Food was decent! There's not seating at the storefront, and there was a decent wait. Glad we tried it but will probably continue trying the other vegan restaurants NYC has to offer

Cheeky attitude- vegan junk/fast food - Edit
Okay, I didn't realize what an experience this would be, and I thought it was hilarious! You will be called a slut and if it's your first time there, it will be announced over the microphone that you are a "virgin" and the entire kitchen will chime in. All the staff were very energetic and smiling. I got the Happy Hooker and they yelled, "We got a Hooker out the door!!" when I left to wait for my order at the window. Everything tasted fresh, but it was junk food and tasted like it. I don't recall if there was seating indoors, but it would pretty loud anyway. There was NO line when I showed up, midday on a partially overcast Tuesday. Somewhat pricey, but in line with a lot of places in the neighborhood. Sandwich comes with fries & sauce and runs $20.

The hype is real, y’all. Finally got a chance to try Slutty Vegan and the flavors are as loud and brash as the storefront.
Read moreWhen I stepped in to pick up my order, I was greeted as a slut by the whole kitchen staff. (Like #truth, I am a slut for vegan food.) They do this whole scripted, call-and-response thing, sorta like the “Ohayō gozaimasu” that some Japanese restaurants do. You don’t even have to be in the store. They noticed someone returning to pick up their order through the window, and the lead said something and the rest of the staff responded. I didn’t catch it all because truth be told, I was a little overwhelmed.
Even if Slutty Vegan’s schtick is not your thing, you can’t deny how tasty their food is. The menu is largely built around their plant-based patty with slut sauce, caramelized onions, lettuce, and tomato on a Hawaiian bun. The different menu options essentially make you choose which one special ingredient to add: bacon, jalapeños, plantains, or pickles.
I got the Dancehall Queen, the one with plantains, cuz if I’m a slut for vegan, I’m a [censored] for sweet jerk plantains. Nomz. It also came with fries, crinkle-cut to maximize the surface area for that Slutty dust seasoning goodness. Oh so satisfying. Definitely worth the return to try their other options.

It was definitely not my thing. It was over $20 for a kid burger and fries. You pay for the experience which was the most horrible experience I had. I don’t like insults shouted at me while I pick up my food. gross!

I've been waiting for over a year to go to Atlanta and wait in line for slutty vegan. Finally was able to try it here in Brooklyn. I've built this place up so much in my head and I'm going to be honest my expectations were through the roof and omg did they deliver! Taste like a real fast food burger but way better! The staff was super friendly and did a great job engaging with the public while we waited in line. I could rave about this place all day. Do yourself a favor and get sluttified here. ❤️

Worth the wait - Edit
Waited on line for about 40 minutes to experience the hype with some non vegan friends. I got some merch and slut dust along with my punch and a one night stand burger. Delicious. Even my non vegan friends were like this is amazing. I’m officially a slut now.

Corner location. Crowded and busy. Metered Street parking almost impossible to find. Parking lots are expensive ($40 for my trip here for food). Brooklyn location does NOT offer the full menu you see online. Lots of energy inside. Staff is friendly and inviting. Ordered one night stand, Hollywood hooker and Chick’n head, all with fries. I was disappointed by the order fulfillment. I received two items instead of three so I am glad I checked. Once I was in my car and driving I realized they also gave be to of the same burgers and I didn’t even receive the Chick’n head. As far as the burger itself and the Hollywood hooker, it didn’t live up to the hype as to what I was expecting. Don’t get it twisted, it was good, just not something outstanding.

An hour wait - Edit
We didn’t brave the line last week which wrapped around and covered 3 blocks. But our one block wait last night was an hour. They had a limited menu (just 3 burgers and no sweet potato pie) but they said they will slowly be adding. The staff is welcoming and fun. It’s pricey for fast food with no place to sit. But it does come with fries and the burgers were big and yummy.
