Good, I just wish… - Edit
Vegan and gluten free weren’t so often combined. I understand that is this cafe’s story, and the breakfast sammie was very good. Would have been great if it had been on wheat bread.

Super cute! - Edit
Passing through Missoula and had to stop here. Really charming spot. I had a grilled cheese with coconut bacon potatoes, my partner had the French toast - both were so good, especially after a long day of driving! We had a lemon donut after that was flavorful and a really nice cake-y texture. I'm glad we had a chance to stop in and have a great meal.

Decent menu selection - Edit
Cute, funky atmosphere. My husband got the original breakfast Sammie, and I had a large Caesar salad with grilled tofu. The Sammie was kinda small - hubby was still hungry afterward. My salad was plenty big and very tasty, though I would have liked to see more variety with the greens. We also shared a jackfruit empanada and a berry muffin. Both were excellent. Glad to have found this place while driving through Missoula, on the way home from Glacier National Park.
Read morePros: Good flavor profile, not bland, Salad was filling, Berry muffin was very moist

Vegan Cafe - Edit
We stopped in to get coffee and check out their vegan baked goods. Sadly we found they were already sold out of almost everything when we arrived around 11. We did order coffee and stayed to check the place out and enjoy the outdoor seating.

Get the French toast! - Edit
I am not a HUGE fan of gluten free food, but this place does it well. Especially the French toast! The brown sugar pop tart was also a real treat.

Get the pop tart! - Edit
I really enjoyed this place, I got like one of everything. We split the biscuits and gravy and the breakfast Sammie. The biscuits were really good, I usually hate gluten free stuff cause I don’t need that but it was great. I got a pop tart “Togo” and ate it there it never had a chance. They are doing something good here

Great vegan cafe - Edit
Casual cafe, order at counter with seating. Had a cocoa and home made pop tarts, which were pretty good. Vegan breakfast and lunch menu. Can't wait to go back for biscuits and gravy.

Bullseye - Edit
Traveling through and found this amazing little place. We ordered 4 breakfast sandwiches with sides of potatoes & a plate of biscuits and gravy to share. Everything was perfection. My teenage daughter kept repeating “this is the best sandwich I’ve had in my life”. We left with a dozen pastries and a loaf of bread. How great is it that everything is delicious, vegan and gluten free?! Stop what you are doing and go there now! Don’t wait. You won’t regret it. We can’t wait to go back for more! #Veganuary

Great vibe and service - Edit
I stopped in here for a couple hours while on a road trip. I had an excellent chai latte and pastry while I wrote in my journal for a couple hours. Definitely will stop by again if I’m in Missoula.

Lunch stop - Edit
Stopped for lunch on our way from Bozeman to Spokane. Grateful for a vegan restaurant along the way!
Read moreThe BLT was pretty good. I appreciate gf bread being available, but I’m not a fan for myself. I liked how they chopped up the “bacun”, making it easier to eat. Would have liked more dressing.
Caprese pesto with the cheese was really good. Cheese is soft, not gooey.
Tomato soup was good with more of a blended tomatoes texture.
Garlicky greens were too wet and soft for me.
Try the kombucha on tap.
The parfait in the grab and go case was the best!!

Tandem is one of the best places to eat for breakfast spots here in Missoula hands down! It’s only 2 blocks from the university and has an adorable vintage clothes store next door which makes it even better. I recommend the House-made Granola bowl and their lattes!

I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy! (Glad I got there early on Saturday because they sold out quickly.) Also loved the kombucha. A good place for a traveler to bring a laptop, plug-in and relax. Good music.

Briskets and gravy (pop tart) - Edit
The briskets and gravy exceeded my wildest expectations and the pop tart was better than my ancient memories of the boxed ones I used to love as a kid. The reviews of the staff being cold or rude was not my experience. I found them to be friendly and better than average. Maybe when some people go to get a coffee and pastry they have some unreal expectations of college kids to fix their day. I would suggest ignoring those reviews.

Rude - Edit
I would reconsider who greets customers walking in. Never been here before and the guy at the counter was exceptionally unpleasant and rude. Customer service is a big deal to me when eating out. If your workers are rude, what does that say about your place. We won't be back.

I loved the donuts. It’s hard to find a gluten free and vegan donut. Usually I find one or the other. But all their donuts are both. The texture is like “regular“ donuts.
