Great food with a great mission - Edit
We were so excited to eat at Strecha tonight. The restaurant is large and bright. When we first entered we thought it was small, but the restaurant is in the shape of an L and has about three separate seating areas on the long arm. We sat in the very end room which had a couch with a low table and a chess set and a monopoly game. Our servers were very nice and spoke to us in English.
Read moreWe ordered the dumplings on red cabbage and the fried cheese with fries. It was great to get to try some traditional Czech dishes veganized. The food was delicious and the portions were generous - we sadly weren't able to finish our meals because we ran out of room.
We were happy to purchase a pending meal for someone in need.

So Satisfying - Edit
What a wonderful option to get to try traditional dishes, and while it’s been over a decade since I’ve had animal meat, I’d be surprised if this menu isn’t every bit as satisfying and delicious. I loved the ribs and onions and the salad was light and a perfect balance, and the bread and spread were fantastic too. Looking forward to to my next visit already!:)

What a lovely idea - Edit
The dumplings are incredible and very filling. The portion sizes are very big but very affordable. The staff are all very lovely and the decor is done well too. I do think they could do better at how the other plates looked as presentation I think is important. Overall was a lovely meal though and I would visit again for the same meal.

Cons: Presentation of food isn’t great , The fake meat they use doesn’t taste amazing

vegan Czech cuisine in a friendly pub-scenic atmosphere - Edit
My grandmother used to and still cooks a lot of Bohemian & Czech cuisine and I miss it a lot sometimes. This restaurant has given me back the taste and memories of it, at least for a moment. :)

Food is 5 stars but the service isn’t that good - Edit
The food is super tasty and even my non vegan friends really enjoyed it. It’s the best vegan food in Prague we had. But the service is slow and they don’t seem like they want to be here tbh.

Strecha stands on three pillars. One of them is social employment. People that work in Strecha might have experience with homeless life, prison sentence and others. That is why service might be little bit different than from other restaurants.

Super traditionell tschechisches Essen - Edit

Good food and atmosphere - Edit
A good place to stop for a decent meal that will fill your belly and warm your soul. The food isn't anything over the top fancy, but it's good comfort food, the portions aren't extremely big but we found them perfectly filling and very reasonable for the price. A very nice way to rest from our journey to Prague, try some Czech cuisine the vegan way and learn about the ways Střecha helps the local community. Highly recommend! It's easy to miss though since there wasn't clear signage outside so pay close attention.

Delicious Czech entrées - Edit
The restaurant itself was very cozy and welcoming. I tried the Czech style Gulasch for my main meal and Halusky as an appetizer. They were both really good! The service staff was helpful and kind. Thank you!

Highly recommended - Edit
A large venue, interesting decor. Staff were very friendly. Has a range of classic vegan cafe dishes (eg burgers) and also some Czech dishes. I had the scrambled egg, which was perfect. This was my first vegan schnitzel and I expected more, but the accompanying potato salad made up for it. Of the vegan places I went to on my weekend break, this was one of the best.

We had the chilli burger and the poutine with jackfruit, both were delicious! The venue has a very casual and cosy feel to it, a nice break away from the city. Good vegan options for Czech cuisine on the menu.

Must Go when in Prague!!!!! - Edit
This purely vegan restaurant is not only a fantastic social project, but it also serves amazingly delicious food. In our three days in Prague we came here two days in a row because the many options all sounded so interesting and if I could have tried them all I gladly would have. I can’t praise it highly enough. You must also try the cakes…. they are fantastic!

Nice food, nice place - Edit
Unique that the employers have or had social 'difficulties', so if you eat there, it's a kind of charity. Five stars for just that. But the food is very tasty, and a pmace has a good atmosphere. And the U Fleku is just some meters from there ;)

Need to give a 2nd chance - Edit
When arriving in Prague after a long journey, I was happy to find this place still serving food after 21:00 near to my accommodation. The interior feels more like a café than a restaurant to me. I had the dumplings, which were really tasteless; Only the red cabbage added some flavor, but it was too sweet too.
