5 of 5 stars for their appetizers and dinner - Mac and Cheese was delicious and their Basil Pesto Pasta with Broccoli was amazing! Great staff with thoughtful recommendations. Unfortunately, while their cheesecakes had great flavor, I felt like I was eating forkfuls of coconut oil due to their use of it in the recipe. Texture was a huge miss for me and thus not worth the cost of the dessert. That’s why I gave them 4 stars overall. Having said that, this place is definitely worth a visit for their non-dessert options! I’d go again given the opportunity.

We received our food shortly after we ordered. The Caesar Salad includes Romaine lettuce, tomatoes (which I omitted), Follow Your Heart Parmesan, pumpkin seeds, pecan/garlic crumble, and gluten-free croutons, tossed in Caesar dressing. The dressing was good, but there was too much. The onion rings were perfectly crispy.

Read moreHuge menu that covers all kinds of cuisines. I got the fettucine alfredo with daring chicken and my friend got the chicken pot pie with mashed potatoes. We also got the mini mac'n'cheese to share.
Not super cheap but everything was delicious and there was a lot of food for the money, we were both stuffed. This felt like comfort food where you don't feel like you're sacrificing by not eating meat. They do have sandwiches and salads too.
I would definitely come back and try more of their huge menu!

Everything was so delicious. I got the breakfast platter, the portions were huge and so good. My husband got the omelet and he says it was the most flavorful delicious omelet he's ever had.

Ordered the Sun Breakfast Plate and shared the vegan onion rings. Then ordered the Buffalo Vegan Chicken Sandwich to go. All dishes had several options so you could customize. I got the French toast, sausage for breakfast and the mashed potatoes and gravy as my side for takeaway. I got a cappuccino with oat milk no sweetener. Everything was good. The French Toast was exceptional and the onion rings were a close second. I posted this before trying the sandwich.

First of all I do have to say they have nailed the food! I don't really know what's in it so I can't really gauge how "healthy" it is. It might be more of a vegan indulgence depending of course, on what you order. No way of knowing how much sugar, fat/oil/vegan butter, salt is used. That being said the food is truly yummy! Try the Ruben with mashed potatoes and gravy. Took a slice of the pumpkin pie home for later. I'll let you know. EDIT: very rich and very delicious!
Read moreThe only negative thing I will say is that the waitstaff seemed a bit untrained, inexperienced and disorganized. I could give several examples but it basically comes down to working harder and not smarter - resulting in customers waiting to be sat, pay and not getting checkups, menus, silverware or refills. Luckily I wasn't in a hurry and there were no issues with my order. Other than that, everyone and everything was perfectly lovely.

SunCafe has a lot of raw vegan choices as well as cooked vegan fare. They have both raw and regular vegan versions of lasagna .I often get the raw colossal kale salad, but have had everything from the amazing lentil loaf with mashed potatoes and gravy to nachos to the winter Ramen. Oh so delicious.

Just adding a couple more photos as we are here at brunch and we are served by manager server Emily who is always so professional and nice and helpful. Chandler got the son breakfast plate with waffles and sausage and I got an omelette with Caesar salad and it was all delicious.  They finally have lattes. Management has changed and now it is a more of a larger chain type place but I have not noticed that there is a difference in the food.

Wy wife and I drove from Wildomar, CA for our first eperience at Sun Cafe. This Lunch was on the ocassion of my cousin's 75fth Birthday. There were eight of us. Suns's Menue is so comprehensive that they have to have a separate breakfast menue [served all day]! I ordered the Wet Burrito, and linda selected the do-it-yourself Omelet [both pictured]. My cousin ordered the wonderful Lentil Loaf; and another had the Thai Mandarin Salad. Brother Bill got the Pot Pie w Salad. Everyone was very happy; not ony with the quality Sun Cafe's food. The warm environment at Sun is conduvive for pleasant conversation which spanned almost 2 hours! The staff is exceptional. Please note the unbelievable desert selection. Not many breakfast options around so when I saw that they had so many options I decided to go here. I got the breakfast plate with just egg, bacon, French toast, and hashbrowns (though I was given roasted potatoes instead of hashbrowns👎🏻). Plate cost over $26 and was way overpriced. Food was good but bacon needed to be more crispy. French toast was the best thing. I also asked for ketchup and syrup in the bag and upon pickup I needed to ask again because they weren’t in the bag. Ambiance was really cute though.

Lots of raw vegan dishes. Only rating based off what I've tried. Which was the truffle pizza & apparently not even one of the more popular choices. The seasonal menu keeps it interesting, although the menu already has so many great options that it's difficult what to choose. There's noticably love from the head chef here. Friendly service & a great spot to remember how LA hipster vibes feels like.

I tried the Mac and Cheese and the Blueberry Cheesecake. The Blueberry Cheesecake was delicious, it's a beautiful purple color with fresh blueberries layered in the middle. The Mac and Cheese was interesting, in terms of taste it was decent but the top baked layer was a bit hard and rubbery. I agree with many of the past reviews that certain items need more work. None of their raw entrees stood out to me enough considering how expensive they were, but I'd definitely come back here in the future to try out more menu items!

I didn't know what to expect before visiting SunCafe, but it blew my mind, everything was really good and in very good sized portions. Has many GF options (the bread on the ciabatta for the avo toast is GF) and the menu had plenty of good choices, I really want to return here to try more dishes. So all in all I totally recomment Sun Cafe.
