A fully vegan “fish” and chip shop, opened in October 2021 by a vegan activist, Earthling Ed. Serves food from a menu designed to authentically represent that of a traditional British fish and chip shop. Sample selection includes vegan cod & chips, smoked vegan haddock & chips, Tofish burger & chips, and tempura prawnz. Also offers side dishes and desserts. Has a food truck that visits markets/events. Open Wed-Fri 12:30-20:00, Sat 12:30-20:30, Sun 12:30-19:00.

It was great to find a fully vegan chippy. It’s something I’ve missed being able to have. When the food arrived. I initially thought I’d still be hungry after it, but it was so filling I couldn’t have eaten any more! So good to finally get some decent cut chips! Will definitely be back when I’m in Brighton again.

We tried their vegan fish and chips at a vegan market where thankfully there was no queue which is unusual based on other times we’ve seen their truck. The food is a little pricey for the portion but it’s so good- the taste and texture of the ‘fish’, the chunky chips and their tartar sauce. Wish we’d tried them sooner. Try these whenever you have the opportunity!

Great vegan fish and chips, had these guys at Vegan Camp Out and they were the first food stall I wanted to try, I was not disappointed! We also had tempura prawns which were yum too 🤤

Fantastic vegan cod and chips. Great sauces. Fast service. Just a shame that we didn’t feel we could stay and eat inside due to the constant swearing in the loud music. Not family friendly.

Unappealing premises (it really wouldn’t take much effort to sort out the flower bed outside), dirty toilets, small portions and expensive prices. I’m sure everyone is there to support the great work of Ed Winters but it’s such a missed opportunity to attract non-vegans and encourage them to try more plant-based meals.

Delicious crispy cod with chips for ~ £11, recommended by a friendly and helpful staff member. The taste and texture are excellent! By request, they also recommended I have a side of mushy peas for an extra ~ £2, which I really enjoyed!

**** - only due to the WC area: the toilet seat could get fixed, and the bathroom could get easily decorated.
I also think it is a bit pricey, but it depends on your reference point, I suppose. If you want the best vegan fish and chips - it is worth it at the end.
Overall, I am impressed and would come again and bring (non) vegan friends. Food is worth *****, place only **** for the reasons mentioned above.

No Catch we’re busy when we arrived at 14:45, luckily we managed to get a table. We ordered a large smoked haddock and chips with curry sauce and mushy peas, three battered sausages, and tofish bites.
