My go to

Live nearby so visit all the time and always enjoy the food. Have lots of vegan options and a baked treat or two lots of seating inside and outside.

Pros: Good options for vegans

Lovely place for a quick snack

Pretty good selection of vegan options, the food is decent. Had the vegan sarnie and and the energy smoothie, sarnie was ok but the smoothie was outstanding. Would totally recommend the smoothie! Plenty of seating indoors (upstairs and downstairs) as well as outside. The decor is nice, and overall it has a good atmosphere. I would say the main downside of Signals is the price.

You want to STOP at this Signal …

Popped in today for some lunch as Shanti is closed and we were starving.

The menu has a good selection of dedicated vegan breakfasts and lunches. They also have plenty of options that can be meat or plant-based and they have good vegan cheese too.

We ordered 3 lunches to share outside in the sun but had to take one home because they were so filling …

The Famous Vegan Parmo Loaded Fries £7.95 - The skin-on fries were nicely seasoned with the addition of paprika, then smothered in a creamy vegan garlic mayo, before being topped with 3 delicious breaded vegan chicken pieces, a final smothering of loads of vegan cheese with chopped spring onions as a garnish. It was a delicious, indulgent, gooey, a guilty delight and the chicken pieces would have fooled ‘The Colonel’

The Greek Vegan Chicken Gyros £7.95 - A soft tortilla wrap jammed full of vegan chicken strips, skin-on fries, spinach, cucumber, tomato and a red onion salad covered in their vegan garlic mayo, with a sprinkling of black onion seeds on the top. It tasted fresh and light but had a good bite with the vegan chicken and fries. The hot and cold combo in a wrap played with the taste and it was a joy to eat.

The Teriyaki Nourish Bowl £7:95 - This was a Buddha bowl salad consisting of cubed crisped-up tofu, wild rice, roasted chickpeas, broccoli, radish, spinach, sweet potato wedges with an Asian slaw and Moroccan hummus. We had to take it home as we were full, but being a cold dish it kept in the fridge well. It’s tasted as good as it sounds although the wedges were quite dissolved and more like sweet potato mash.

They didn’t have the The Detox Smoothies so we had the Defence Smoothie (big fruits) and an Energy Smoothie (berries). Both were packed full of fruit and refreshing.

Not only does the food look great, it tastes better. Don’t ignore that Signal - STOP Now …

Great selection but staff a little unsure of what was vegan

We've visited a few times and had really great meals and drinks.
Some staff seem a little unsure and do have to check lots of things with other staff when we've asked. For example for a specific hot chocolate, we were told it could be vegan when ordering but then turned out it couldnt be because of the sauce and biscuits but the staff kindly recreated it as best they could with what was vegan.
Bonus is we can take our dog to sit with us!

Pros: Good choice, Portion size is great , Dog friendly

Cons: Gets very busy, hard to sit in sometimes, Opening hours are sometimes wrong

Tasty options

Had the vegan parmo loaded fries and they’re amazing. Cheesy and garlicky- yum! Hot chocolate is gorgeous too. I’ve had the whipped cream before though and it’s not for me. Great options, I’ve been several times.

Pros: Good interesting vegan options, Don’t charge extra for mylks

Lovely

Small, cosy, popular cafe next door to Saltburn railway station. Very friendly service. Many dishes that are or can be vegan including a full English served until 11.30 so I was too late for that unfortunately. I had a very tasty vegan works breakfast sandwich which was sausages, smashed avocado and sun dried tomato. Highly recommend if you're in Saltburn which does lack any fully vegan places.

I would rate a 5 if I could

I would highly recommend signals. Almost every meal has a vegan option. The biscoff hot chocolate was the best hot chocolate ever and I loved the vegan flatbread wrap with sausages, cheese, chutney and sun-dried tomatoes.

Great veggie and vegan breakfasts

Ended up eating here twice as we liked it so much, really tasty breakfasts and great coffee.
We had the vegan breakfast sandwich which had avocado, sundries tomatoes and vegan sausage in really nice bread and the veggie breakfast wrap which had tomato chutney, spinach, cheese, omelette, sundried tomatoes and sausages- both really tasty.
Options are fairly limited in Saltburn so this was a good find. They have veggie and vegan options for most things. If we’d been staying longer we’d have come at lunchtime and had the loaded fries and nut ice cream.

Pros: Very tasty, different from the norm, Locally sourced food, Lovely coffee

Cons: Outside seating on busy junction
