Great vegan fish and chips

We got cod and chips with tempura prawns. All very nice. Quite rich food so we shared a large portion between 2 of us.

The best vegan fish and chips I've had

The food was fantastic, and the portions generous. Chips were crispy and golden, not soggy. Tartare sauce recommended.

incredible

No Catch, a vegan fish and chip restaurant in Brighton, offers a delicious and unique plant-based dining experience. I've only ever had the food to take away, but it is amazing to enjoy it on the beach.

The menu at No Catch is impressive, featuring a variety of options from Tofish bites to popcorn prawns, and even vegan calamari. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is casual and the food is delicious. So, if you're in Brighton and craving for some vegan fish and chips, don't hesitate to drop by No Catch.

Great vegan chippy by the sea

It's fantastic to be able to eat delicious vegan fish n chips by the sea. My non-vegan husband loves this place, in particular the tempura prawns and battered sausages. I'm working my way through the menu! The staff are always love and the restaurant spotless.

A must visit!

Absolutely amazing vegan fish and chips - I will also never NOT get the mushy peas offered at here or unity diner as they are also glorious! The fish is so flavourful with the homemade tartare sauce and the chips were cooked to perfection. If you have limited time in Brighton as a vegan, this is 100% the place to be! Also extra points from a visiting Scottish tourist for selling Irn Bru!! 🫶🏻

Hot inside but worth it for the food!

Great little shop hidden a bit away. We were happy with the portion sizes - they’re bigger than at Vegan Camp Out, if anyone has tried it before there. First time I’ve had calamari in 10 years and I was very impressed. My partner had the large cod and chips, I had calamari and tofish bites which filled me up. Warning though: if it’s warm outside it is BOILING in the shop, so we opted to sit outside but it is lovely to have on the beach anyway.

Pros: Very realistic

Cons: Too hot inside to sit in

Amazing fish and chips

Fish was so incredible we went back for a 2nd piece! Chips... Out of this world. Battered sausage... 10/10...didn't like the calamari but that's just a texture thing for me. Only thing that let this place down was the cleanliness. Toilets were grim and outside table/area dirty and not very appealing. 100% return though.

Amazing Vegan Fish N Chip Shop

A little expensive but worth it. They have vegan versions of battered sausages, cod and haddock and even have a vegan tartare sauce. Very big portions. Would recommend! You have to eat fish n chips near the sea!

The best fish and chips ever!

Absolutely delicious vegan fish! Love the menu that resembles that of a traditional fish and chip shop!
I had the smoked haddock and chips and my partner had cod and chips and both were fab, with the taste and texture being very close to that of the real thing.

Pros: Fantastic fish , Curry sauce , Nice restaurant

Cons: Wooden knifes and forks

Really impressed

Really impressive rendition of vegan fish and chips, far surpasses other versions we’ve had. Already recommended it to several people who’ve recently given up fish. The texture and taste of the faux fish was really impressive. The batter was light and delicious. The chips were much nicer than traditional fish & chips.

Atmosphere not for everyone

Food is good and the staff are friendly, but the atmosphere is not great. Loud punk music, uncomfortable and not very clean. There are no non-deepfry options (even a small salad), only throwaway cutlery and canned drinks.

Pros: friendly, tasty if you like fried food

Cons: atmosphere, cleanliness, only fried stuff, drink & sides options

Amazing vegan fish and chips

My husband and I had the cod and smoked haddock with chips. I'm still trying to figure out how they manage to reproduce the flaky texture of fish using tofu. The flavour is spot on, partially provided by a nori "skin". The fish was very crispy and not oily at all, and the chips were triple fried and the crispiest chunky cut chips I've ever eaten. I've only tried vegan fish made with banana blossom in the past, and this was so much more tasty. The only downside was that they ran out of vinegar on the day we visited.

Pros: Incredibly tasty vegan fried fish , Right on the seafront across from Brighton 360

Cons: They ran out of vinegar!, Small restaurant that gets crowded

Best Vegan Fish N Chips Ever

All the way down to the seaweed 'skin' this was a carefully crafted and lovingly made product, the batter was perfect and the chips in classic English chip shop style - we were then blown away by the quality of the la vie breakfast bun we had the next morning, a great joint and somewhere we will be visiting when we're next in Brighton :)

Best vg fish and chips!!

Incredible replica of the traditional fish and chips, the flavour of the smoked haddock 👌🏻 and the chips were insane. Also tried the tofish bites which were equally as tasty, absolutely amazing to have this choice by the seafront 😍

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had and big portions!

The fish and chips were sooo good. This is my first time having vegan fish and chips and they couldn’t have been better. If you’re a fan of fish and chips then definitely go here! Even if you’re not, my boyfriend is not a huge fan and he loved it too! We got two larges and didn’t finish all of it. Definitely get the vegan tartar sauce too!

Pros: Fish and chips were amazing, Large portions, Good tarter sauce

Incredible!!!

Tried this at Vegan Campout. I’ve wanted to try it for so long and did not disappoint.

Incredible how this tasted what I remember fish to taste like, texture and flavour was incredible. Also my other favourite was the vegan calamari honestly amazing! Both my partner and I were blown away!!

Now I need to get myself to Brighton so I can try more on the menu.

Pros: Incredible flavours and texture, Lovely staff, Worth the money

As a certified vegan fish LOVER, This meal was perfect for me. Had the haddock and chips and then tempura prawns on the side, the haddock was so amazing and the prawns were a great lighter side. Will add as well that we also bought a gherkin which was magnificent . best gherkin i’ve ever ever had. Thanks no catch! Thanks Ed!
