Delicious tamales - Edit
When I became vegan I thought I won't have great tamales ever again. I was wrong! In this small and cozy restaurant I got very delicious variations of tamales. Mole, rajas, lentejas, frijoles and chaya. If you are vegan and visiting Tulum, definitely check this place out!

Super delicious! - Edit
The tamales were wonderful, and the salsas were a great pairing. We were served a fresh onion salsa after watching it be made. I almost never add fresh onion to my food but took a chance and did with the tamale and I am so glad that I did. It was perfect! Thank you!

Haven’t been able to taste their famous tamales - Edit
We went here twice. On Saturday afternoon they were already closing when we arrived because they were out of all their food. On sundays they are closed anyways. Because they told us they run out of their tamales very quickly, we came here on Monday for lunch. But it turned out they didn’t have any yet. “Maybe in three hours”. No, thanks. I won’t be coming back here.

We were recommended to go here, we finally were able to try these amazing tamales on our last day. We would have gone several times but their hours are not consistent with what was posted on Facebook/ google maps.

Yum yum yum!! - Edit
Delicious authentic food, lovely people and great prices. We tried the tamale of the day and the sopes, a fruit water, coffee, cake (carrot with yummy icing) and the ice cream (real fruit). Everything we ordered was so flavoursome and tasted like it was made from high quality ingredients. Best Mexican we have ever had!

Sabor 100% real - Edit

Their menu is tasty, healthy and simple. Everything is done there fresh every day. Their seasonal cakes are amazing. They gave me a tour to the back of their restaurant and they grow a lot of herbs on their backyard. They are working on great projects, stay tuned!

Fantastic and affordable - Edit
Having tried good vegan tamales in Mexico City, finding Suculenta in Tulum was a total delight. The tamales are delicious and very cheap. Perfect vegan reprieve from the overpriced, mediocre (at best) food of Tulum's main drag. The agua del dia was ice cold and super refreshing.

Best Tamales!!!! - Edit
Tamales are my favorite food of all time and it’s not something that is easy to find in Vegan form, these are not only the best Vegan Tamales I’ve ever had but also the best Tamales I’ve ever had. Everyone there was so nice as well and they are super affordable. I not only bought extra to take with me after eating my first 2 but went back the next day to get more before flying out. Can’t wait to go back!!!

They have different flavors ! Not always the same. I had the lentil one and it was simple yet flavour because you get salsa to put on the tamale. Salsa may be spicy!

Mouthwatering & Delectable Best-Kept-Secret in Tulum - Edit
I happened upon Suculenta only because I am staying at the hotel across the street and wanted something quick to eat and drink.
Read moreI had no idea my visit would ostensibly change my life by introducing hyper-healthy vegan items that mesmerized and satisfied my palate! The food at Suculenta is truly succulent. All natural, handmade vegan tamales topped with luscious and savory sauces and toasted seeds like sesame and pumpkin on chocolate mole, or salsa verde. Words cannot describe the symphony of flavors, temperatures and textures going here. This place is special. Something important is happening. Lives and hearts are being changed. You will be so very happy you visited, and after one bite you will be hooked; whether it is a black bean tamale with mole and pumpkin seeds, mango ice cream, or a black bean-banana chocolate brownie...your tastebuds will never be the same. You will CRAVE this food all day. You will digest your food more efficiently than ever. You will simply change your mind about how and what you have been eating in the past. You will make new friends. This place is heavenly. Suculenta is amazing and delicious. I love, love, love this place!
Pros: Delicious, Healthy, Inexpensive
Cons: Tucked away off the main road- need to really look
