Great Ambiance; Must be a Szechuan Lover - Edit
This place is all ambiance; the lighting, decor, and vibe hit you as soon as you walk in (even the washrooms are fun).
Read moreHowever, food wise, you must be into Szechuan cuisine. It seems as though the two main dishes are really dan dan noodles or ma po tofu. If you're not into those, the menu lags. The other dishes didnt look good or didnt come recommended. We ended up making a piecemeal meal by combining different buns and dumplings, and had the fried eggplant which was...a little too much. Too fried. Too salty. Not sure, but we werent yearning to finish it.
The food overall was good, but not enough to make me come back.
Pros: Decor, Good Szechuan cuisine, Multiple locations
Cons: Menu felt limited outside of core dishes, Noisy inside

No more Delightful steamed veggies - Edit
This spot is more like a club and bar atmosphere spot, i thought each one of them the menu and what they sell are different but the menu is actually the same for all locations
Read moreI saw the former posting picture and followed but the clerk said they don’t have Delightful steamed veggies anymore
And I think I order the wrong thing 😆😆😆 I was going to try dry pot because I saw a Chinese youtuber home made her dry pot looks so yummy 🤤 so wanna try but I forget to order 😆
It’s like you did so much homework but when you are on the spot you get nervous and forget everything 😆😆😆

Good Food, but Noisy - Edit
We had some great dishes - the Dan Dan Noodles were well made, the Crabfree Rangoon with guava puree was delicately delicious. the Salt & Pepper was totally fried, and the tofu and vegetables were hard to distinguish. The Red Bean Bun and Black Sesame Moon desserts were very nice - typical Chinatown fare but vegan. The drawback was the loud music, it was hard to converse. It seemed shortstaffed at the beginning.

It is like vegan TGI Friday - Edit
The food is good and place is cute. It is too loud of atmosphere to sit and talk. But the customer service is very good and plenty of food to choose.

Best Vegan Chinese! - Edit
A rare gourmet Vegan experience. Three of us tried a variety of appetizers and entrees. Everything tasted great. The different seasoning “styles” are not explained on the menu so ask your server. I loved garlic style.

There is lots to choose from, everything is vegan. The food looked very nice. My stir fried chili glass noodles were a bit on the greasy side.

Szechuan food 🤤 - Edit
If you love the taste of Szechuan you’ll LOVE this place! Get the kung pao dish!! This is my favorite restaurant and sooo underrated. I will say the spice level seems to differ at the various locations and imo the one in East Village has the mildest food. Oh I forgot also get the Brussels sprouts!!

Delicious Szechuan Style Food - Edit
Small and intimate restaurant that serves up Szechuan style Chinese food. Everything was really flavorful and well cooked. Mostly smaller plates and dishes to share family style. All vegan.

Great! - Edit
I always order the dan dan noodles, vegetable wontons in chili oil, and salt and pepper tofu. The Bowery location has ample seating like the the West Village location, and a lot more searing than the East Village location. I found the Bowery Spicy Moon to be quieter as well, with the West Village Spicy Moon being very loud.

Spicy Moon - Edit
I didn’t like it… I tried this location and one on the lower east side and didn’t like either of them. All the food I ordered seemed to be covered in loads of oil, even the veggie dishes I don’t like eating foods swimming in oil. I won’t be back. 🙁
