Nice place to relax - Edit
The place was nice and cozy as outside was cold and hectic. The owner was very friendly and helped me choose which options were vegan. I tried the veggie and potato paratha. It seemed to be just eating fried bread. I couldn't really taste or see the veggies. The potato one was better in that sense but still felt only like oily bread.

Amazing Vegan food with a view! Try the kofta! - Edit
As others have mentioned, the owner knows about people from happy cow coming here. Highlights of our meal were the kofta and tarka daal. Jeera rice was also excellent. Mixed veg curry was good but not standout. The owner also recommended a banana peanut butter shake/smoothie that he started offering (off-menu) in response to some vegans telling him about it. I had it and it was great!

A relief and a delight - Edit
We walked into the restaurant and were greeted by the owner. We explained how we wanted some items made vegan and how it shouldn't have cream or curd. The owner said 'yeah yeah, vegan, I know how to make things vegan.' He then brought out some of the best food we had in India. It was great to not have curds pushed on us and to be able to relax. I will come back to this restaurant if I visit Agra again.

Delicious food. Owner is extremely accommodating and knows how to treat his customer well. Decided to let him decide, wasn’t disappointed. Left with bellies full and a smile on our face. What more can you ask for.

Great vegan spread - Edit
Had an awesome two meals here. The owner is happy to recommend dishes that can be veganised - of which I would recommend the Veggy Kofta, dhal masala, mix veg curry, dum aloo & garlic naan. Make sure you tell the owner you found him through Happy cow & he will have a good chuckle about it with you 😊

The best thali of India! It’s huge, filling and yummy! The place is nice and they have AC for the really hot days in Agra. They’ll put some more dhal if you’re vegan (instead of the curd). Come come come!

The best food in Agra - Edit
Gorgeous food at an extremely cheap price. The people that work here have brilliant English & know the word ‘vegan’. They’ll happily point out the vegan dishes for you & chat away with you at the same time.

Great little place with rooftop seating - Edit
This is the second time I've been here in 4 years. It was great in 2012 and still is now.
Read moreClose to my hotel and the owner is really nice.
The most important thing is the food, and that was very lovely. The prices are incredibly reasonable making you feel as a westerner that you're not being ripped off. Perfect for a backpacking solo traveler or couple. In 2012 I was with my partner, and now in 2016 I'm here alone. Had a vegan curried spinach disk and was amazing
Pros: Great selection of food both Indian and Western , Nice roof top seating area to eat your meal, Awesome advice at back of the menus telling you ho

Simple, organic vegetarian food next to the Taj - Edit
This place stands out among the restaurants closest to the Taj. It is efficiently run by two brothers, Shankar and Govinda, who both speak English well and always take time to chat with you. They use organic vegetables and dairy products which are grown on their family farm that also supplies the wholesale market. They will take time to talk to you and make your food to your specifications. I am a big fan of cauliflower and they let me order gobhi masala even though its not on the menu. You can order your food spicy or not spicy. The thali platter is good value and they will give you extra dal instead of curd if you wish. I don't do dairy, but I can attest to the appeal and beauty of their lassis. Just the sight of them makes everyone else in the place add one to their order. The owners are very interested in your feedback and really want to make you happy as well as continue to improve their service. The place has a couple of rushes during the day as the crowd fluxes and the rest of the time you can have the place to yourself. You order downstairs and then head for the roof if you wish, which has partial views of the Taj and a birdseye view of life in Agra. The wifi was working great when we there. I give this place four stars because of its proximity and dedication to vegetarianism as well as its kind and friendly owners.
