I will miss the downtown Dallas location - always a great spot to meet with friends. Comfy, cozy, and lots of natural light.

Yes yes yes! It’s a must! - Edit
You can tell that most items are made fresh and are special to the restaurant. It’s a bit expensive but totally worth it. And the staff is beyond nice and friendly. Glad I stopped in and I would come again in a heartbeat.

Delicious food - Edit
Ordered bacon burger with potato salad and a gf pancake and side of tofu scramble. The pancake was flavorful tasting like there was cinnamon in it. They do not have maple syrup though- only agave. Tofu scramble was very tasty and flavorful. The burger was great- super filling.

A must visit for DFW vegans - Edit
Spiral must be the most well-known vegan restaurant in Dallas. There is also a Denton location. I highly recommend the nachos - it’s difficult for me to stray from them even while all the options! Downside is that this is a popular place and parking can be finicky. Also beware that the dining room will be full if you go during lunch or dinner.

Great vegan restaurant but would have been better not near closing time - Edit
Made a reservation here for 8.30pm and I came in earlier and saw they were closing at 9 due to low staff.
Read moreIt took about 5-10 minutes from when I got seated to order my food. After that it was 8:45 when I got served my dinner. I had a taco salad and home fries. It was so delicious although I’d say the fries are more like potato gems than traditional French fries.
I felt a little rushed to eat and get out by closing time but the food was really good.
Pros: 100% vegan menu , Great range of different food, Delicious southern food that was all vegan
Cons: Felt rushed to eat, Wished the fries were French fries

New Favorite Restaurant / Diner - Edit
I got the fajita quesadilla with a side of home fries! I LOVED the veggies inside and my boyfriend got the patty melt with a Beyond Patty (i wish he got the classic burger patty they make homemade so we could’ve tried something new, but we will go back!). We are recent vegans and going to this restaurant and seeing all of our old favorites was HEAVEN💗🌱 The service was great and i loved the diner atmosphere. Also food 10/10.

Vegans must not miss this! - Edit
Just occasionally, you come across something so perfect you can't explain. For us, this was it! Lovely friendly staff and an absolutely huge menu. We went 3 times in 4 days, twice for dinner and once for breakfast and everything was simply delicious. If you're a fan of simple but delicious food, big portions, lots of choice, and guaranteed quality, then visit!! For dinner we walked in both times, and for breakfast/brunch on Saturday we had a small wait of 15 minutes. No complicated booking systems - just walk in. As someone else also mentioned, it's just opposite the Lee Harvey Oswald boarding house which is cool. We've moved on from Dallas now and already miss Spiral!

Plenty to choose from - Edit
I wasn’t blown away by the food here but that certainly doesn’t mean I wouldn’t return. I love biscuits and gravy so naturally I had to order that regardless that it was dinner time. I also ordered the lumber Jack and a pancake just to try different things. The pancake was good. Had a cinnamon taste that I feel went well with it. I also enjoyed the tofu scramble and bacon. The sausage patty wasn’t really good to me or was the biscuits and gravy.

Spiral Diner never disappoints! Every time I come to Dallas or Ft Worth, I have to go eat here. I always end up getting a to go order as well for lunch the next day. The food is amazing! Even my nonveg family and friends whom have gone with me likes it. I really need a spiral diner in Austin area! #Veganuary

A charming little diner - Edit
I'd first heard about Spiral Diner years ago and knew I'd have to visit if I ever got to Dallas. It's an unassuming little building, but inside is a large, airy space. If biscuits and gravy are on the menu at a vegan place, I have to have them. The biscuits here were really dense and crunchy but still pretty good. My boyfriend got a breakfast taco that was very light and tasty. We also got home fries because, again, you gotta have them. The service was friendly, if a tad slow (but then they were busy).
