Very realistic - Edit
I've never missed fish since I went vegan but it's always good to be able to enjoy a British classic without killing animals. I tried their food at the Vegan Campout 2023, so I don't know what the restaurant in Brighton is like. But I know how good it is! The texture of the vegan cod is very realistic and the chips were very satisfying too.

Amazing vegan seafood! - Edit
A few of my friends recommended this place and I finally went and omg - it was the best vegan seafood I ever had! 10/10 loved it so much!! I had the vegan cod and chips with homemade tartare and it was unbelievably good! I may just go and get food there again tomorrow!

Tasty, lots of options, bit expensive - Edit
Great little place- loads of options like battered sausage and saveloy as well traditional fish and chips (made of tofu and seaweed according to the woman in the shop). The portions are big and I guess for location the prices weren’t bad but equally I felt that it was quite expensive (it’s like £12-13 for a main). Way too big a portion of curry sauce for one person - £1.99 for loads, should do a small portion for £0.99

tasty and innovative - Edit
i tried the cod and chips with calamari and i felt like it really replicated what i remember of a fish and chip shop! couldn't work out exactly what the fish is made from but it was a good texture, goes above and beyond the usual battered tofu. everything tasted great and i loved the tartare sauce as well. the prices are well above a traditional chip shop, but there's clearly a lot more effort put into the production and its a high quality meal :)

Great food! - Edit
A perfect little restaurant right on the seafront. I had to fish bites, chips and mushy peas and my partner had the "smoked haddock" and chips. Both were excellent with good portion sizes, the chips are nice and crispy (not the soggy kind). We also tried deep fried Oreos for a dessert and they were tasty too!

Incredible food. I had the haddock version with chips and tartare sauce. Sat on the beach in the sun and it’s was like a little slice of paradise. My non vegan BF said he wouldn’t have known it wasn’t fish. Spot on smashing it in this place

Good quality vegan chippy - Edit
The saveloy sausage was nice but personally, I probably wouldn’t go for it again. A good quality smokey sausage - my first since in over 6 years! Was nice to have the choice as a vegan. The fish being served looked incredible!

Wonderful food, but.... - Edit
Pros - Yes, the food is great. Also, the normal portion size was very filling. The person taking orders was very personable and engaging. However, it is unfair to expect them to both take orders and serve food. This leads to long queues (people left) and food not promptly given to customers. Poor customer service all round.
Read moreMy biggest concern and reason for the low rating is the state of the toilet. I was shocked and appalled. Had I used the facilities before I'd ordered and eaten, I would have left. I won't go into detail here, but please, you must do better and do so immediately. Your vegan customers deserve better. The state of the toilet shows a total disdain for all your customers and for sure is a health hazard. Is there a similar lack of cleanliness in the kitchen, too? Plus, the lack of cleanliness reflects poorly on all of us vegans. You're letting yourselves down. You know better, so please *do* better.

Best vegan sausage and chips ever - Edit
Whenever I have omni friends come to visit me in Brighton, I bring them to the beach and offer them the option to go to No Catch with me, or go to the 'real' fish and chip shop a few doors down. Those who choose the 'real' fish and chips always end up jealous of how incredible the No Catch looks (and tastes!) compared to theirs and never make the same mistake twice.
