Cosy little place - Edit
I thought this place was nice enough but the food is if you fancy something junk food type as it's mostly all fried etc. The atmosphere was nice in the place - it's a little out of the way but was nice to try

Proper good burgers! A right treat. - Edit
Eaten here a few times. Proper chunky and tasty junk food. Feels like an independent venture too, nice n unique interior with a lovely down to earth vibe. Love it!

Different - Edit
A very cute little pub, I imagine very popular with locals, with lots of music things going on and such. The menu had different burgers, hot dogs, loaded fries etc. The meals ranged from 7 to 9 pounds each. I got a double cheeseburger with bacon and it was really delicious. It came with fries that were also pretty nice. My parents got a hot dog and a spicy chicken burger thing, although neither of them liked theirs much. The hot dog was genuinely stone cold and the texture of the chicken was odd. The buns on all our meals were kinda dry and not that nice though. The meals were served on yellow plastic trays which was surprising and odd, I just don't get why you wouldn't use plates. Overall I'd like to go again, which I will be doing when I move into university as it's very close by (which is handy). Couldn't try the desserts as I was too full.

Amazing vegan junk - Edit
Best vegan junk in Liverpool! Set in an old pub the menu is not what you would expect walking in!! It's a proper old man's pub and dog friendly. It's not the most cosy place but the food makes up for it! Delicious

Smelly, unclean pub but food is good - Edit
Cleanliness at this pub is poor and there is an overwhelming smell of dogs (yes, it’s great that it’s a dog friendly pub but this is ridiculous). The toilets are also broken and in a bad state.
Read moreIf you can stop yourself from worrying about the food hygiene, the food is actually really good. Great range of burgers and junk food. I wish it wasn’t served on a terrible yellow plastic school tray though.
Staff are friendly and all the beers are vegan too.
I wish this pub would clean up its act as it has so much potential as a vegan haven.
Pros: All vegan pub , Brilliant burgers , Friendly
Cons: Unclean & smelly environment , Plastic plates , Toilets in bad condition

First of all, best vegan chicken ive ever experienced, delicious food all round and a fairly nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food took a little long to get to me (but was a really busy day) and the toilet was pretty beat.

Not for germophobes - Edit
I'd heard good things but The Caledonian was NOT what I was expecting. It was a lot smaller than I imagined but my main issue was hygiene here. I chose to sit on an upholstered long chair which I wish to God I had moved from as the area basically smelt to me of child's pee and greasy old men. The carpet under the seat was indescribable, like a thousand pints had been spilt onto it, mouldy with encrusted food in and the table, as mentioned in another review, was sticky and gross. I felt uncomfortable eating there. The walk to the loo you just stuck to the floor. They need to rip the carpet up and put wipe clean flooring in the eating area at the back at the very least.
Read moreThe double bacon cheese burger was amazing but I had a hard time losing myself to it as I was tryna ignore the smell everywhere else and hope to God nothing creepy ran up my legs.
Please sort out the environmental stuff and you'd be boss.
Pros: great burger
Cons: seriously dirty

Great burgers - Edit
The reviews of the food on here match up to our experience! We had the 'chicken' and the double 'beef' burger, can't remember the names exactly but it's quite clear that's what they are on the menu. The pub is a little bit tired and outdated, but the food is the reason we went. Dog friendly pub 🐕

Burgers and ‘chicken’ wings with gravy are amazing. Laid back pub atmosphere and friendly staff. The burgers can be very greasy. Good value for money in my opinion!

The best vegan burgers I've ever tried!. Delicious. A bit on the greasier site but I guess it's because of a hash brown. I wanted to visit it once but since I was alone and the pub was filled with men drinking beer I skipped it. ;)

Didn’t Stay - Edit
Unfortunately didn’t stay long, looked at the menu which looked amazing but when entering was very disappointed with the establishment and didn’t like how the food was served on plane style looking plates.
