Pretty veg spot with interesting dishes - Edit
This vegetarian serves international as well as Spanish regional dishes, with seemingly many vegan options. We ordered the burritos, which came as two neat little wraps, filled with really nicely-seasoned TVP and vegan cheese, grilled on a sandwich press. We also got the fricandó, a very savory Catalan dish of seitan, with mushrooms and almonds.

All excellent! - Edit
I can't give 5 stars selling animal products, but everything was surprisingly excellent: service, food, ambience,...
Read moreOne of the best vegetarian restaurants I tried in my life. There are several vegan options and all delicious!
We had soy burritos out of the carta and vegan moussaka to share. I suggest to change the cheese because does not melt very well. I tried better vegan cheese.
I also had the fricando, half portion as an entree. If you like stews, don't miss this! It does not have stock, by the way.
You can have half portions of some plates. It is a great idea if you want to share or not.
The chocolate and berries cake was spectacular!!
Pros: Delicious vegan plates, Excellent service
Cons: We want more vegan options for next time

Great food. Comfy seating. Good spot. - Edit
My husband and I ate here twice this week. The food was excellent. Generous serving sizes. Lots of vegan options. Hubby ordered vegetarian meals and I went with vegan options. His lasagna was incredible. The chocolate tart I had was decadent. We don't speak Spanish and the guy who looked after us was very kind and patient as we tried to figure out what we wanted. Soy latte was delicious too.

Great - Edit
Has some of the nicest salads I've had, don't be afraid to ask for vegan cheese as a substitute if you see a non vegan salad that looks good, and the raspberry and cranberry cake is delicious.

Many vegan options! A lot of the vegetarian dishes can be made vegan because they have vegan cheese available. Went there with non-vegans and they all loved it.

Opciones veganas en la ciudad monumental - Edit
Local con decoración muy original y murales en su fachada. Opciones veganas ricas, lástima que no les darán muchas opciones en los postres. Mejor reservar, ¡estaba a rebosar!

Totalmente recomendable.

Boring - Edit
Everything we ordered was very bland and boring. The tabouleh, the cannelloni, and the seitan with nuts. I think the best thing about this place was the strong drinks and the bread.

Amazing food and amazing customer service - Edit
I'm completely in love with this place. If it would be vegan, it'd be hard to top.
Read moreThe attention of the waiters and their knowledge is stunning, no question stays unanswered and nothing unclear.
We had a vegan burrito and the only thing to comment here would be that some rice would have made it better.
Apart from that the food is lovely, the sauces amazing and the apple tart with vegan mango ice cream on top was a perfect end to our meal.
Everything in this restaurant is plastic free and of recycled materials.
A fantastic place.
Pros: Good vegan options Fabulous service
Cons: Quite expensive for Merida

Language is not a barrier when you are hungry - Edit
Very nice place, very friendly staff (English speaking person was absent on that day probably), still we managed to understand each other (with google translate app, of course) perfectly. My wife had stuffed mushrooms and I had a vegan burrito with veggies and beans. I even managed to order a spicy sauce on the side. The dessert we had was a vegan Apple pie with raspberry-mango ice-cream. The ice-cream texture and flavor were so rich and creamy - we triple checked it doesn't contain any dairy products and is really vegan. Prices are really reasonable.

This was truly an incredible place! Delicious food, huge sangria’s and very friendly and generous staff who gave us great advice and, when we couldn’t choose what to take for desert, who gave us in incredible plate full of tastings. We stayed 4 days in Merida and it was one of two restaurants with vegan options, with Fusiona Gastro Bar, so it was a must see. The atmosphere is very nice and the service very friendly. There are many vegan options on the menu. We tried the zucchini and potato pancakes, seitan stew, fruit salad and noodles with vegetables, and they did not disappoint, good portions and very tasty.

Lovely - Edit
It was very exciting to find Shangri-La in Merida; it is very hard to find vegetarian food in Spain. There was a good choices of dishes, and the owner/chef consulted with us a lot to make sure we were happy with our meal. She was a very interesting person to talk with. The ambiance, decor and music were very pleasant. We ate there twice during our 5 day stay and enjoyed our meals very much.

Having travelled up a few hours from El Rocio through decidedly carniverous Huelva, where Museums of Ham and sausage making plants ruin an otherwise fairly pleasant landscape, I was exstatic to be informed by the lovely ladies of the Tourist Information centre in Mérida that this place existed.
Read moreI went in the evening and enjoyed the welcoming ambience, comfort and hospitality. The place has been running for roughly a year. The decor was vibrant with nice pictures of flowers and a hint of holistic undercurrents (a little dream-catcher in one corner and some nice artwork on the exterior which includes a quote: "When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will be at peace") but I did not find the place to be overtly hippyish. There was a bar and at the time I was there, Michael Jackson was on the stereo.
I was most impressed with the service. The young waitress (who had spent time in the UK and the USA so I'm guessing would be able to translate the Spanish menu) was pleasant and attentive. When I asked which dishes were vegan she promptly went off to check with the cook- her mother. The chef was pleasant and oblliging and came away from her work to tell me that 2 out of the 3 salads were vegan (and the third could be veganised), along with the spaghetti bolognaise, the tofu with mushrooms, the seitan with vegetablles and a few other dishes.
I had the spaghetti and could not eat it all as the protion was huge. It was very tasty.
Sadly there were no vegan dessert options but vegetarians could look forward to different home-made desserts such as a 3 chocolate tart, carrot cake, cheesecake and there were a variety of teas and coffees.
Prices ranged from €8 to €12.
It was easy enough to find as it was just up from the Roman Temple of Diana.
Pros: tasty food, nice ambience, attentive service
Cons: no vegan dessert
