A fully vegan “fish” and chip shop, opened in October 2021 by a vegan activist, Earthling Ed. Serves food from a menu designed to authentically represent that of a traditional British fish and chip shop. Sample selection includes vegan cod & chips, smoked vegan haddock & chips, Tofish burger & chips, and tempura prawnz. Also offers side dishes and desserts. Has a food truck that visits markets/events. Open Wed-Fri 12:30-20:00, Sat 12:30-20:30, Sun 12:30-19:00.

I had the cod and chips, jumbo lemon shrimp, tartare sauce and mushy peas. I don’t always like fishy things but this was perfect, my non-vegan friend tried it too and said it was like the real thing.

As a tourist, I’m so glad this place exists. Thanks to The No Catch Co, I was able to get a taste the British seaside experience. I went 3x and had their Vegan Cod & Chips £11, Vegan Smoked Haddock & Chips £11.50, Tempura Prawns £6 and ate them by the sea. It was greasily good.

I’ve personally not eaten real fish before to compare, however I’ve brought several omnivores here and all (but one) have raved about the fish here! I’ve really enjoyed every visit. Inside is really nice to eat in, but also nice to pop in and take away to eat on the beach right by the old pier. The battered sausage is reaaally good.

This was absolutely amazing! Everything was cooked perfectly and we couldn’t believe how good this was, we can’t wait to come back in the summer and have it on the beach. The staff were friendly, feels very clean and modern, definitely recommend!

Had the cod and chips with tartare sauce and curry sauce. All of it was delicious. I’d say the cod isn’t how I remembered cod in terms of texture but it tasted great. The triple-cooked chips were standout. So much better than the often greasy, soggy chips you get from a regular chippy. The curry sauce was excellent and complemented the chips perfectly.
Read moreAs for portion size, I’m usually a massive gannet (nickname: ‘the human dustbin’) and felt full (in a good way) even 7 hours after having had the regular cod and chips, to the extent that I ended up having a really light dinner.

We were genuinely shocked at how great the fish and chips were. I've never really been a fan of vegan fish alternatives so wasn't sure if it would be my thing, but quite honestly this could be the best food I've had in Brighton. We went as a group of 4 and the two non-vegans were equally impressed by their food.
