The blokes there are so friendly and informative about their food. I had a hospital appointment and we munched our stuff in the car. From now on I’ll always come here after my appointments.

It only cost a tenner - he said he gave me a meal deal. I felt I wanted to pay more like £20 at least because the food was so scrumptious. Flawless.

Nothing not to love here. Great choice of vegan burgers, the herby chips, fantastic cake. I couldn’t eat it every day as it’s sort of junk food but it’s all vegan so all good!

I have eaten quite a few vegan burgers in a range of different restaurants in a lot of different countries... this one was the best! The tainted sowl burger with it's mushroom chestnut & pumpkin seed patty, onion rings, melted cheese and fried tofu is a true vegan delight. Served with herby chips even the hungrier appetite is satisfied . Yum

Highly Recommended Amazing Place - Edit
This place is the absolute gold of vegan places to eat. The guy that owns it, preps and cooks, the fresh food, all to order. He puts the chain stores to shame with his determination, inspiration and hard work. His food is full of flavours, good honest fresh food at excellent value. You certainly won’t leave hungry! He even somehow manages to keep a £5 meal menu going alongside his huge variety main menu.

Sowl fuud vibe - Edit
We researched vegan restaurants on happy cow and trip advisor before our holiday and knew we had to pay Sowl fuud a visit. We were not disappointed. The guys were happy and friendly, the food was plentiful, filling and tasty and the music was bouncy. This mix is what I now call the sowl fuud vibe. We opted to eat in; even though there are only 6 bar type stalls and very limited space and we're so glad we did as it meant we got to experience the sowl fuud vibe fully and chat to the guys that run it. They were interested in us and our vegan journeys. While we were eating some members of the local football team came in with their new T-shirts with Sowl Fuud emblazoned colourfully on the front as their new sponsors. I love that they are all about good food, happiness and community. If you are in the area or just passing through as we were you should pop in for a visit and some cracking fuud.

All I can say to the Sowl Fuud guys is "keep doing what you're doing". We looked around for vegan fare on a recent visit to Gloucester and found Sowl Fuud on Happy Cow. The menu looked great so we boshed down there. We were not disappointed. The cook/owner is a friendly chap on a mission to bring vegan food to Gloucester and if you want exclusively vegan food, this is the only eatery in Gloucester offering that. It is primarily a take away but has six stools to perch on. We had a nugget wrap and a kebab wrap - just stunningly good. Very tasty, well cooked, great flavours. We'll definitely be back when we're in Gloucester again.

Read moreJust for some takeaway food. Ordered 2 soulwraps xl and had a really nice chat with one of the owner. Felt directly welcomed and in a good mood. The wraps were really big and had a really good flavor. Loved the cheese inside. And i liked the herbs on the fries. Gave them a really nice taste The prices are reasonable and i really can recommend that place. Gloucester go vegan! What big step into the right direction! Thanks so much guys!

100% vegan so you don't have to worry about contaminants. The guys there are super friendly and funny! And very passionate about their food. Also gave us advice on where to visit in the area. I just wish I lived in Gloucester because I'd go here all the time. I had the dirty burger, my parents had the stew, and a generous portion of herby fries. We came back later to get takeaway for dinner. Lentil dahl, cakes, and churros!

What a surprise. Not your usual vegan fast food takeaway. This was good home-cooked food with an african theme and a warm welcome to match. I ate the gumbo with coconut rice and loved the extra touch of the tiny dumplings in amongst the veg and delicious sauce. The proprietor told me the sauce was a family recipe.

A fab addition to Gloucester - Edit
I have been to Sowl Fuud a few times now. I can recommend the herby fries, gumbo and rice, the nice cream and the smoothies. I'm going to try the seitan burger next time! Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a look if you're in Gloucester :)
