Vegan Japanese dishes

I have tried many of the dishes and non of them have disappointed me. The food it is delicious, clean and beautifully presented.
The staff are very kind and smile a lot and the place very cosy...
If you order the Japanese green tea they give you a big cristal bottle and refiil it, when empty, with no extra charge.
The cakes are really good too...
Prices are reasonable, not cheap, quality-price...
Free wi-fi

Pros: Delicious food, Beautiful dishes, Good service

Cons: Have to wait a lot for the food if it is busy...

Decent food

All vegan sushi restaurant. Some menu items are never available, but what they do have is pretty good. Patient and well mannered staff.

Cute place!

Lovely place with friendly staff. Wish we hadn't a backpacker's budget cause we only tried some makis. It was really good :)

Recommand if you're on holidays, not travelling like us.
We paid RM22 for 12 makis and we were very hungry after that.
Hope we'll come back one day to try more :)

Absolutely Amazing!

Ok so first of all the coffee was the BEST COFFEE I’ve EVER had. And I love coffee!
I had the sushi set menu and ordered mushroom tempura as an appetiser.
Glad to see they use reusable chip sticks and promote a plant based diet😄
Loved the decor and traditionally Japanese style seating.
If I have time I’m definitely going back again. I thought it was very good value for money for what you get, and I was very full after.
The cake was delicious too!

Incredible food, wonderful staff!

If you’re a sushi fan, this is your place. Lots of variety and 100% vegan. I often find vegan sushi to be really hit or miss, with a lot of it tasting the same. Sushi Kitchen does a great job making sure they bring a variety of flavors and textures to the table. Easily the best sushi I’ve ever had, and my only complaint is that I would have preferred a little bit less mayo directly on the sushi itself and perhaps the rest served on the plate for dipping. But it’s a small complaint and everything was excellent nonetheless.

I ordered the RM39 set meal which included two pieces each of three different kinds of maki, two more different styles of sushi, a fairly large hand roll, and a dessert consisting of an oat milk cappuccino and a choice of cakes. I got the chocolate cake with a green tea mousse topped with shaved dark chocolate and it was easily one of the best cakes I’d ever had, vegan or otherwise.

I also had an appetizer (RM6) of enokitake mushroom tempura, a pretty large portion consisting of a few bundles of enokitake. I’d never had them before and I’m generally not a huge fan of mushrooms, but they were excellent and I highly encourage anyone who’s never had them to give them a try!

The staff were also just wonderful. My server spoke great and English, was incredibly polite and friendly, and wanted to know if I was vegan, for how long, and what my experience had been like traveling and being vegan. She seemed to be very proud of the food and the ingredients as well, explaining how the cake used flaxseed as an egg replacement and soy as the replacement for dairy and how everything was vegan including the mayo. It was already a five star meal, but her truly genuine politeness and friendliness made it a six star experience.

Excellent food. Great atmosphere.

We had deep fried mushrooms, big sushi set, fried udon noodles and chocolate cake with whipped soy cream and blueberry jam. Everything was delicious. I especially liked the sushi and cake.
The staff here is so friendly and professional. The prices are reasonable.

Top brand vegan establishment

Having already been to the Sushi Kitchen in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur we are assured of a great meal.

As ever the range of options is abundant. The Spice and Season inside out rolls were excellent, as was the Cinderella fried rice, and indeed the Miso Udon.

Friendly, relaxed and easygoing staff make it a very pleasant experience too.

Pros: Reasonably priced, Variety, Healthy

Homelike atmosphere

I love this place from food, music, location, staff and authentic homey atmosphere. I had herbal tempeh, which was very nice both lettuce to bring saltyness down. Wakame with lettuce and bit chilli were supertasty. Chinese herbal soup was sweet enough and very flavourful. Sushi is great, house wasabi and mayo is spot on, chef skills are very good and presentation beautifull. Serving staff is very helpful, nice and polite. Music very relaxing and price is very reasonable for quality of food they serve which is organic treaded with enzimes. Overall supernice experience.

Pros: Polite staff, Awesome great quality food, Great atmosphere

Stopped off for lunch and ordered the edamame rice and opted for brown rice. It was presented really nicely but I forgot to take a photo until I’d already started eating (this happens regularly!). It cost RM14 and was really filling; it was my favourite rice dish since arriving in Malaysia. I was also given two complimentary portions of sushi which was really good. I’d like to have tried some cake but I was too full from lunch so hopefully will be back to try the cake.

Pros: Loads of vegan options, Great food

Horrible smell

Due to a lack of ventilation, the place smells terrible. Not food smell but probably cooking smell, smell of oil goes rancid, which ruins appetite. Food is alright and quite affordable

Delicious!

A little pricier than many of the vegetarian/vegan places in George Town but still only 55 RM for two mains, a sharing sushi platter and two drinks. Worth the extra money as it tasted amazing, was of high quality, and one of the more healthy options in the area. Staff were lovely also.
