Total must for your trip to Prague

To put things short: The gulash was one of the best I ever had, the "chicken" was also incredibly delicious.

If you visit Prague and want to try traditional Czech food, this is your place to go as a vegan.

exceptionally delicious

The main dish was some of the best food I ever ate at a restaurant. The location is cozy and the staff very friendly. I would definitely go again. Also there were some ladybugs in the garden that paid us a visit while eating.😄

A must visit

This place is definitely worth venturing out of the city center. The food was outstanding. Location and service are chill and there's good music on.

Everything we had was great, but the fish spread and the roasted soy beef on root vegetable puree blew my mind the most

One of the best ever

This is one of my favourite vegan places that I’ve ever been to. Has traditional vegan dishes with different types of loaded fries. Just such an amazing dining experience, definitely must visit this place if in Prague!

Nice food

The food is good, the people serving also, the place however could use a little refurbishing and touch ups.

Great service, intrestingfood

I don't have a reference either if it's "traditional" Czech food.. but the goulash with dumplings were great! Also the ladies are really polite and friendly... It's in some kind of "cave" building that makes for a interesting ambiance

Pros: Great food, Good beer on tap, They speak English, with a smile

Must visit this place

We had a lovely time here, and it was so pleasing to see it almost immediately fill up just after opening.

The fried bread is incredible. We had ours with chilli and cheese. For the mains we tried the chick*n and dumplings and awesome spicy cheese loaded fries. Great selection of drinks too. Loved it.

Vegan version of Czech food

Small pub, with a very traditional simple aesthetic. This isn't a fancy restaurant it's a little pub.

Local beers (from a brewery just 1km away) and vegan versions of traditional food.

We had Topinka and Nerybickova to start, followed by Gulas and Svickova.

Service, beer and food was excellent, highly recommended.

Pros: Vegan versions of traditional food, Local artisan beer, Friendly staff

Amazing food in a weird place

The food was delicious. We had the soy meat and the amazing cheesy fries. 🍟
But unfortunately the atmosphere wasn't really my thing. The garden was not ready yet so we had to sit inside and I didn't really like it there. The music was really noisy. Don't know if I would go there again.

Pros: Delicious food , Good prices

Cons: Noisy music , Atmosphere

Loved every bite

You can eat burgers everywhere but well made Czech dishes are harder to come by.
Tried the goulash and Svickova which look pretty similar but taste very different.
Both delicious!

Best veganised Czech dishes in Prague

This spot feels like a traditional pub, and some aspects of the menu are similarly traditional. There are a few Czech starters like topinka (fried bread with toppings), and about 4 Czech main dishes. For me, these are the best veganised Czech dishes in Prague since Moment closed down. I tried the goulash and the vypecky. The goulash was fantastic, with good meaty chunks and a really rich sauce. The vypecky was good too - not quite as rich as the goulash, but the red cabbage balanced the dish really well and made it feel a little lighter. Both were served with good dumplings. In keeping with Czech tradition, the portions were very generous. I wish I'd had room for a kremrolle, but not this time!

The menu also includes a lot of options for loaded fries, but I only had eyes for the Czech options this time.

Service was fast and friendly, even though it was busy on a Friday evening. I'd recommend a reservation because they were turning people away. Most of the tables were quite large (seating around 8 people), so if you're in a smaller group you might have to share with strangers. It didn't feel uncomfortable or overcrowded though, and the staff were leaving space between diners as much as possible.

Please note that this place is not wheelchair accessible - there are a few steps down on entry, and I think a few steps to get to the bathrooms as well.

Soooo yummy

We had a small soup, the gulash and svickova, which was all so rich in taste. We enjoyed the layed-back atmosphere of the place. Such friendly staff, too! I think it would be the first place I‘d go back to when I‘m in Prague again.
