Great selection of vegan items! I noticed many hard to find vegan item along with a bunch of items from companies I had never seen before. They have everything from frozen foods, snacks, fridge items, personal care and even pet food.
No trip to Tonawanda is complete without a stop at the Vegan Grocery Store! Gabby stocks all kinds of wonderful vegan items that can’t be readily found in most larger supermarkets. It’s always fun to see what’s new and seasonal, and to have a go-to for some of our favorite treats! Also offers grab-and-go food like breakfast sandwiches, subs, calzones, pizza, and more! ❤️
This place is amazing! I’ve found lots of things I’ve never even heard of before. The owner is really nice and sweet, and always helps me to find everything I need! Everything is a good price.
It was fun to browse the store. It was well stocked. Excellent displays. The owner is enthusiastic and helpful.
The inventory focus seems to be on packaged foods, many processed. I did not encounter fresh, whole foods.
This is such a great well stocked shop in an unexpected area. Great selection of products and I love that you can get hyper local items like pierogi and onion dip in vegan varieties. I will send all my vegan friends that come to Buffalo here!
How could you not love a place where as a vegan, you can buy anything in the store without reading the ingredients?!
Great & diverse selection of products, most of which you can’t find in any other store in the area. Such a fun place to grocery shop. We look forward to shopping here!
I think it’s worth visiting when you need some hard to find vegan products. It’s not a health food store, but they do have some vitamins and some healthy snacks. The person working there was friendly.
Cute little vegan speciality shop! It's family run and the people are always so nice. It's such a relaxing and fun experience to not have to read labels here!
They've got many fridges filled with brands like Miyoko's, Wayfare, Beyond, etc. as well as small, local brands. Then there are the shelves of dry goods like candy, boxed vegan Mac n cheese, etc. Body and wellness like homemade soaps, eco friendly laundry detergent, etc. Then there are a bunch of freezers with tons of stuff like ice cream, pre made meals, stuff like that.
As other reviews have mentioned, it's not the kind of place to do all your grocery shopping. But rather come supplement and support a vegan owned business.
There is also a lil coffee bar in the store currently, but they will be moving the store across the street in the fall (hopefully) and the current store location will be an all vegan coffee shop. So cool! Stay tuned!!
As a vegan, you get used to reading labels, and it is stressful and heartbreaking. Going here, you don’t have to do that. Just freely buy anything. So helpful especially when just staring out.
Ps the sour scream and onion rings are the best!!!!
All the specialty vegan stuff you could want - Edit
If there's a product you've heard about (and even some you may not have heard about), they've got it! To be clear, this is not a full service grocery store, but one of the owners let me know that there is a huge farmers' market just across the way, so you can grab your produce there for almost one stop shopping.
Really nice people here.
Its definitely something to check out.
THIS IS a vegan food shop that specializes in offering a tremendous selection of vegan items that are difficult to find elsewhere, mainly pantry, refrigerated, and frozen ingredients and prepared foods and cleaning supplies. THIS IS NOT a one stop shop or full-on grocery store as there is no produce and only a limited selection of dry goods (grains, seeds, nuts). The intent of this store is to complement the shopping you usually do in your big grocery store, health food store, and/or farmers markets. Their awesomeness lies in having every variety of products from brands like Gardein, Quorn, Soy Delicious, Daiya, etc. when other grocery stores only offer a partial selection from these brands. There are local and regional baked goods and snacks (glad to see my favorite high-protein NuGo bars from Pittsburgh!) I live about 35 minutes away, and I am the only vegan in my home, so I will likely come here only once in a while when I need to restock on manufactured proteins, get some specialty items, plan a big vegan holiday dinner or party, or need a bunch of frozen meals if life gets too busy to cook.
I love this store! They have such a great variety of all things vegan. They are always bringing in new products and have almost anything veganized you can think of!
Everything here is all packaged and processed foods. Of course it’s still animal friendly which is what matters but its not the best choice for your body. But I also got some cool new things like vegan pierogis, a sticker for the car and vegan cheez-its
Saw an article on Facebook about this place the week before coming to Buffalo for work. How lucky I was able to stop by and get some things as well as eat at Dragon Babies. Great store with excellent selection of products with great prices.
In town as a tourist and was so happy to find this spot. Amazing selection of pantry, frozen, and refrigerated items. GREAT candy selection. The people who own and run the shop are so nice too and very knowledgeable about veg options in the area.
