Fantastic restaurant! - Edit
Tendril has become a new favourite of mine and it is always on the list when I’m in London. We have visited on three separate occasions and every time has been wonderful! The food is creative and delicious and the set menus are very good value. The staff are extremely friendly and provide excellent service. Would highly highly recommend to all!

Very good but could do better - Edit
I went for lunch with two friends before the theatre. We chose a few dishes and the food was good. I had the leek fritters with curry leaf aioli and they were extremely good, although from the description I was expecting potato salad of which there was only one tablespoon.
Read moreFor main I had marinaded oyster mushroom skewers, really nice but the flavours could be stronger. I also tasted the bean dip which came with excellent fresh pitta bread.
The dessert was banoffie pie, which had a chocolate biscuit for base, it was really good but on the heavy side.
The dessert would have gone down better with a cup of tea but to our surprise this restaurant doesn't do coffee or tea, which I think it's a let down.
The service was rather hit and miss (they asked if we wanted to keep our forks, they didn't know the apple crumble was finished). The portions are on the small side and the prices are high (but probably normal for a very central location).
Pros: Good atmosphere , Good food
Cons: Small portions, No hot drinks

Perfect birthday dinner - Edit
Fully vegan menu with a couple of vegetarian options, all the food was beautifully prepared and presented. The staff were lovely and also helpful when choosing options. I recommend booking as we were there on a Tuesday night and they were turning people away.

Excellent fine vegan dining - Edit
We had the festive set lunch menu. My friend who was not vegan found the food to be very tasty and enjoyable. It was very attractively presented. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Decor was tasteful and atmosphere was quiet. Overall it was reasonably priced. Although portions weren't enormous, they were more than enough to leave us feeling full. Will return.

Very nice - Edit
Lovely unhurried lunch with attentive and friendly service. We had the smokey white bean dip and leek fritters which were excellent. The flavours are innovative, so it’s great to try something different. The portions are quite small and it’s expensive, but perhaps that’s to be expected given its proximity to Oxford street.

Gorgeous place to eat - Edit
This is one of the best vegan/veggie restaurants in London. Easily. The food is incredible, most of it is vegan apart from a few dishes that have cheese. Highly recommend trying the discovery menu.

Sunday lunch - Edit
We had the Discovery Menu for Sunday lunch which included a set menu of 4 courses. The food was quite rich and I struggled to finish everything but the flavours were lovely. The service and ambience is also great.

Gorgeous spot, very vegan friendly - Edit
Loved the vibe here - a spot of coziness in the slightly overwhelming area of Oxford Circus. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff were warm and attentive.

Mixed feelings - Edit
Between three of us we tried the tasting menu plus some dishes from the a la carte menu. Portion sizes were random, some extremely small. The first round of the tasting menu was probably the best, everything thereafter failed to have as great an impact. Our meal turned out to be very expensive but I do appreciate that they don’t rely on meat analogues.

Beautiful new menu - Edit
The team have continued to work on their new menu and the dishes have got better and better. Pak choi, mushrooms and aubergine were our favourites. The owner also came out to say hello which was a nice touch.

Poor customer service and underwhelming food - Edit
I had the 7 course tasting menu and was rather disappointed. Many of the dishes lacked any flavour which salt and pepper could have fixed. The atmosphere very pretentious and the staff didn't even tell us what dishes we were eating. I enjoyed the wine selection and a few dishes and I liked the creativity of some of the vegetables and flavour combinations (idk which ones because they didn't tell us 😅). If you want a great vegan tasting menu, go to Naifs!

Amazing - Edit
Some of the best food I’ve had in London! I can really recommend the white bean dip and the crispy beetroot bao, as well as the salted caramel chocolate mousse desert, which were all to die for. The smokey aubergine starter and the blackened cauliflower were also really good, and my parents enjoyed the non-vegan truffle brie.
Read moreI also love that they label the non-vegan options instead of the usual other way around. Gluten free options are also clearly marked. The prices are fair in my opinion, and I love that you can choose from small or large plates.
Sadly, there was no coffee machine, but they did offer to run to a close-by Pret a Manger to get us some, so great service!
Pros: Mostly vegan options, Extremely tasty, Fair prices
Cons: No coffee machine, The back tables are situated a bit dark

Vegan-friendly, small portions - Edit
Most dishes vegan, tasty quality food, yet portions way too small given the prices. Kids menu is just same as main menu, dishes not really what children like. Friendly service.

Lovely meal - Edit
Had a great meal here, everything was delicious and they were very accommodating of my friend’s slightly niche intolerance (I had informed them beforehand). The tasting menu was reasonably priced. My only wish was that there had been slightly more food, even if that was just more bread — several people were still a bit hungry, which shouldn’t be the case after 5 courses!

Innovative, well-priced 90%+ vegan - Edit
Went here with my vegan partner, we both absolutely loved it.
Read moreI loved the beetroot bao the most, I’ve had hundreds of baos in Asia / London and this was my favourite! We also loved the orange crème brûlée dessert.
The dessert menu was all vegan and there were so many options, it was very well priced for the effort that went in (£6.50 for the crème brûlée).
We will definitely be back, flavours tasted like a Michelin starred vegan place we have been to before. We also loved tasting innovative dishes
Pros: New flavours , Inspiration from various cuisines , Well-priced

Tasteful in every sense of the word - Edit
Went last night for the first time. It won’t be the last. Had the tasting menu at the early evening reduced price which was really good value and allowed plenty of time to get to the theatre. Loved most courses and enjoyed all but the one they substituted to accommodate my allergies. Sophisticated food, with sometimes unusual combinations, served quickly by waiters who make you feel welcome, in a space that’s has a simple downplayed elegance and is very comfortable and cosy without being overcrowded.
