Can get expensive, but I loved everything. It's so inventive how they make sushi-like stuff that tastes fresh and not like processed vegan meats. Fun place. Need to go back!

I brought my non-vegan family here and there were amazed at how delicious everything was! We sampled a bunch of speciality rolls and they are all great. The Wedge and Ewe were my favorites. I liked the gyoza but I’d probably skip next time. The bao was super delicious. We got a somewhat pricy cheesecake too but it was delicious. Everything was beautifully presented. So happy I got to visit.

I loved the dinner at Tane Vegan Izakaya! They have a very versatile and creative sushi menu as well as a good selection of drinks plus great service and a lovely ambiente. Finally a restaurant in Hawaii were you don't muss out on anything as vegan

The food was all so amazing. Some signature dishes you won't find elsewhere. So hard to choose, we asked our server and took suggestions, so glad we did. Meat eaters would be happy here, anyone would be unless they're truly unhappy people.

Every dish we tried was phenomenal. The dimension of flavors was incredible. We sat at the sushi bar and it was fun to see everything being made! Keep in mind they are closed on Sundays and Mondays so plan your vacation accordingly. Aloha! #Veganuary

With not a huge love for sushi and a sore in my mouth I didn’t enjoy the experience as the other people in my party. the food was good. especially the taste and texture of everything. would recommend the wedge and pacifica specialty rolls, along with the gyoza and the cheesecake. would come here again hopefully with no mouth pain!

when visited Tane it was almost empty and in less than twenty minutes got packed! Had the Half Moon plate which was good, not sth I’ll never forget though. It’s fried which isn’t mentioned in the menu. Costs 18$. Had a Riesling (15$), which was brought being already in the glass rather than being poured from the bottle on my presence. Employees were gentle, while no doubt overall food is artsy and instagramable.

The ramen was light not heavy on oils with the right amount of veggies and noodles. The specialty rolls were outstanding all were amazing but the one that stood out the most was leahi roll earthy, light and refreshing.

It's hip, modern, with nice moody atmosphere
Best Japanese sushi rolls and ramen! Everything was super good and it's rare to come across a ramen that isn't super heavy or greasy yet still tasty.
Not a fan of the bao bun here the bread was dry and crumbled and just simply not a fan of the fake meats in general although it did taste really good I probably wouldn't get it again.
Other than that it was so good we came back the next day and the place was closed without notice.
There were 10 other ppl waiting outside ready for their reservation yet no sign of it being open. for the next couple of days we tried again since we really wanted to eat here and the closed sign was still up
It was a big bummer since ppl were still showing up for their reservations.
Not sure when I'll be back in Hawaii but so far this is the #1 vegan Japanese restaurant ive tried.

My husband and I went here on our honeymoon and we’re blown away by the food! Everything we ordered was amazing, staff was super friendly and you must end the night with the cheese cake! It was heavenly!!

We made a reservation on yelp and everything. Once we showed up, we saw it was closed. Called and the VM confirmed it should be open T-Sat 4:30-9p and it sure wasn’t. Two cars showed up behind us also disappointed while we all googled a new place for date night.

They did post on insta that they would be closed 9-16 October. They posted it a week prior to their close date. It is super annoying that they forgot to shut off yelp 😬 I’ve noticed every place in Hawaii updates Instagram better than anything & there are sooo many places that close without warning 🫠

Had dinner here last night with my omni partner. Seated quickly though the space filled up shortly after (consider making a reservation). Everyone was kind and helpful navigating the menu. We ordered beet salad, gyoza, avocado nigiri, philly roll their specialty rolls The Wedge and Pacifica. Everything was absolutely delicious!
