Must Try Vegan Spot in Japan - Edit
The food in no doubt was absolutely delicious. I want to keep coming back here for the remainder of my Japan trip. Always awesome to see restaurants like these incorporating modern veganism.

LOVE - Edit
Tenzo is amazing! The “pork” cutlet meal was delicious. I added on the side of soup which was so fresh and flavorful. You order and pay using the machine at the front of the restaurant. I definitely recommend Tenzo.

Bland meal - Edit
Ok meal but I found it underwhelming due to the very small amount of veggies and salad provided with a HUGE amount of rice and barely any sauce or no sauce at all depending on what dish you order. It just wasn’t enough veggies or flavor.

Easy tasty option for non-Japanese speaking travelers - Edit
We went to Tenzo for an easy dinner on our first night in Tokyo, and had the "pork cutlet" (thanks to recommendations on happy cow) and the "chicken". Both were great with large portions and offered fresh veggies and lettuce, the pork was our fav! It was easy to order here, with a kiosk at the front with English options, and the person working was very kind.

Try the 'pork' cutlet - Edit
Their 'pork' cutlet was the best faux meat I've ever had. Nice mild curry.

Good food, bad location - Edit
No matter where you come from, Tenzo restaurant is a bit hard to reach because it is located in a business district between stations (and not close to any one of them). In the evening, this district can be very quiet because there's little to no residential housing.
Read moreBut... I'd say it is certainly worth the travel! Tenzo is a small yet remarkably clean and modern vegan restaurant. One has to place an order and by for it using a machine at the door. The machine supports Japanese, Chinese and English and accepts cash and several cards. It's easy to use.
We ordered the quinoa salad and the chicken like soy protein bowl. Both we beautifully presented and very tasty. There's a good variety in ingredients to make it a healthy and filling meal. The ingredients seemed to be of good quality and thus we finished our plates remarkably quickly. Certainly a place to visit again!
Pros: good food, clean and modern place, reasonable prices
Cons: located in a business district, closed on the weekends

Quality Ingredients - Edit
This is my second day eating here in a row. I love their stuff. So delicious and their plating is the most beautiful I’ve seen for a vegan spot since I’ve been here (I’ve tried at least 6 or 7 other food spots since I arrived in Osaka 4 days ago).
Read moreI highly recommend you try them. I also love the fact that they offer bentos so you can grab one and get on the Shinkansen. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Tip: Osaka has more options for spots that offer both vegan & gluten meals.
Pros: Quality ingredients , Great taste, Awesome presentation
Cons: No gluten-free options , No soy-free options

Worth the train ride over - Edit
This place was amazing, and one of my favourite things I've eaten so far in Japan. It was a cute store, and they had several bowls to choose from. We got the chicken nuggets and pork cutlet bowl with soup on the side. So delicious. Staff were very friendly, you order your meal off a kiosk at the front which also has english as an option. For the amount of food you get I thought it was well priced! They also had food available to grab and go.

Great meal - Edit
This place was insanely good, The "katsu" I had was the best I've ever tasted. Most imitation meat I find that they're not that good (not in comparison to real meat, I've never eaten real meat so idk about that one) just in terms of taste or texture. This one was perfect in practically every way. The entire set with rice and soup (really good soup too btw) was 1100 yen.

Cozy spot and tasty lunch - Edit
I had takeaway lunch here and it was delicious! The boxes they provide are so cute and the staff was so friendly to help me. You order through a machine and can pay by card and cash. The machine is also available in English. While the food was good, I just wish the portion was a little bigger. The box you see is not filled all the way… there is only a small bit of rice in there.

Amazing Japanese Comfort Food - Edit
Tenzo was the perfect lunch spot for vegan food in the Shiodome area. This casual spot whips up some great vegan Japanese food at affordable prices.
Read moreOrdering is super easy - all done through the kiosk at the front. You are able to set the language to English if need be, making it very easy to navigate and pay. Your order is automatically sent to the kitchen so all you need to do is grab a seat.
I ordered the Soy Meat Kaarage Set that comes with miso soup and salad. The food arrived moments later and it was delicious. There was a healthy portion of kaarage over a bed of greens, topped with alfafa sprouts, carrots, and other garnishes. The kaarage was seasoned well and really gave the impression of chicken as I once knew. Amazing food!
Because the bowl itself came with a bowl of greens, the salad set ended up not being as needed. However, there's never an issue with consuming more veggies, am I right?
They also have a fridge section where you can take some of these pre-packaged meals home to reheat later. If I had more time in Tokyo, I would have totally done this to avoid struggling to find vegan friendly food.
Pros: Easy to order, Excellent portions, Pre-packaged takeaway options available

Highly recommend this place for lunch!

It is easy to find and looks very nice. Very Clean (hand sanitizer on each spot as well!) very pretty interior and super friendly owner!
Self order and small great menu with vegetable curry, detox eggplant rice bowl,
Wheat meat cutlet or soy protein rice bowl. I had a combo menu with the soy protein rice bowl:
Vegan soy meat is chewy and fried in a bit orange sauce. Delicious food and also the side dishes were great.
Also good for take out - they have a shelf with already packed dishes as well.
As combo you can have soup or salad or both!
Definitely go for the salad -
black vinegar,mustard sesame dressing (!)
They deliver through Wolt and uber eats
