All vegetarian with some vegan options. Lovely staff, good service. Breakfast until 11:30am. Good range of lunch items. Good selection of teas. Tasty food. Paninis don’t come with chips so have to order them on the side. Fritters as a side were lovely. Panini came with side salad and some hummus and a couple of olives which was a nice touch. I had a roast vegetable panini. Cute little nook if you time it right you can sit in it by the window. Uncomplicated but comforting menu, with some nice surprises such as the fritters or roast vegetable panini which is a bit more interesting than your standard falafel. Good cake selection but didn’t spot anything vegan

This is our second visit and again we are not disappointed. The food and service is spot on. The meals are really well prepared and presented and the Vegan Garlic Bread is possibly the best we have ever tasted.

A small intimate little cafe with a really varied vegetarian and vegan menu and some lovely specials to choose from. They also have gluten free options and have a great range of cakes to tempt you!

This is a great place for breakfast, lunch and anything in between! The staff were very welcoming and made suggestions when I didn't know what to go for (everything on the menu looked super)

We stopped off here on a long journey. The food was fantastic. I had the vegan mezze and my husband had the flatbread special. We were both delighted with the food. We found it almost impossible to choose between the amazing sounding vegan ice cream flavours so we tried 6 between us!! All were fantastic but for me the coffee one was the winner.

I love it here and often visit! They have a lot of vegan items on the menu and I have always had friendly service. They always have vegan cake options which I have always found delicious. I do agree with a previous comment about wanting a burger bunbwith the burgers instead of toasted bread.

The vegan food here is very well done and there's loads to choose from. I tried the pea and courgette soup, vegan rarebit and lemon poppyseed cake. All were delicious. Was sad to hear from a previous reviewer that the cafe believes veganism is too extreme.

Love going to this place and although the menu has lots to choose from I always end up having my favourite bean burger (note: would be even better served in a good burger bun as oppose to the toasted bread but that's me being picky). Lots of vegan options.

The food here is lovely and presented really well. It’s just a shame though that it’s not entirely vegan. I was quite put off to hear one of the servers agreeing with a customer about veganism being a bit extreme. There are a lot of vegan options, which is great. Hopefully one of these days they’ll ditch dairy. The cafe is massively popular so booking is recommended or you may have to wait to be seated.

The Veggie is a lively café, buzzing atmosphere and full of fantastic vegan options. One thing I’d like to point out is the amount of ‘pick and mix’ options available, this would be a great place for someone who wants to have a little culinary adventure, but not worry about ordering an entire dish of something they find out they dislike. There’s lots of combinable dishes, mezze’s and ‘half and half’ options. I went for the half and half soup and sandwich; tasted so wholesome and nourishing, just the way I like my food, the portioning was just right too. My mum ordered the pitta and falafel which were flavoured beautifully, again; moreish, but felt so good and healthy.

Veggie Cafe is a lovely little establishment in Ilkley open Tuesday-Saturday. The menu has a wide range of vegan options, including vegan specials and gluten free cake as an option for dessert. Great food with reasonable prices!

Location not great due to standing traffic jam and opposite a quality butcher's. Ilkley is a bit foodie and around the corner is a grill cafe called the Moody Cow.

However, the tomato and sweet potato soup was delicious and reminded me of a famous non-vegan brand that I can't have now. Apart, that is, from the very hot chilli kick to it. The vegan cake was a bit too stodgy and not light and airy with no discernible lemon flavour to it. I probably will wait for a while before going again.
Pros: Nice wallpaper.
Cons: Too fussy.

It's been a while since I've been and this latest visit was a lovely surprise. The cafe has had a face lift/refurb/extension since then and it still has that lovely welcoming feel.
Read moreFood was excellent as before (really recommend the cauliflower fritters) and service was still as friendly and helpful despite the weather.
Will not leave it as long for the next visit!
