The best green salad ever! - Edit
We found this place yesterday and we were happy that they welcomed us without having reservation, as it looked like this sort of place where reservation is a must and we were wearing shorts ;)
Read moreGenerally, it was a lovely experience -> the service and the food were magic!
I decided to have a green smoothie with my food and I found it quite watery and small for the price for 6 EUR, so would not recommend that.
My main, however - green salad (despite sounding really boring ;) ) - was probably the best salad I have ever had! A perfect combination of beans, sprouts, avocado, etc...
My husband had a pizza with similar WOW effect :)
Then the deserts... We had brownie (amazing!!!) and carrot cake (great, but far too big and really heavy). So I do not recommend the carrot cake after a meal, even after salad, unless you share it.
But generally -> lovely place + great service and would gladly come again :)
Pros: Atmosphere and deco, FOOD!!!!!, Service
Cons: smoothie

beautiful food - Edit
Beautiful environment, well selected dishes excellently prepared and presented. It's not often you find a meal so well made that you can taste the fine balance of herbs and good quality produce. We went after a day of exercise, so we were huuungry, could have done with slightly bigger portion. Definitely going to be our regular "dinner with friends" place. Service was fantastic as my partner has a few allergies, the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

Beautiful restaurant and beautiful food - Edit
I had a beautiful salad and an exotic fruit platter for dessert. Though simple dishes, they were very tasty. This place has lots of vegan and raw options. It's a little fancy which I didn't realise before I went there. If I were to go again I would dress up a little.

Mucha onda - Edit

Fantastic food - Edit
A really nice and elegant restaurant with a good atmosphere. It's not the cheapest food in Barcelona, but it is really good. The bean burger is my favorite and is delicious.

Loved it - Edit
Cool restaurant, delicous food, prices ok for the quality.
Read moreWe had the "Bruschetta Spot" with smoked burrata and Favas, very good and refreshing with very cold topping on warm bread.
Then the black pizza and the swett potato spaghetti with Madadamia nut cream and black truffles. We loved all!
One star less as they didn't find the confirmed reservation and while just sitting at the table at 8.40pm being told that we need to leave by 10pm. It was enough time for us as we don't eat dessert. The staff in general is very fast and attentive but also very unpersonal (no "how was ut, do you need anything else...).
We would definitely go back for the food and the ambiance.

The closest thing to fine dining in Barcelona - Edit
This restaurant is a bit different from most vegetarian restaurants in Barcelona. It has modern and light interior, clearly inspired by Scandinavian design. The menue is extensive, with raw and gluten free options.

Just the spot - Edit
As many have already commented the decor inside the Green Spot is simply stunning, modern and chic but not in a pretentious way. Depending on where you are seated you can also see the marina. The staff are very attentive and friendly too putting you at ease straight away and most importantly the food is great. We went for lunch and ordered the yellow spot curry with black rice (€14.75) and the Sun choy bao tofu setas (€10.50), both of which were presented beautifully and tasted even better with a great depth of flavour. Some may say these prices are expensive but we thought it was value for money and will definitely return again. We also got a raspberry lemonade and apple press juice (€3.25) to wash it down, very refreshing indeed. If I did have one con, I would personally like to see a few more vegan options. In summary, Green Spot is a must to go to when you visit Barcelona but I would advise booking.

Fantastic - Edit
Delicious, I think the food I had here is probably the best vegan food I have ever eaten. The green hemp pizza was perfection. My partner had the sweet potato tagliatelle, looked unsure of it when it arrived but after one mouthful relised it was exceptional. The flavours are incredible every mouthful was a delight. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff where friendly and effficient. Not the cheapest, but certainly worth every single cent. I haven't got a bad word for this restaurant.

veggie restaurant with vegan options - Edit
I ate here on my first night in Barca as it was really close to where I was staying. It's a nice, quite upmarket restaurant and probably the poshest place I have eaten in Barcelona. The food was excellent. I had a noodle dish and though it was nothing like what I expected it was tasty and surprisingly filling. The staff were friendly too.

Fabulous - Edit
The Green Spot is one of the best vegetarian restaurants that we went to in Barcelona. It has a modern decor and a gentrified atmosphere. The food was great. We had a rice paper roll and salad as appetizers, both great. Our entrees were a sweet potato tagliatelle and a burger, again very good. Dessert was an unusual and delicious lemon and celery sherbert. The baked kaki (persimmon) and pear was less successful and less tasty. Overall, a fabulous dining experience.

Sweet Dreams are made of these - Edit
Who am I to disagree? I've travelled the world and seven seas, everybody is looking for something......and this something is The Green Spot. If I could sneak in the word showaddywaddy I would but it's just not appropriate. After a quick margarita and maybe a mojito at Rosa Negro we continued to the end of Via Laietana and crossed the road to the amazing Green Spot. Once again, we have an immediate 5 happy cow impact listing in Barcelona. Barcelona always delivers the best. As soon as you walk in its obvious a lot of money has been spent on the fittings. This is a sophisticated but non pretentious dining venue. I love the spot lighting and comfortable seating arrangements. There is both table and armchair dining. I love the decor, the furniture and I love the relaxed atmosphere. Oh yes, I also love the food. We started with a curried red pepper dip served with pitta breads, carrot and celery sticks. Delicious. For main courses you are looking at a phenomenal Asian style tempeh and noodle wok stir fry and an outlandish yellow Thai style curry served with black rice. These were both quite a sensation. A bottle of rosé wine at a fruity €14 made this a most enjoyable experience. There were a lot of items on the menu that I craved to be vegan but weren't. Hey ho. A great time was still had by all

The Future is Green - Edit
WOW!!!!
Read moreI have dreamed about modern stylish 'futuristic' restaurants that happen to be vegetarian as opposed to checking out cool eateries where the diners gorge on the dead. If we hadn't purposely visited the Green Spot as a result of discovering it on happycow I would have probably walked past thinking it would be too expensive. This place is amazing. It is uber cool, you could chill out/ lounge here for hours in their comfy seats. The food is very special, the tempeh we tasted was the best we've ever had, it was sensational and I'm usually not smitten over tempeh. The staff were really helpful and friendly and you can't fail to feel relaxed and welcome. My only criticism is that although there are a good array of vegan meals to choose from, non vegan meals do seem to dominate the menu and many of these could be easily transformed to vegan delights.
To conclude, The Green Spot is a truly Great Spot for veggies, vegans and to transform the narrow minded views of those veggie sceptics. It's an uplifting and satisfying experience and one that should not be missed.
Pros: special restaurant and ambiance. , great food. , good value, the food is not as expensive as it loo

Perfection - Edit
Walking into The Green Spot is an experience all on its own, one that prefaces the over all purpose of coming here, the food.
Read moreThe automatic sliding glass door, the wooden hallway with minimalist decor that hides nothing, letting you know its integrity, its honesty, it needs to hide nothing. The hallway leads you into the heart of the restaurant, which is warm and welcoming.
The Staff attentive and knowledgeable, make you feel like you're having dinner with old friends, and the kitchen open and visible, lets you see the mechanics of what goes into the food.
THE FOOD, packs a flavor punch with every bite that only great produce can deliver, a taste that exposes the most delicious qualities of every ingredient. It reminded me of every beautiful corner in Barcelona, and in my opinion, Barcelona's focus on artistry, and localism, a city from another time, living in the present. The portions are perfect, and the drinks are crafted like a work of art, beautiful, refreshing, and each sip touches all the senses, I highly recommend everyone to order a drink.
The Green Spot isn't just a place where you'll grab a bite, even if thats the only reason you plan on going there, because once you cross that glass door you're in for a Catalonian vegetarian ride, of taste, smell and feel.
I hope I can be back here again for a new journey.
So, if you're coming here tonight, you made the right choice.
Pros: delicious food, tasty drinks, welcoming and attentive enviroment
Cons: NO CONS
