Range of Options. Nice Location. - Edit
Quick a few vegan options at this cafe. I had the vegetable crunch and a cauliflower soup. Both were extremely flavorful. Definitely want to come back and try other options like the Tempeh Burger and Burrito

Love this old school place - Edit
I really enjoy this place. Sort of old school vegetarian style but does have some meat on the menu. They can make anything vegan. I like the Tempeh Burger (ask for vegan options) and the tofu bowl. Fresh juices are awesome. The staff is really nice and helpful even coming out to ask us about options while preparing our food.

really nice place with a lot of vegan options - Edit
I really like this place. They serve meat, but you can make vegan most of the options in the menu.
Read moreThey also make juices and smoothies. We had a juice of kale and orange (and probably something else) and it was really good.
For lunch, we had the Tempeh Burro and a Bagel with hummus. The tempeh burro was really good and the hummus home-made. We also had a soup (“African peanut”); all the soups are vegan.
Everything tasted amazing and “healthy”, and the staff was really nice.
I would recommend this place for sure

I love eating here! - Edit
Being born and raised from South Lake Tahoe this is hands down my favorite place for vegan food! Their bagels are vegan friendly if you want a sandwich, or their whole wheat tortillas! Anything can have vegan cheese added to it. Hands down my favorite thing is the rice bowl Cadillac!
Read morePros: Everything can be made vegan , The soups are always vegan and amazing!!!!!!, Outside is dog friendly!

nice cafe - Edit
Nice cafe with outdoor seating. They have soy and rice milk. Bagels, sandwiches, and bowls can be made vegan. They also have vegan soup. They were busy when we got there but they have many staffs so the service was pretty fast. It's also kids friendly (they have a small corner with kid toys inside).

Fantastic slew of options for vegetarians! - Edit
I love reading a menu and having lots of options rather than searching for the one veggie choice. Lots of healthy, delicious, meat-free food here. We've had nothing but great service on any of our visits and don't feel like we broke the bank feeding our family.

delish.. worth the drive - Edit
We were staying in North Lake Tahoe, drove an hour to South Lake Tahoe, had some delicious food, and were really happy campers!! 🙂 We got the Southwest Burger (no cheese) and the Crunchy Veggie Sandwich (subbed hummus for the honey mustard). The tortilla chips were amazing. Lovely lunch spot as we sat outside in the sun!!!

Delicious Food - Edit
I came here with my family, all with their own tastes and preferences. Everyone enjoyed their meals and were stoked with the place. I had the Cadillac Rice Bowl which was super flavorful. I'd recommend this place if you're in the area. Prices are also great!

Juice spectacular, food average - Edit
The juice here was amazing (beet zinger!!), and we had a really nice hot apple cider for the walk home.
Read moreThe food was good, and the staff were very knowledgable about to to make different menu options vegan (ex: can sub vegan cheese or tofu for eggs in any breakfast dish). I ate here twice during my stay. For dinner I had the tempeh burger, which was great! For breakfast I had a breakfast burrito with vegan cheese and tofu instead of egg. This was not super good. It was not actually wrapped like a burrito and wasn't super hot.
Overall, this place is great for having many different options for vegans, and the food is solid, if not outstanding.

Great vegan burgers - Edit
People told me that the Seitan burger was Great so I stop by to give it a try. When I told him I was vegan they had a very established format for converting the dish into pure vegan been included altering the bread choice and replacing the honey Dijon mustard.

They know their stuff and the food is delicious.

Good Food and Good Prices - Edit
Delicious smoothies. Large menu with a lot of options. Some items contain meat, and a lot of options contain cheese, but they are happy to make substitutions.
Read moreI ordered a Tempeh Burger and asked them not to add the cheese. They were proactive enough to ask if I wanted it fully vegan and proceeded to remove the honey mustard, which I hadn't even realized was part of the dish. They also asked if I wanted vegan cheese as a substitution.
The food was very good, and the prices were more than reasonable. Friendly staff also.
My only problem was that they didn't accept credit or debit cards. Thankfully they do have an ATM onsite.
Pros: Variety, Price
Cons: Cash or Check Only

Good Food - Edit
Stopped in here on recent trip to Tahoe and had dinner. Food was good but assume since we are Vegan the cheese that comes on most dishes is what really lends the flavor. I would eat there again but it just didnt quite live up to many other Vegan places I have eaten.

Worth the drive - Edit
Coming from the Vegan wasteland of Reno, my wife and I were overjoyed to discover this fresh and upbeat little berg. The staff is friendly and vibrant. Couldn't get a tempeh burger, however, as on both occasions we visited, they had not found a new supplier. Wife isn't Vegan, but raved about her carcass burger. The food was excellent as were the drinks. The Vegan Black Bean soup was so good (a side came with my order) that after finishing our meal, we both ordered a full bowl.

The people at Sprouts are very friendly. i had their hummus and couscous taco - it was so different from anything i have ever had before, and was so yummy! i also tried their chili which was delicious. The only downside was that the restaurant isn't completely vegetarian. However, they are very accommodating to vegans and vegetarians. i love this place and will be back again!!

Delicious, Fresh Food in Folksy Type Restaurant - Edit
Enjoyed a tempeh burger piled high with raw veggies like shredded carrots, purple cabbage. onions. Imbibed on a peach smoothie, which was terrific. Order at the counter. Help friendly. Casual place. Not a busy season but quite filled with others who appreciate healthful cuisine. Friends had a stuffed burrito and mushroom burger. All were happy and would come back.

Yummy Food, Too Bad It's Not Organic - Edit
I enjoyed eating here! The carrot-ginger juice was awesome, and the veggie burger rocked my husband's world.
Read moreI was disappointed that none of the food is organic, however. I could tell the difference between the salad I had here and the one I had at Freshies. The tomatoes were flavorless.
Still, with the lack of many other choices, you could do a lot worse than this place. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is upbeat.
Pros: friendly staff, good value
