Not the soul food you're expecting but delicious! - Edit
When a person hears "soul food" it conjures up images of unchicken, biscuits, and collard greens. This is not that kind of soul food but I wasn't left wishing it were. The food here was fresh and delicious. I'd walked all morning and my appetite was fierce so I ordered two of the day's specials: the soup and the sandwich. The soup burnt my mouth because of how excited I was to devour it. Damn, I hate when that happens. Also, the bread was dry and could use a little brushing of margarine. By the time I was half-way through the open-faced haggis sandwich, my belly was screaming for me to stop because I was FULL. Happy and full. This was a very very tasty meal and I only wish I'd saved room for dessert. Great staff, cute little spot that was buzzing on a weekday, and a great stop if you're anywhere near Kelvingrove Museum.

Cons: Misnomer, Grease that bread, Justin Bieber on the stereo :)

Good food, huge portion sizes. - Edit
Really tasty food although crazily filling. Starters are more for sharing than simply as individual portions! Interesting dishes and loads of choice - all very nice and fresh. Would advise checking opening hours as they vary significantly during the week, and kitchen closes about an hour before it shuts.

Awesome - Edit
I visited this place back in Feb 2019 about a month after opening - For starters I had the Artisan bread with a trio of hummus followed by the SoulBurger which was served with sweetpotato wedges as though that wasn't filling enough i pushed that little bit further and selected the indulgent snickkers nicecream for #mdessert before admitting defeat .... greatdecor greatatmosphere greatservice greatvalue & greatfood all in all a big thumbs up from me 👍🏻

Mindblowing food and the nicest staff you could find - Edit
Soul Food Kitchen has many choices on the menu, all equally as delicious it seems - we had the hummus and bread starter, and the sweet potato stuffed with pesto! Best pesto we have ever tasted. Everything is vegan, and the staff is super helpful whenever you have a question/request, and is also super friendly. The location is very cosy too, not too proper either - will definitely come back to try the entire menu and have another one of their creamy chai lattes.

Just great! - Edit
Went here for ‘brunch’ today (though at 2pm I’d call it lunch!). So difficult to choose what to order, extensive menu and specials to choose from. In truth, from looking at other people’s plates, there were no bad options. Really generous potions, tasty food, friendly staff and an amazing range of deserts. Will definitely be back!

Good food and drinks, but no nice atmosphere - Edit
Soul food kitchen makes really nice and (compared to the majority of other places in Glasgow) healthy vegan food. The drinks are nice as well, particularly the kombucha. Everything is priced quite highly (10-12 for a main, 3 pounds for a drink, 3-4 pounds for a dessert) and the atmosphere of the place is a bit too clean and strange for me. Still a good place to go if you are after some good and non-deep-fried food in the west end.

Yippee. I have a new favourite place to eat in Glasgow. Beautifully presented food. Pleasant staff. Inexpensive street parking nearby. Clean and comfortable. No noisy musak to spoil the conversation. It ticks all the boxes.

A welcome addition - Edit
We had a really nice lunch in Soul Food Kitchen today. The space was as lovely as it looks in the photos, spacious and bright. Considering it was their first Sunday open, it got quite busy - which is always great to see in fully vegan spots! Our food was tasty, well-presented and fairly priced, the service was quick and the staff were very friendly and helpful. One thing that would be useful would be to see all menus online - I had seen one menu, but was presented with a different one (a brunch menu) on arrival. No complaints there as there were plenty of tempting options available, I just like to have a nosy ahead of time! We’re looking forward to returning already.

A proper vegan restaurant, great food, no gimmicks - Edit
I went for dinner here with my husband on a quiet Saturday in January. It has a lovely ambience, it was so nice going to a proper grown-up restaurant that is all vegan! I am so happy it exists. Staff were super friendly and the food was great. Small menu (which is good in my opinion). Delicious buddah bowl type meals which sadly left us too full for dessert, the wee cakes looked delicious, wish I had bought some to take away now ...ah well next time :). Price was appropriate in my opinion, £50 for two with drinks.
