20% tasty - 80% untasty world

Been there in hope for a good meal but so much stuff sucked. While I did my order, the lady just stoped listening to me and began to talk with a co-worker. When she turned her head to me there was no: "sorry" or something. Workers did not use gloves after handling with tons of stuff that has nothing to do with food. One worker fixed a mashine at a table where people where supposed to eat. Floor was dirty. Seats where damaged. The whole place looked like...that the best years are over. They try to look green, colourful and organic - but they serve plasic cups, plastic forks n knives and other plastic stuff. The food was not that good, of course. We where really disappointed - and will never go there again.

Pros: vegetarian food

Cons: plastic, old and dirty, unfriendly service

Great vegan burger

Had a quick lunch at this burger juice bar. Only 2 vegan burgers hazlenut with chilli sauce and rice with vegan mayo. The only vegan roll is the white one which is clearly labelled. Great smoothies juices and shakes all can be made with soya milk on request. No vegan desserts only ben abd jerries icecream which is annoying! Still well worth a visit.

Pros: Tasty crispy burger, Helpful onstaff

Cons: Only 2 vegan burgers, No vegan desserts

Amazing burger!

Ate in both (?) the Tasty world cafes in Ghent, for an inexpensive quick meal they are awesome.
The Winterburger was one of the tastiest veggie burgers I have ever eaten, nutty and delicious on a wholegrain bun, if I remember right it was one of the vegan burgers.
The world needs more veggie fast food joints like this!

Pros: tasty, inexpensive, great locations

Love Tasty World

Love their vegan burgers, although can add more variety Combination of their juices need to be varied a bit by adding more green juice and reduce 'sweet'juices combo.

Pros: Nice and bright indoor ambience, Tasty vegan burger, Inexpensive

Cons: Less sweet fruity juices

Vegan Burgers in non-vegan bread

Simple fast food bar with burgers etc. They offer two "vegan" burgers; I almost didn't ask whether the bread was vegan but when I did I was told that the burger was vegan but the bread wasn't (!). Fair play to the staff for knowing and saying, but very poor of the resaurant - I think a vegan ordering a "vegan" burger which is served by default in bread, has a right to assume that the product marketed as vegan is vegan. Lots of other vegan choices in Ghent, so it was easy to go elsewhere - and the store looked clean and probably very nice for vegetarians.

Cons: Misleading use of vegan

Wow, thank's for telling! I actually ate many times by them and never thought they would do that.

Nice casual atmosphere for lunch or a snack

Tasty World is a small cafe, that has the decor of a chain store juice bar. They offer fresh juices, and have a small selection of burgers, hot dogs and a daily soup. I enjoyed a healthy vegan burger and a green vege soup. The soup in particular was very nice. The staff were helpful, and the food tasted fresh and was prepared very quickly.

Pros: In the centre of Ghent, Quick, Casual

Cons: Limited vegan selection

Hot Dog

I was very astonished about the taste, cause I thought at the first moment that it was meat they served. I had the impression that this hot dog tasted like a "normal" hot dog (it's over 35 years that I've eaten my last hot dog). And for 3 € it was not expensive at all.

Pros: friendly, good taste, nice atmosphere

Cons: -

My Favorite Resto in Gent!

I go to tasty world whenever I'm in Gent- really delicious and interesting veggie burgers (and 'hot dogs'), plus a nice range of teas, smoothies, and other beverages.

Pros: Delicious food, nice selection

Cons: Drinks are pricey

Tasty but pricey

As a vegan there were only a select few choices you can pick from maybe about 30% or less were vegan food wise, however this is one of the few places you can find soymilk in Gent.

When I first got to the store I found the girl behind the desk could only vaguely speak English and had to ask the help of another customer to translate, as someone who has recently moved here, this was my first encounter with someone in a shop who couldn't speak enough English to communicate an order.

I ordered a burger and a milkshake, the burger was reasonably priced and good but the milkshake was actually a smoothie, whilst it tasted good it was quite a small serve, though maked as a medium and cost me the same amount as the burger.

It was good for a quick meal but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back there again. There are better vegan options in Gent.

Pros: reasonable burgers

Cons: pricey drinks, few vegan options

Yummmmmmmmm

Ughh, this place has the best burgers ever.
It was only slightly busy when we went, but the food was still quite a wait because only one person was cooking/taking orders. No matter, the wait was worth it. The menu isn't huge, but it doesn't need to be since they've perfected the veggie burger.
The price is right too!

Pros: inexpensive, amazing burgers, good smoothies

Cons: a little slow

Great Food

I found it really difficult to get good vegan food in Ghent and was delighted to find Tasty World. The burgers are delicious and come with loads of salad. The staff are friendly and are happy to explain what is suitable for vegans.

Pros: Good food, Good Value, Friendly Staff

Tasty indeed!

I went to Tasty World twice when visiting Ghent this summer. The first time I was there, I ordered the "burger salad". It was really tasty, with several miniature burgers in it. :) I can't eat bread, so sadly I couldn't try the burgers, but my boyfriend said they were great. I tried two different smoothies, both were really good. The staff speaks perfect English. Avoid the lunch-rush. Many people go there during lunch (11-13-ish) to have burgers and smoothies, it was a long wait. They even forgot all about me, and left my smoothie in the fridge until I came over to ask if it was finished... But all in all, I liked Tasty World, and when I come back to Ghent some day, I'll be back.

Pros: Huge selection, Good value, Friendly staff

Cons: Gets busy during lunch hours

Awesome Fast Food!

We were in Gent for the weekend and were super impressed with Tasty World! Awesome choices in burgers and the milkshakes (which can be made with soymilk) were incredible! This place is a chain restaurant, so I'm wondering why the concept hasn't spread. I'd love to see this place in Utrecht (the Netherlands), where I live, which is a city very similar to Gent in terms of being a student town.

Pros: fresh, friendly staff, filling burgers!

Cons: only 3 vegan burgers

Yummy burgers and juices

Tasty World has a very wide selection of veggie burgers: 14 different burgers, 3 of which are vegan. My favourite is the rice burger ("veggie") with vegan mayonnaise. My girlfriend prefers the hazelnut one ("winterburger"). They come with lots of fresh vegetables, and you should ask for the brown bread (€0.50 extra, but worth it). They also have a whole bunch of different juices. I would suggest you try the Neos. I've been going there almost weekly for several years now, and still not tired of it!

Pros: good selection, friendly staff, lots of vegetables

Cons: can get noisy inside
