I am highly disappointed in the quality of service i received from the owner here. She was very angry she has to provide water for her costumers paying for $13 carb loaded “healthy” sandwiches There aren’t options at all and what they do have isn’t even that healthy. The veggies come from a bag the way they are cut you are able to tell. $4 for a small cup.

Read moreI am the owner of Supernova vegan. I just discovered this review and I am devastated and shocked to discover that you ever had any issue at all getting water from our cart! During the hot months we do keep water inside the fridge and so sometimes you do have to ask but we would never take issue with that or get “angry”. I would really like to believe that this was a misunderstanding. If that was your experience it certainly wasn’t me and if I knew who it was, it would be very seriously addressed immediately. br />
In addition, we do cut our fresh organic vegetables by hand and nowhere on our menu do we call our sandwiches healthy or claim to be a health food establishment. I’m not sure where the “healthy” reference comes from. br />
Being vegan or plant based in no way requires or suggests a menu is healthy. Being vegan is something unique for everyone. Vegans deserve to eat comfort food just like anyone else. If you are attempting to avoid carbs we are more than happy to accommodate with other options. If those options are not satisfactory for your dietary needs then perhaps we just aren’t the best fit for you but that shouldn’t reflect negatively on our menu that many people in the community truly enjoy. br />
We work very hard to ensure that everything we put out at Supernova is worthy of the hard earned money our patrons spend here and if ever you feel that hasn’t happened I take that very seriously and welcome the opportunity to improve and do better as well as compensate you or replace the meal you were dissatisfied with. br />

Second time eating here and had to get the Elotes Burrito again— SO good. We also tried the Space Cowboy sandwich, which was also top notch. Already looking forward to eating here again

Read moreThe “fish” tacos were made with a tempura batter that gave the perfect texture that is sometimes missing in tofu tacos. I ate both tacos in an embarrassingly fast time because they were so good.
The South Star Mac has bbq tempeh on it. I kept giving tempeh a try (because aren’t all vegans supposed to like tempeh?), but I always end up hating it. This time the flavor was so good that I didn’t even notice the texture (which is usually what throws me off with tempeh). The Mac itself is definitely in my top 5 vegan mac and cheese. Not fancy about it, it’s just damn good. As mac and cheese should be.

All about that elote burrito! Wow, it’s delicious and massive! Mac n cheese wasn’t that great. Tasted like pure nutritional yeast. The addition of chao in it is good, but still too much nooch. The hours are also a bit frustrating when you have a craving, but then you remember their odd hours. Overall, get yourself over here and order some food, it’s fantastic!

Maybe one of the best vegan Mac N Cheese in town, phenomenal “fish” tacos, and so much more! The owner has been nothing but sweet and cool with me and my partner, FYI. Maybe because we both are nice people that treat everyone with kindness and compassion.

Unexpected hostility - Edit
Merely asking kindly about food allergies made these people turn very hostile and they refused us service. Sadly, my kid was given food in a separate order. Sadly because what he got looked like an accident that one would scrape off the street. I told him he did not have to eat it. Seriously, how do they do biz like this, between the lack of quality and the blatant hostility, I will never know. Maybe if we here had a higher standard and expected more from people regarding our food quality and the manner in which they are educated about its content we can stop other vegans from being exposed to this.

The fish tacos are amazing! I go there all the time and just get that cause I’m too in love to try anything else. Get with house made sauces on the side! You will not regret it. Comes with mango salsa and perfectly fried tofu. Yes.

Ohhhhhhhh, I am so going back. Cute little cart, not too hard to find. Love the tables they have for guests to sit at. Very inviting. Ladies were hard at work! The menu is small but the options all sounded delicious and were diverse from elotes to thai sandwich. Staff was friendly and took good care of me today. My partner and I got the faux fish tacos and the elotes. Now I need to preface this by saying that we are both from Southern California where the Mexican food is poppin’. I am a very recent vegan and can still say I know what good fish tacos are. Easily one of my favorite past meals. Well let me tell you....those tacos are THE BOMB. So good. I’m literally getting hungry again just thinking about them. I don’t even miss fish tacos, those were amazing. 13/10 would buy again. And don’t get me started on those friggin’ elotes. More like eloYES. (Please excuse my crappy jokes, I can’t help myself). My only complaint for the elotes is that there isn’t more. Because even after that big container of them, I was still left starving for more. Sooooooo good. Prices are a bit high, but seemed well worth it for the amount of food, the quality and the quantity. I do see the point a previous comment made about carb heavy meals, but that’s why you wouldn’t eat here 5 days a week 😉 and you could always ask for a side of veggies instead of the beans and rice.

Nice staff serving reasonably priced all vegan food. Their tempeh based sandwiches were delicious from the sauces, slaws and bread itself. Street parking and in a very small pod with limited seating but still worth it! I recommend the Space Cowboy on their menu.
