Excellent food but initial service was poor - Edit
The food here was excellent. We ordered cauliflower wings, gyoza, pesto linguine, spiced fries and the Charlie Brown chocolate dessert. So full of flavour and every mouthful was a joy. Although not that keen on the chocolate moose part of the dessert - the cheese cake looked good for my next visit!
Read moreWord of warning is that you should make a reservation. The restaurant had a couple of large parties and many many empty tables but they turned away people without a reservation. Including us. Basically told us no reservation no chance! No option to make a reservation for later. So we made a reservation online and came back an hour later for a much better experience. With a reservation we were shown to a table immediately (by the same person who turned us away the first time!!).
The waiter that served us (after we were allowed in) was fantastic. Just a bad experience with the initial approach.
Well worth the hassle in the end as this was some of the best vegan food we ate in the area.
Pros: Excellent tasting food, Good value for money, Comforting food options
Cons: Turned away without reservations.

Fancy night out. - Edit
The restaurant looked amazing, the service was good, juice of the day fantastic but was a bit disappointed with the seitan steak which was recommended to me by the waiter. It was not very interesting, too much trying to mimic a ‘real’ steak.

Excellent - Edit
Really good place to go out for dinner if you’re looking for something with a bit more upscale feel, without actually being too fancy. The waitresses were incredibly nice, as they also do give helpful recommendations when asked for (instead of just saying everything is good, as it is in a lot of places). You can easily get starter, main, desert and drinks and get a good value for your money. Went there twice on my trip, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Unique and delicious vegan food in Lisbon! - Edit
Unique vegan dishes with flair!
Read moreFood***
We ordered the tofu topped with seaweed atop mashed potatoes—on the menu this is the Boneless Lagierio. The tofu was flavorful and the mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious! We also had the Katsu Curry, which stated it was spicy but it wasn’t at all. There were only two small pieces of tofu in it, which was very disappointing. The Curry was good but I would recommend they add more tofu to it. Lastly—we ordered Portugal’s own green wine, but it tasted much like America’s white wine! Not bad but not great in our opinion.
Atmosphere****
Cute, cozy and quiet atmosphere with nice lighting and plenty of seating.
Service***
Make sure you make a reservation although this isn’t very clear because we went one day and we were told reservations needed and that they were full. Then we came back the next day without a reservation since the reservations were not working on their site and we were given a table. It’s not clear how this system works. At the restaurant service was great, no complaints.

The food wasn’t good (it came really fast and we could taste it was reheated). Wouldn’t recommend. Seemed like a place for tourists!

Strange - make reservations - Edit
We were turned away when we walked in unfortunately for not having a reservation. Of course we don’t know how many reservatons were made for the rest of the night so it might have been the case but there were at least two-three free tables when we walked in. The whole situation was really awkward because for some reason it actually felt like something else not the lack of reservation - we didn’t know what could have been the problem but we were trying to find out during the rest of the night guessing between us, it felt really bad. We would have waited though but that didn’t come up as an option. Unfortunately this was our last night in Lisbon so we’re not going back. The point is I recommend making a reservation before you go there. The restaurant looked nice though.

The Green Affair - Edit
Get the tofu potato entree (of which I can't remember the name, but see my photos), it was delicious. The soup I had was lovely and the fried cauliflower was pretty good. Loved sitting in their outdoor patio area.

A fine affair that needed spicing up a bit. - Edit
Very smart and welcoming interior.
Read moreThe evening began splendidly with a large jug of the Sangria Verde. The addition of basil mixed with the gin, wine and triple sec was inspired and is something we recreate at home (no mention of basil in current online menu, shame if no longer included as it makes a refreshing addition to the drink).
The cauliflower wing starter was crunchy with very well flavoured sauces, delicious.
The seitan steak looked marvellous when it appeared. Sadly, it seems they left the pepper out of the pepper sauce. It really didn’t taste of anything. Shame, because it would have set the excellent seitan and sweet potato fries off well.
The Charlie Brown chocolate desert was an indulgent delight of chocolate textures.
Could have been a perfect meal if they’d have ground some pepper into that sauce.

Incredible vegan food. - Edit
I usually go to the Green Affair in Saldanha and the food is wonderful. I took this opportunity in Green Affair Chiado to try the pizzas since they are not available at Saldanha's restaurant but I don't recommend them! The pizza is very small, the dough is extremely thin and maybe I should have chosen one with tomato sauce instead of mushrooms sauce to had a better experience. Although the other dishes are very tasty, I just think there is a lot of room for improvement in the pizzas.

Not good quality - Edit
We ordered 2 starters and for main dishes 2 pizzas, one burguer and one hummus bowl.
Read moreIn general the quality of the food was not good. But the big problem is that the hummus was inedible (we think it was rotten). We asked if someone in the kitchen staff could try it (we thought this could be helpful since they shouldn’t want to serve something that is not good).
The waitress said that everything is tasted before it leaves the kitchen and that the hummus is made every day. We have a hard believing in any of those claims.

Yummy croquettes! - Edit
I went to "The Green Affair" as part of a vegan food tour and only had the chance to try the appetizers but even they were very good and if I had had more time I would definitely have come back to try their main dishes. For the appetizers I recommand trying the spinach croquettes, they are very juicy and the dip is amazing!
