Amazing burgers! - Edit
Very friendly staff and charming restaurant with local artwork for sale. I tried a special, the teriyaki burger with grilled pineapple (much like Red Robin's bonsai burger). It was DELICIOUS, perhaps the best vegan burger I've tasted. For my side, I couldn't choose between the sweet potato fries and the mac 'n' cheese. I think the sweet potato fries were some of the best I've ever had, and their fry sauce is amazing. The mac wasn't my favorite, but the rest of the meal earned more than 5 stars, so it balances out. I can't wait to go back and try their desserts.

10/10 in every way! - Edit
This place is lovely. Not only is it your only option for all-vegan food almost anywhere on the Oregon Coast, but it’s also delicious, the staff are wonderfully kind, and the vibe is so cute in there. It’s a must-stop on your coast trip. We looooove the Tin Thistle!

Adorable and delicious - Edit
Ngl, my gf and I were skeptical looking at the pictures. However, we decided to go after realizing the pictures were probably taken on a rainy day by amateur photographers on their phones and I'm so glad we went. The absolute best burgers I've ever had, specifically the BBQ and Hawaiian. My gf and I kept coming back, taking 20 minute drivers for the cheerful owner and stellar food.

Amazing find! - Edit
Loved it! Got the pastie which was kind of like a samosa. Very tasty on its own and particularly with the dipping sauce 😋 Fiesta salad was perfect balance of hearty and light /fresh. Everything on menu looked good. Adorable nice space. Recommend!!

Our favorite place - Edit
Delicious food, all vegan and lots of gluten free options too. The people that cook and run the place are super nice. We have tried almost everything on the menu and it has all been delicious. It’s also a great place to bring our non-vegan friends they always find something they love and they don't even miss the meat.

After every bite we both were saying “hmmm” almost singing with delight. The best barbecue burger topped with mushrooms and grilled onions. The cauliflower bowl was superb. Add a side of roasted Brussel sprouts and warm mixed berry pie and you have two very happy people.

I enjoy everything about The Tin Thistle, from the food, the dining environment, and the staff. They always greet me with a smile and remember my favorite dish, the Village Burger on a Gluten Free Bun with Sweet Potato Fries.

Delicious vegan food! My omnivore husband enjoys eating here with me when we are in the area. The owner reversed her health conditions (cancer, I believe) on a healthy vegan diet.💚🌱

This place is absolutely amazing! Hands down, best vegan place I've visited so far. I ordered the specials of the day: Hawaiian Burger and garlic mashers and my husband ordered the nachos and soup of the day, chili. Also, the mixed berry pie. Everything was so flavorful and we will be visiting again the next time we are in town. The service was 10/10, as well.

Love The Tin Thistle! - Edit
We’re on a road trip passing thru and stopped here for lunch and loved the extensive vegan menu. We both ended up ordering house-made vegan burgers with gluten free buns, which were amazing. The burger was a walnut and veggies mix which was fulfilling but not overfilling. Flavors were spot on, sweet potato fries were air fried I think so not too greasy. Owner was delightful to chat with, as were a few other very friendly locals who were eager to chat us up and talk about being vegan on the Oregon coast. Will definitely be back, and recommend you give this place a try when you’re anywhere near Coos Bay.

Really creative - Edit
Everything we ordered had such a creative twist. Pumpkin cookies with frosting kind of like carrot cake, roasted brussel sprouts with almonds and cranberries and what tasted like a lemon twist, and a Hawaiian burger with delicious sauce. I liked that the burger wasn’t made to taste like meat - it looked like marinated and fried tofu. Everything was really good!

Ordered takeaway en route to Eugene. Order was ready when I walked in the door. Hubs got the Indian pastie and garlic mash. I tasted both and they were totally Yummy. I ordered the fiesta bowl- delicious. A much better option than a burger in my opinion.

Delicious Food - Edit
I used to live in Coos Bay and was a regular to this restaurant. Every time I visit I have to stop. On this particular visit I stayed for four days. You guessed it I ate there every day for lunch with a friend and the hubs. It never disappoints as the food is delicious! Just grateful this restaurant is still there serving up great, wholesome, and healthy vegan eats!

Take a Trip to The Tin Thistle - Edit
I was driving through North Bend with my mother. We stopped in for lunch. We were both very impressed with all the food. The special sweet potato mango chutney soup had great flavor and a nice level of spiciness. The potato salad that came with my BBQ Village Burger tasted great. The burger was crispy on the outside with nice texture inside. The pie tasted great. It had flax in the crust. It was one of the best pie crusts I've ever tasted. I would recommend going to North Bend just to eat here.

Fresh and delicious food - Edit
I got the barbecue burger, which was freshly made in house from whole food ingredients; for a side, I selected a simple salad (it's too easy to consume only overly rich food when traveling). I also enjoyed a delicious smoothie. The people there are very friendly.

Such a great treat to discover this really, really great vegan restaurant. We were brand new vegans and the quality of the food, the beautiful presentation, the taste... WOW. This place could really help a folks who are curious about veganism or vegetarianism learn just how tasty WFPB living can be. The staff was wonderful, the atmosphere funky, classy, fun, comfortable. Can't wait to head north and visit again. Number 1 in my book!
