Read moreDie Burger an sich waren gut, aber schwer zu essen weil die Sauce überall herausgequollen ist. Von den Pattys war ich nicht begeistert, hatten weder tollen Geschmack noch tolle Konsistenz. Finde es cool dass es glutenfreie Optionen gibt, leider zahlt man da auf den teuren Burger nochmal Aufpreis drauf.
Die Beilage Pommes könnten um den Preis auch eine größere Portion sein.
Insgesamt war das essen ok aber der Preis zu hoch.

Read moreThe food was fine, it wasn’t really special. I mean, its a fast food burger restaurant, you expect it to be satisfying.
Unfortunately the music was so loud that it killed the whole experience a bit. Also the waiters seemed a bit uncoordinated. You have to stand in front of the cashier and he/she wont notice or welcome you until they’ve finished preparing everything for another order. The restaurant is also really small. So don’t expect to get a seating for more that 2 persons.
All in all, it was good food for hungry vegan travelers, but we don’t know if we would go there again on purpose.

Cons: Expensive, Very loud music, waiters are not that aware of you

Read moreDer Californian Star Burger war unglaublich. Der Geschmack erinnert fast perfekt an einen gegrillten Beefburger. Der einzige Unterschied zu diesem und einem Rinderpastetchen ist die Konsistenz - das Pastetchen ist hier viel weicher.
Das Personal war freundlich, die Musik war gut und die Atmosphäre insgesamt großartig. Von mir gibt es 5 Sterne!

Excellent food. Had the classic burger and I wasn't disappointed. Crunchy salad with a really nice patty. As a meat lover I can honestly say I did not even taste the difference. I strongly recommend this place.

Burger was a bit above average maybe. Salad was small, pre-made and packaged in plastic. A beverage they stock was actually my favorite thing. This for 15 euro, so I’m not eager to try it again. There was one sad looking donut left for 3 euro which I didn’t try. You might be more compelled than me by the pink burger and blue hotdog “space Vood” theme though?

Good food, but for a high price - Edit
I’ll be honest that I went into here a little sceptical. So before I get to the food review, a quick bit of background... Space burger is the newest vegan fast food restaurant to open in Vienna, and whilst I was initially looking forward to visiting, I started to question how authentic they really were in their ‘vegan revolution’ style branding. Whilst many people may not care, I certainly get the impression that they are ‘jumping on the latest trend’ to cash in on a growing market and don’t actually care about veganism as a movement, despite their very persistent social media posts which claim otherwise. I may be wrong of course and I won’t let it impact my rating, but that is my impression at least.
Read moreNow to the real review: the shop itself is quite nicely decorated, but very small. Seating is limited to just a few tables jammed into a tiny space, and so if you are visiting I wouldn’t bet on getting a table, especially if you are a group bigger than two. They also play very loud music which makes it difficult to have any kind of conversation.
The food however is very good. They have a good selection of burgers as well as hotdogs, sides and vegan doughnuts! We tried the Mexican burger and the Asian burger. Both were good, although my favourite was the Mexican burger, even if I did think the nachos inside were a slightly strange addition. We also tried the avocado fries which were ok, but after one or two it was kind of enough, and I probably wouldn’t buy them again. But still, it was an interesting option and certainly different from what other places are offering. The vegan doughnuts were also great - especially the space doughnut - and are really one of the only vegan doughnuts you can get in Vienna.
Apart from the limited space, the main downside here is the price. At about €16 for a meal, you’re looking at a VERY expensive burger and fries. It’s almost double what you pay at swing kitchen (their main competitor) just down the road, and i expect this will probably cut into their sales. It’s the sort of price I expect to pay for a meal at a nice restaurant maybe, but not for fast food.
Overall, I recommend trying it. The food is good and it’s an interesting concept, but if the price stays this high I probably won’t be visiting very often, which is a shame...
