Waffles & Good Options - Edit
Good options both in terms of the sandwiches on offer (all of which come with a cup of soup- which was delicious). And also, I had a great vegan waffle! (Waffles are a little more in comparison to the normal street waffles which are €2 but then again most vegan food items are).
Read moreReally lovely place, and also have organic beers and a tasting menu for those who are interested.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Only vegan waffles I’ve seen so far in Belgium , Great range of sandwiches with vegan mozzarella!

Overpriced vegan gluten-free waffles - Edit
I came in because my boyfriend and I wanted to try Belgium waffles and I read good reviews. However, the prices are insane! 7 euros for a tiny waffle that doens't even taste good (I tried one with agave syrup and my boyfriend one with chocolate sauce)! I really felt like they were taking advantage of vegans, because we are willing to pay more to try local foods. I get that because some ingredients are more expensive but these were just waffles made from (in this case gluten-free) flower and maybe non-dairy milk.. One good thing about the place is that they sell special beers of which I believe some are vegan. Unfortunately the waitress didn't know which ones and I didn't have time to check Barnivore, but if you have more time you could check it out (these seemed to be well-priced)

Overpiced under average food - Edit
I'm Belgian - the worst part about the visit was that the vegan croissant (for dessert) was really bad. It was too doughy and oily / greasy. It tasted really bad. The service was good and friendly, but all the food we had ( vegan cheese platter, focaccia and a sesame lentil falafel plate ) were pretty disappointing and quite overpriced. Usually, I'm not that picky, but this was a big disappointment. I would not recommend this place at all.

Good menu, beautiful food - Edit
Enjoyed my meal here, they do a nice job of presenting not only a menu of good options but also the meal was quite beautiful. I wish it was more filling. The beer selection was fantastic. The waffles were not very exciting, but I really appreciated that they were V/GF and the one with ice cream was the right choice. And the proximity to the Grand Place was a block away.

Waffle & Coffee - Edit
Had a waffle banana/chocolate with a coffee, pretty tasty, the place is cozy and the waitress was really friendly. The price is maybe a little too expensive for a simple waffle. Anyway in the center of Brussels it’s a nice place for a vegan snack.

Not very memorable - Edit
During my city trip to Brussels in August, I went here for the vegan waffles. Other items on the menu were also clearly marked vegan. The smoothies can be made with plant milks.
Read moreIn the end I ordered a banana smoothie and the falafel, which came with a nice sauce/dip and a good soup. I shared a waffle, but if I remember correctly it was a bit bland and dry.
Overall, I'm happy I had a lot of choice and it was close to Grand Place, but the food was not very memorable, especially for the prices. Do take into account though that the closer a restaurant is to Grand Place, the more expensive it likely is, so I had already anticipated that part.
Pros: You can have your waffle in Brussels
Cons: Quite expensive (also due to location), Serving time a little too long, Food a little boring/bland

ok soup. very pricey. - Edit
I had the cheese plate as a starter and then the vegan soup which was tomato and a tea. The cheese plate was mediocre, the mozzarella was bought amd not the best. The soup was good though.

not so convinced - Edit
The place is cosy and the staff is lovely. The vegan options are clearly marked, but, and there is a big but, the portions are tiny and expensive, the waffle is dry and the pasta is quite bland. I do not like giving negative reviews but each time I have been disappointed. Once we had vegan cake that was incredibly dry, as if it had been there for several days already. The sweet wrap is also an.aberration, banana slices and peanut butter in a lettuce leaf?!....for 6,50€.

Organic Beer heaven - Edit
The organic restaurant of the sister is located in the historic centre of Brussels and really close to the central station.
Read moreThe terrace offers some seats outside but they also have cosy areas inside.
The menu clearly indicates the vegan appetizers, salads and focaccia. For the sweet thooth they offer waffles and raw cakes. The foccacia I had was nice, the flavours and textures were balanced. The corners a bit dry but the combined soup offered a great solution for that.
When I asked for a waffle to go they kindly prepared this, just so I could catch my train in time. They were even willing to use my own box.
For the beer lovers, they offer a wide range of organic beers, this seems like the ideal place for a tasting.
Pros: organic, many vegan options, beer tasting, centrally located, friendly staff, willing to use your containers for take away

Went there for lunch on a week day with two non vegan friends.

I had the antipasti plate with a bunch of hummus, dried tomatoes, ..., followed by a beet falafel dewrap and soup. And a Belgian beer! All very good. Too bad they had no more raw cakes...
Pros: Cute place, Cute and good good
Cons: Slow..., Portions on the small side...

Lovely place for brunch - Edit
We had a lovely brunch here, sat on the patio outside. Everything was fresh and tasted yummy. Serves meat too but with plenty of veg options. Big sizes for the sandwich but not overly filling because they aren’t that “full” for sandwiches (bread heavy - but delicious bread)

Large yummy choice - Edit
Very pleasantly surprised by the large selection of vegan food and drink on their menu! I ate one of their focaccia’s (which comes with a little soup! It was delish) and the waffle with ice cream and chocolate! I actually came back two days later for the waffle because I enjoyed my focaccia so much! They are not afraid to play with different and interesting taste combinations which was really refreshing to see (and taste). It was so great to see a very vegan friendly place right next to the one and only Grande Place! Vegan is the future and is definitely accessible to vegans and non-vegans alike at The Sister :) Also, the staff who served us were so friendly!

Not good for waffles - Edit
We went there for the beer tasting and waffles. The waffle with one scoop of ice-cream and chocolate sauce was 10euro and I would rate it as below average.

Not recommend. However, they seemed to have quite a few other vegan things on the menu, which however was also not cheap.

Don’t go there for waffles - Edit
I went here bevarad it was the only place i could find that had vegan waffles. I had to pay €10 for a dry waffle with chocolate and ice cream since they did not accept cards under €10. The cheapest waffle was €6. Hopefully, their food is better. Staff was ok, but the man made me feel small.

Mixed feelings - Edit
Great that they have vegan options clearly labelled and nice selection of beers!
Read moreThe sweet wrap was very cheap (6€). It came on a sort of cabbage or lettuce leaf, and was hardly ‘wrapped’ at all, but held together with a string. A strange combination with the sweet peanut butter sauce.
The sesame lentil falafels were also placed on a leaf, and came with a tiny cup of soup. The falafels were unfortunately extremely dry. 12€ was overpriced.
The lady of the house was very friendly, the bearded hipster wasn't and almost completely ignored us (which also made us leave earlier).

Many vegan options - including waffles! - in the heart of the old town - Edit
The cafe is right next to Grote Markt, on a small alley. It has a modern feel, with many colors and contemporary art on the walls. Went there for the vegan waffles found by searching on Instagram for #veganbrussels, but the menu had so many vegan options that we decide to also have lunch. The food was good, but the waffles did not impress me. Is was the waffle and some chocolate sauce. I expected some vegan yogurt and fruit on top, I was disappointed. The service was good and quick. And they also have vegan beer!

Lovely Restaurant - Edit
Although not entirely vegan, this lovely restaurant in Grand-Place has a very large vegan menu. Waiters definitely know what they're serving and they're very helpful. There are lots of falafels and sandwiches as well as vegan waffles and ice cream.
