A new favorite! - Edit
The Burrowing Owl has an extensive menu and decent beer selection. Our group ordered the Supreme Burrito, Rice & Bean Supreme Bowl, a BLT, the Seven Layer Dip, Spicy Mac, the Friday Night Special Loose Meat Philly and the Cookies and Cream Cake. Everything was terrific! We’ll definitely be back!

A wonderful vegan spot - Edit
Took a couple trips for us to get in the groove of this place and find some favorites on the menu, now we look forward to any excuse to go to the Springs so we can go here! I would recommend the 7 layer dip. It's spectacular. Always a good selection of kombucha, which you can order by the glass or get a growler! Decor is interesting, consisting mostly of vintage beer signs. Staff is super knowledgeable, fun, and consistent.

Atmosphere is wonderful, extensive tap list and bar selection. Overall, most of the food I’ve had here is pretty mediocre….but is so nice to have a spot in COS where a vegan can order anything on the menu.

I was sooo hungry for a good vegan feed after two weeks on the road at work conferences with nothing but salad at the buffets. This place was an unexpected oasis. Food was excellent, drinks were excellent, the people and vibe were also excellent. Good hearty vegan food. Lots of options

Very fun place for dinner! Great vegan food and super friendly staff. I got the Tuesday special (chimichanga) and it was delicious. I’ll definitely be going back when I’m in town.

Love the ambience, service, and food! Our server, Jen, was great and passionate about the ethos and food of the business. Everything is organic and vegan, which was awesome. There was a great variety in the menu, but for two, we got the veggie plate with the three dips, the messy sloppy, and the Thai peanut soup (that was a special). All were fantastic! The soup was my favorite, with the texture and flavor on point. Very flavorful but definitely not too spicy for my heat-sensitive self. The sloppy sandwich was wonderful too, with the pickles really putting it over the edge. The ginger beer was awesome too—clearly made with real ginger, it was a perfect refreshing palate cleanser! My mom got the iced green tea with agave and lemon, which was excellent and refreshing. I overall cannot say enough praise for this place. Wish I could come back!

I love that this restaurant is completely vegan! No worry about what is in things or if they are vegan. All options are a go! We got the Mac and cheese, burritos, bowls and some appetizers. Everything was delicious! So good we went multiple times while we were in Colorado Springs.😄

I absolutely love this place. Everything I’ve had from there is phenomenal, but the BLT is definitely a must have. I recently had their nachos the last time I went and that has become one of my new favorites. They always have a different type of soup to try, and none of them disappoint.

On 06/19/22, I ordered chips and salsa and a Caesar wrap. There was not enough salsa for the large amount of chips. The vegan bacon was a good swap for the croutons found in a traditional Caesar salad.

Great stop in the Springs! - Edit
Finally stopped in to see this place and was not disappointed! Slightly thrown by the atmosphere at first but everyone was so nice and staff was great. So glad that the food is house made and not just fake over processed vegan junk food thrown together. Everything looked great and the menu said they don’t use cooking oil which I appreciate! I had a veggie wrap and tried the Mac. Very tasty. Threw a giant piece of cake on top and I was stuffed.

Very happy I found this spot before hiking! A bizarre and endearing atmosphere (the cauliflower/watermelon pseudo-taxidermy over the bar was a nice touch) and the staff are so nice. Great, reasonably priced food makes it an easy recommendation

This place is open all year round and is a full vegan bar and restaurant. They are also an open ingredient restaurant so they will just give you the recipe to anything you ask about.
I got the hippie loaf club and it was to die for. My husband really enjoyed his fire island tacos. He got the spicy Mac and I got regular. I could taste a tiny bit of nutmeg in it so I asked about it and that’s when he gave me the recipe. It was probably the best vegan macaroni I’ve ever had. It was so different and unique and creamy.
We also got a peanut butter chocolate cake as well as a spice cake. Both were so rich and delicious.
The waiter was so extremely nice and the atmosphere here is amazing.
This is a MUST if you’re in the area.
So, so happy I decided to stop here and will 100% be back again soon.
