the comfort food atmosphere as well. Everything is vegan and looks fantastic, staff was kind and knowledgeable. Everyone in my party was 100% satisfied and we will all definitely be making the trip from Seattle just to eat here again.

We ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower wings, rib plate and French dip sandwich based on reviews here and yelp. The wings were actually delicious just a little too large. The French dip was tasty and Mac and cheese was perfect. However, the rib plate let us down.

Decent - Edit
I’ve been here twice in the last month or two, and the only thing I’ve been impressed by is the taste of the food. Both of the employees I’ve encountered were not friendly. My first visit, it was extremely hot inside due to them only having a couple fans to keep it cool inside. I tried ordering my food and they were out of salads, gluten free pasta, frosting for their cake, and their ice cream machine was down. After struggling to order almost everything that I wanted, they said no apologies and weren’t polite at all. Plus they told me that they were just waiting to get the machine fixed, so I figured when I went in almost 2 months later they would have it fixed, and they still told me they needed a new one, and they didn’t have any dessert whatsoever. Their display case in the front still was empty which I believe is where they keep the salads so they probably didn’t have those again still. I understand that is new, so I will patiently wait to see if they can work out all of their issues. Other than that, the rib plate is amazing, as well as the Mac and cheese with bacon. I’ve also tried the German chocolate cheesecake which was really good although very small and pricey.

Meh - Edit
Had the potato balls and the breading was too thick with way too much pepper and you couldn’t even taste the potatoes. I might come back another time but for now I’m not super impressed. Too much tofu on the menu for an all vegan place- there are loads of other options out there for meat substitutes.

Delicious!!!! - Edit
Every time I have been, everything I have ordered has been incredible. Cheezecake, BBQ “wings”, amazing mac and cheez...... all plant based and all incredible. Their bowls are filling and tasty. You don’t have to be vegan to love the food here, but I’m glad we’ve got a plant-based cafe where I can ogle everything on the menu instead of having to pick and ask and substitute. ❤️ the only down side has been the ice cream machine has been broken since they opened so I hadn’t had a chance to try the milkshakes on their menu.

Glad this is here! - Edit
I just moved from Portland. The lack of vegan restaurants means I've been cooking at home. I'm going to try the entire menu at this place. Started with the jackfruit chicken sandwich. I never had jackfruit I liked before. It gets a solid 10/10 from me and stands with the best in Portland as well.

I stop by Olympia every month for work and was excited to see it open! Had the rib plate to go, as it was a very hot day both inside and outside the restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious! Ribs, collard greens, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes and gravy.

Good, not great - Edit
I had the Ruby jack fruit burger. The jack fruit was absolutely delicious. As well as the slaw and ruby dressing! However, they put this delicious food on an old tired cheap hamburger bun. You know the ones with a thousand sesame seeds in top, and crumble when you cut them? So all the sauce, slaw and jack fruit sticks to it and it ends up being a dry tasteless burger unless you scrape the insides off the bun and eat it separately. The Mac n cheese was my side. Was very disappointed to learn it was just Daiya - I can make that at home. But I wouldn't because it has that weird gross taste. I was hoping it was butternut squash Mac or cheesy caskew sauce, but nope, cheap boring Daiya. So if you're stuck for vegan fiod, this place is ok, but don't drive out of your way yo go here.

I had the BBQ curls sandwich, which was absolutely fantastic. Mash n gravy was perfect. Wife had the Mac n cheese, which was delicious, and a side salad with a tangy dressing. Great vibe, friendly owners, local art. Do yourself a favor and go.

Vegan oasis! - Edit
We have quite a few places to eat here with vegan options; this is our first restaurant where we don't have to clarify, verify or be limited to two or three choices! We can order ANYTHING we want! This is very exciting! So far everything we've tried has been delicious! The "comfort food" items are just that; creamy mac and cheez, real mashed potatoes with hearty, smooth gravy, warm collard greens tossed in a slightly spicy dressing with onion chunks and a luscious basil infused grapefruit layer cake with just the right amount of sweetness. Lighter options of salad with tempeh and wonderful homemade tahini dressing or tofu with vegetables also offered and also yummy. We're looking forward to treating ourselves to a soft serve ice cream very soon! Calming blue walls, gentle lighting and generous portions. Beautiful example of animal free cooking done with heart and talent. We wish them the best and are already regular customers!
